Tiffany’s steps slowed as she caught sight of her ‘boyfriend’, slumped on the bench at the end of the park, his head buried in his hands. She hesitated for a moment, before taking a deep breath and heading towards him.

            Wooyoung looked up as someone stopped before him. An unconscious sneer crossed his face, “What’re you doing here?”

            Tiffany ignored the rudeness in his tone, and sat down beside him. In a voice as emotionless as she could muster, she said, “I know what you’ve been trying to do.”

            Wooyoung stared at her.

            “Actually, I’ve known from the very start. I just didn’t want to admit it to myself.” Tiffany continued, a bitter smile marring her features, “Foolish, wasn’t it?” She waited for Wooyoung to speak, but he remained silent, just watching her. Finally, tired of the silence, Tiffany said, “Go back to Taengoo. Apologise and make up with her. You know that’s what you want. Your return, your ‘revenge’, was all for the purpose of catching her attention.”

            Her words tipped him over. Abruptly, he leapt to his feet and slammed his hands on either side of her, snarling, “You think that’s what I came back for? Ridiculous! I’m going to bring her down, damn what you all say!”

           Tiffany stared up at him, frozen in shock. Then, anger began to take over. She leapt to her feet too, and took a threatening step forward, shouting, “Don’t be so damn stupid, Wooyoung! She loves you! It’s always been you!”
