Myungsoo’s POV

After that damn Sungyeol sent off my beloved Sungjong, he then proceeded to force me to get to know Suzy.

“She’s from the Jyp Nation, your Highness. Just… try to get to know her at least.” He whispered to me with venom, the word 'least' emphasized with a hiss, before pushing me towards the awaiting princess.

I will be needing a few changes around here.

And I will start off with that damn royal adviser of mine.

But before I carry out my changing plans, I need to finish entertaining the princess so she can finally go back home to her kingdom.

“After you, my lady.” I gestured to her towards the door. She giggled as a response and gracefully made her way outside as I follow her from behind.

She suddenly stopped walking in the middle of the long corridor, turned to me and tilted her head in what seemed to be confusion. I just stared at her with a poker face, unsure of what could she be wanting from me now.

She took a few steps backwards to stand beside me, with a smile on her face.

“Don’t you think we should walk side by side?” She suggested.

Uh, no thanks. I tried to reply to her telephatically but since I am a prince, I have lived by the rules that I should not be rude to ladies. 

And so, not wanting to be rude about not really liking to walk side by side with her, I was quick to refuse her suggestion and walked ahead her instead.

“My apologies. I think it is more respectable if I lead the way since this is my castle anyway and I know the way around.” I suggested to her and signal her to follow me, not wanting to deal with her and more of her excuses and refusals.

Honestly, I really just don't want to walk with her. Who knows, she might clung onto my arm and Sungjong might see and misunderstand and run away. I can't be dealing with that and the heartache that will come along with it.

So I continue to walk ahead but slowly, so she won't have difficulties to keep up. I remained silent and let her bask in the beauty of my kingdom.

“What a beautiful country.” Suzy finally initiating a conversation with me after what seemed like 10 minutes of walking in silence. “It’s rich and green.”

“Thank you.” I replied, without glancing back at her.

“My country is quite uncomfortable with buildings and people everywhere.” She continued with the compliments, more likely to get me to strike a very long conversation with her.

I seriously have no time for this and this getting to know thing with the princess.

“Is that so?” I said in reply, feeling like I have replied quite rudely. Well, I’m not really sure if that last reply was kind of rude or not. But maybe it is since she has stopped talking and let our conversation end there. But maybe she has nothing more to say about my or her kingdom.

Thinking about it, is she even talking about her kingdom or the rural areas in her country?

Cause honestly, it’s just the rural areas that are usually like that.

I continued walking yet carefully listening to her footsteps to know if she’s still behind me.

This one has been softening stiff shoulders.

“SUNGJONG-SHII!” Sunggyu’s booming voice startled me so I immediately turned to the direction I have heard it from.

And boy, I do not regret turning because right over there is a very amusing scene to see.

“Pfft!” I suddenly made a very un-princely sound from restraining my laughter. It really is just too funny that I choked back a laugh and almost lost my princely composure in front of a princess.

I suddenly felt princess Suzy's presence beside me and watched the scene with a weirded expression on her face. “That person is…” Suzy suddenly spoke from beside me but I have not heard more from her since I was too busy from the need to restrain myself from laughing and getting embarrassed for that amusing scene.

Sungjong’s POV

“SUNGJONG-SHII!” Sunggyu-hyung yelled at me as soon as he saw me on top of a tree. Well, it wasn’t really a tall tree, so I don’t think he needs to worry and get angry so much?

“What are you doing?!” He continued yelling and glaring at me. Well, honestly, I really can’t tell if he really was glaring at me what with all his small eyes and all. But since he is mad, perhaps he is indeed glaring at me.

Oh well, moving on, he’s really mad already. Better explain things fast.

“Sunggyu-hyung, I’m sorry!” I began to apologize to him as I quickly tried to get down from the tree. “T-there was a bird caught onto this tree’s branch and I wanted to rescue it.” I then showed him the bird that I was holding against my palm as proof that I was telling him the truth.

But the injured bird didn't even soften his hard heart a bit because he only continued yelling at me. “You can’t do something like that!”

“Eh?!?! I can’t rescue an animal in need?” I can't believe he's as hard-hearted as this!

“Climbing a tree, nurturing animals! Put aside such things!” His figure hovering over me and began pointing his finger on me. “I guess my education is still not enough, huh?” I slowly trailed my eyes to meet his, almost laughing at his attempt to make his eyes bigger just to scare me off.

Good thing I didn't cause I will certainly get an additional earful from him.

“Ehem.” A different voice interrupted us, taking both of our attentions and finally noticing the presence of none other than the prince Myungsoo. And of course, his royal visitor, princess Suzy.
