I yawned softly as the soft light of the sunrise hit my face. I lifted my head off my purple pillow and stretched the best I could in my airplane seat. My best friend Micha was curled up in her seat and was still asleep. Her short legs tucked under her and her long brown hair covering her face. We had just finished our junior years of high school and had the amazing opportunity to be assistants to U-KISS over the summer and even take our last year of high school in South Korea in order to help them for the rest of the year.

I pulled my own long curly hair into a ponytail and climbed out my seat to use the restroom. As I made my way back to my seat the pilot started speaking over the intercom. 

"우리는 10 분 안에 인천 공항에 도착합니다." (We will be arriving at Incheon Airport in ten minutes)

 I smiled, because I could understand what he was saying. I shook Micha awake and told her what the pilot said.

"Finally! I am so ready to meet them!"

"Don't you mean meet DongHo?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

Micha shoved me playfully and then smiled. "What about Eli, Ms. I'm so in love with him and everything that has to do with him?” 

I ignored her and smiled softly. Eli was just so amazing! He is athletic, can sing, act and dance and can cook! What's not to love about him. Plus he is very very muscular so I wasn't complaining. 

The plane started its descent and suddenly everyone on the plane was awake. People were collecting their things and making sure that their carry-on bags were closed properly. 

About 3 minutes passed and the plane landed. Micha and I grabbed our things and headed to the door. Everyone person we passed gave us looks of shock or appreciation. It wasn't lost on us that we were pretty, but we didn't truly expect so many males to pay us that much attention.

We stepped into the terminal and I nearly fainted at all the people I saw. How were we to find their manager in this crowd. 

ELI POV

I don't know why I decided to go with our manager to help get our new assistants. I mean instead of waking up before the sun rose I could've been sleeping peacefully in my new loft in downtown Seoul. We were waiting in the terminal for the two girls when I saw a Starbucks. 

"난 커피를 가져 올게," (I'm getting coffee) I said before I walked over to the Starbucks kiosk. 

On my way back I saw a tall girl with orangish-brown skin, long curly hair and legs that made me take a second look. She was slim but not super skinny like the girls that I knew and had curves that weren't fully developed but I did appreciate them. I could tell, even from the distance I was at the she had no make-up on and she still looked beautiful. She was walking with a girl who was much shorter than her with skin that was a pretty chocolate color. She was way curvier and her hair was more wavy than curly like her friend’s. Her hair was just a bit shorter. She didn't have make-up on either but you could tell she was gorgeous. 

I started to walk over to them to talk to them aka the tall girl when I saw my manager briskly walk towards them. They smiled graciously and bowed to him. I stopped square in my tracks. 

These are our new assistants?

IMANI POV

Manager Woo told us to follow him to the chairs and that he was waiting for the boy to come back. 

I started to ask which of the members came with him, when he came into my line of sight. Ellison Kim stood there with a cup of Starbucks in his hand. I bowed and said a formal hello before focusing on the small scrap of paper near his foot. 

He returned the hello and then turned to Micha to say hello. She kept her composure a lot better than I did because she then suggested that we get our bags and walked off with our new boss. 

I stared up at Eli and he tilted his head towards manager and Micha. 

"So what's your name?" He asked in English.

"Imani (e-ma-ni)"

"I'm Eli, but I'm guessing you know that. Am I wrong?"

I giggled "No you are very right.”

ELI POV

When she giggled I felt something tugging at my heart. I hadn't had that feeling since I dated Kate- I quickly tossed her from my memories and focused on the smiling girl next to me. I couldn’t place it, but something about her felt so incredibly familiar. 

"How old are you?" I asked. 

"17 in America, 18 here." she replied, her voice not sounding at all like the high twittering voice that most girls had. Imani's voice was warm and held a certain quality to it that made me want to listen to it more. 

"How was your flight?" 

"Long but very comfortable. I enjoy flying, but traveling more so." she said. Her voice a tad louder, as if she were more comfortable with me already. 

"Well you will do lots of traveling working with us." 

I glanced ahead of me and realized we were already at the baggage claim. I looked down at her and chuckled. Her eyes were narrowed in an intense stare at the baggage rack. 

"What does your's look like?" I asked.

"Two purple suitcases with black ribbons tied around the handle. Like bigger versions of my carry-on" she said without moving her eyes.

I laughed again and watched for her bags. Micha grabbed her bags, a dark blue suitcase and a deep red duffel bag. She glanced back at us and smirked. I looked at Imani, thinking maybe they had an inside joke or something and realized that Imani missed the smirk altogether. I looked back at her and she smiled like she had a secret and turned to Manager Woo. 

Imani's bags came out and I rushed forward to grab them for her. I tossed my empty coffee cup in a trash can next to the rack and grabbed both suitcases at once.

"Oh thank you! That was very kind of you!" she said with sincerity in her voice.

I nodded and felt a great deal of happiness that I made her smile. 

"모두들 축하합시다 가지 (Let's go everyone)" Manager Woo said before grabbing Micha's duffel from her. I followed his example and gave Imani the smallest suitcase to pull behind her. She smiled sweetly and followed our manager to the exit. 

I kept going through things in my head to ask her, something to strike up a conversation and failed hopelessly. Why was I getting so worked up over a girl I just met. Sure she was pretty beautiful, but I don't even know her. I'm doing all these things to make her like me and she could have a boyfriend back in the US for all I know. 

"Do you have a boyfriend?" I asked before mentally kicking myself. 

She smiled. "No, I have a small crush, but it's one sided. He doesn't even know I exist." she said sadly. 

"Oh, well what's he like?" I asked as we neared the van. 

"Are you really asking me about my crush?" she said with a cute grin. 

"Yeah. I think I am." I said before putting her and Micha's bags in the back. 

"Well then, he is tall and white and has really pretty eyes and plays sports and an instrument and has a girlfriend. We are good friends but he doesn't know at all." She replied. 

NORMAL POV

Eli stared at me for a second. "Well, since you are here you can forget about him. I'll find you a nice guy to date." He said before throwing his arm over my shoulder. I laughed and nodded.
