Taeyeon’s POV

It’s a very weird day today.

Why?

Well, our house is empty.

Not empty literally, but empty because my noisy brothers aren’t home. Now, where could they be? I tried calling each one of them but no one answered. Hmmm, they are probably out for a date with their girlfriends. But, wait. Myungsoo doesn’t have a girlfriend. Ah, he must be out for a practice

I just sat in the living room watching tv while I keeping myself alert for any signs of a text message or a call on my phone from Kyungsoo. The last text message that I received from him was a ‘good morning!’ and nothing followed even after I replied to him. I wonder what’s up with him

Oh my! Could it be that he has found me and my family to be really weird that he doesn’t want to associate with me anymore? But, if he thinks that way, he wouldn’t have greeted me this morning. Wouldn’t he?

What if he’s on a date with a girl?! What if Baekhyun arranged him for a date with another girl?! I am going to kill him if he’s dating someone right now

Wait

I’m jealous?

Oh my freak! I am jealous!

Why am I getting jealous?! But, I don’t have the freaking right to get jealous. Who am I to get jealous at him when he’s with someone else?

I’m just his friend. He hasn’t even told me he likes me.

Wait, what?

What do you freaking mean with that statement Kim Taeyeon?! He likes me?! Why am I seriously getting ahead of myself?! I am assuming for pete’s sake!

I tried to dial his number but I only heard the operator answering and I was then forwarded to his voice mailbox.

I heaved out a sigh as I sprawled myself over the sofa.

I can’t call my girlfriends too because I might disturb their date with my brothers. Wait. Why don’t I spoil their dates too? They’ve been spoiling mine, why not do the same to them, right?

Time for a little pay back! I got on my feet and walked to my bedroom

I dialed Tiffany’s number. Wow, she picked up rather fast. Just 2 rings?

[hello?]

“hi Tif! Are you busy?”

[nope]

“what?!”

[I’m not. I’m totally free. Why?]

“I thought that you’re on a date with Jaejoong oppa?”

[hahaha, aniya. Jae oppa is with ‘the boys’ as he said , for today]

“the boys?” oh, so he is with his co-lawyers today?

[uhn, it seems that they are off for some quality time. Why?]

“nothing really. I just thought I’d get my revenge today, but puff you just popped my bubble” I answered as I plopped myself in bed

[too bad Taeng. Hahaha, anyways I hope you understand that your brothers just love you so much]

“ara, anyways how about let’s hang out later?”

[no date with Kyungsoo today? I thought you’re exclusively dating now]

“we’re just… hanging out as friends...” I answered unsurely “so, same place?” I asked diverting the topic

[okay, how about Jess?]

“I doubt that if she’ll come but I’ll call her anyways. Bye!”

[ok, see you later!]

I lazily dialed Jess’ number. Unlike Tiffany, Jessica took her time in answering the phone. She’s probably on a date with Jungwoon oppa. I feel guilty in ruining oppa’s date because among the three he’s the most considerate one and he even helped me learn how to cook. I was about to end the call, but oh well, Jessica already answered

[hello?] I heard Jessica’s sleepy voice from the other line

“er, did I wake you up?”

[yeah, and you better tell me a valid reason for waking me up Kim Taeyeon] Jessica threatened with her cold unnerving voice.

“oh, I’m sorry Jess. I thought you’re on a date Jungwoon oppa” I answered nervously

[nope, he’s out with the boys] Jess’ voice suddenly sounded softer. Thank you so much Woon oppa! I swear, I’ll never spoil your date ever.

“wait. The boys?”

[neh, your brothers]

“my brothers?”

[uhn, he said that they are off for some quality time] huh? Quality time? Why does it seem like something is wrong here?

[Why? No date with Kyungsoo today? I thought you’re exclusively dating now]

“Tiffany said exactly the same thing”

[what? The exclusively dating part? Why, aren’t you?]

“we… were not”

[what?! How come?!]

“well, my brothers are really something if you remembered”

[I am going to punish oppa for doing this to you]

“Soo-yeon ah, you don’t need to do that to oppa. He’s the kindest oppa”

[but, he’s still part of it]

“aigoo, it’s really okay Jess. Don’t worry. How about we hang out today? Tiffany’s going”

[yeah sure, same place?]

“yep, see yah!”

[ok, bye!]

I asked the driver to drive me to our usual place, we usually come here when the two of them were still single. It’s been awhile since the girls and I have hung out together. I around first in the café and soon came Tiffany then Jessica.

“so Jae’s ex is getting married to your ex?” Jessica asked and I just nodded

“and Jae oppa’s the best man” Tiffany added

“what? Isn’t that awkward?” Jessica

“nah, they’re all in good terms. Even I am good friend with Victoria unnie” Tiffany answered

“how about you Taeng? Flower girl?” Jessica teased

“ha.ha Jess. How about you and Woon oppa?” I asked her back

“doing good” she answered plainly

“and your turtle?” I teased

“what turtle Taeng?” Tiffany asked curiously

“Woon oppa gave her a turtle” I answered

“aren’t you scared of turtles?!”

“y-y-yeah, but he said that I should cure my phobia… you know… getting over it” Jessica answered shyly. Tiffany grinned on the said teasing Jessica mentally

“yah, Hwang Miyoung stop smiling idiotically there” Jessica warned her

“I can’t believe that you’re acting so cute and shyly right now Jung Soo-yeon” Tiffany squealed

“enough of me and you Tif. How about the ‘we’re not exclusively dating’ status Taeng?” Jessica asked while quoting my previous statement using her fingers as quotation marks

“yeah. Seriously, just friends?” Tiffany asked with her eyebrows raised to the sky

“it’s the truth… DO hasn’t said anything about going beyond friends yet… but… somehow… I can feel that… he likes me… I think” I shyly answered

“and you want to be more than friends, right?” Jessica teased.

“and you want your assumptions to be true, right?” Both Jessica and Tiffany stared at me waiting for my answer. I can’t hide anything from the two of them. Even if I don’t tell me, they probably already know my answer.

“I like him” I said instead of answering their questions

“like? Just like?” Tiffany questioned

“I don’t think so Taeng” Jessica speculated

See, I told you. Right? Even if I don’t tell them anything, they will know.

“ara, I love him. Happy now?” I answered glaring at them

“finally! Taengoo is in love again!” Jessica exclaimed

“I told you Kyungsoo would do good with Taeyeon” Tiffany added

“we’re so happy for you Taeng” they squealed and hugged me

“yah, we’re celebrating as if I became his girl friend”

“you will, soon” Jessica answered as if she’s hiding something and Tiffany just nodded.

We chatted about random stuff – school, my brothers, the lunch yesterday and many more.

Their phones then beeped at the same time. They checked their phones, smiled and exchanged meaningful glances with each other. Then they looked at me.

*ring ring ring*

Do Kyungsoo calling...

[hi Tae!] he greeted me immediately, I can sense great excitement from his voice

“oh hi, DO” I greeted back and I could see that the two ladies in front of me were smiling from ear to ear.

[can we meet up?]

“m-m-meet?” Tiff and Jess’ smiles became even wider when they heard what I just said

[neh? Are you busy?] Jessica and Tiffany mouthed ‘meet him’

“no, I’m actually free. Why?”

[I’ll tell you later. So, where will I get you?]

omo! what could be the reason why DO wants to meet Taeng? and what's with the weird glances of her dear friends? hmmmm, stay tuned for more updates guys. well, there probably is just one more update and we all have to say goodbye to this story. :'( but still, I'm hoping to read your comments and hopefully see some upvotes. ;) thanks for your continued support. i love you all. ciao! :*
