Kyungsoo’s POV

Taeyeon wandered around my personal library. And just as I feared she saw what I didn’t want her to see… the piano

“DO, do you play the piano?” she asked

“I do… but I’m not particularly good at it…” I answered. It’s the truth, I’ve given up on the piano. I can no longer play such thing with such memories about it

“can you play one song for me?”

I didn’t answer. My mind was busy battling whether to sit there or not

“pretty please, Kyungsoo?” she pleaded and showed me her cutesy face

“ah… how can I resist you?” I murmured. She seemed not to hear what I’ve said

“what did you say?”

“nothing” I answered not wanting her to know my soft spot for her.

My hands quickly positioned themselves, as if I hadn’t played the piano for long. I thought of a song that fits how I feel right now, just like how she taught me. I’ve thought hard and found the right song for Taeyeon.

I started playing the song.

I stared at her.

Her beauty just captures me

She stares back at me

I hope she gets my feelings through this

With the few lines of the song, I can’t help but get drawn to her. So, I stood up and went near her. I tried to gently touch her face that I’ve been longing to touch. I’ve been wondering how her skin felt like. I felt a gentle wave of electric current flow through my finger tips as I touched her face.

Oh, how smooth her face was.

Now I understand what Baekyun said.

Without even knowing the basics, I did what I thought I should.

I tilted my head in order to have a greater access as I slowly shut my eyes as I closed the distance between our lips

Oh, how I wonder how those lips would feel on mine.

I could feel her breath.

The distance between us were about to disappear when suddenly I heard the door opening

“Kyungsoo baby!” our eyes both widen at the sudden appearance of my mom and dad. Taeyeon distanced herself from me.

“oh my, did we come at the wrong moment honey?” dad asks

“oh my, I think so daddy. Mianhe, my baby” mom sheepishly apologized

“mom… dad… didn’t you tell me to knock first before coming into someone else’s room?”

I slapped my forehead out of frustration. Crap! Why does tries always fail?

“oh right, we’ll just make our exit then and forget that we ever came” mom remarks

“yeah, and you can continue what you were supposed to do” dad adds

Oh god!

Taeyeon’s POV

That was so embarrassing! And to think his parents were the ones who saw us. But, we weren’t doing anything bad or something. Aish!

“Taeyeon ssi…” his mom called out

“ah, dae?” I answered flustering

“you don’t need to get flustered” she said while giggling

How could I not get flustered? When there is only the two of us. But, I think having Kyungsoo here with us now would make things more awkward.

Well, Kyungsoo is with his dad right now. They are baking. While me and his mom was at their lawn. His mom is feeding the fish on their pond

“ah… dae” I answered trying to relax

“Kyungsoo, as you can see… is not very sociable” she started off

“well, he wasn’t like that at first… it all started when Jinri left” she continued

I  can’t help but contain my curiosity and subconsciously asked “who is Jinri?”

“Jinri… she’s Kyungsoo’s noona…” she answered with a sad expression

“but… I thought he was an only child” I stated

“well, he wasn’t until 5 years ago… he had an older sister but she’s no longer with us”

“I’m sorry to hear that” I consoled her

“nah, it’s okay. I know wherever she is, she is happy… and probably thankful to you Taeyeon ssi”

“me? Why?”

“you see, playing the piano was their hobby. They loved playing it together. After her death, Kyungsoo stopped playing the piano because he thinks he caused his noona’s death”

“but, why would he think… oh I’m sorry, I must be putting you in an awkward situation asking you all this questions” I awkwardly smiled noticing how my curious self has been dominating over me

“it’s okay Taeyeon ssi… that day Kyungsoo had an argument with his dad regarding the piano, with an upset heart Kyungsoo ran and almost got hit by a bus but was saved by Jinri. But unfortunately, despite being the daughter of two doctors, Jinri wasn’t saved” Kyungsoo’s mom explained while looking at the sky

“that incident explains why our Kyungsoo stopped interacting with people, playing the piano and bonding with us, his family” she adds as she continue to feed the fishes

“ahhh… but why are you thanking me?” I asked

“because you’ve opened him up” she smiled at me

“what do you mean?” I asked quite puzzled

“him playing the piano today made me and his father so happy… though we need to apologize for ruining your moment”

I shouldn’t have asked. Gosh, now I’m reminded of that awkward moment

“there’s no need to be embarrass sweetie… it’s normal”

I blushed even harder with what she added

“omo, you’re such a cutie… I really want you to be my daughter-in-law” she squealed while cupping my face.

“honey… what are you doing?” Kyungsoo’s dad suddenly came, followed by Kyungsoo who was bringing some salad

“oh nothing… are you done with your father-son bonding?”

Kyungsoo’s father looked at him and he smiled saying “dae, umma”

Kyungsoo’s POV

“Mianhe” I broke the silence that was building between the two of us as she sat on the passenger seat as I drove her home.

Today was one hell of a day. It was so embarrassing to get caught by my parents as I attempt to kiss the girl I like. And second, I kinda felt relieved because I was able to speak normally to my parents already, its probably because dad and I finally got to talk about noona. I felt a whole lot of weight has lifted off my shoulders when I played the piano

“wae?”

“well, things went a little awkward at home… I apologize for that” I explained

She shook her

“nah, you don’t need to apologize… I enjoyed getting to know you’re parents and you too” she answered back

“it must have been inconvenient on your side that my parents thought you were my girl friend”

“I already told you that its okay…stop being so apologetic” she said as she pinched my cheek at the end of her sentence

“gomawo”

“ohhh… everyone seems to be thanking me today… waeyo?” she asked

“well, for a lot of things… you probably heard about noona right?”

“dae”

“well thanks”

“I don’t understand how I could have helped?” she asked

‘you’ve soften my heart’ I answered at the back of my head but didn’t say a word to her but instead I gave a smile.

“ehhhh? What’s with the smile?” she probed

“nothing” I answered

“eh, no fair” she pouted

“its for me to know and for you to find out” I answered while sticking my tongue out

“yah, since when did you become so childish?” she whined

A few minutes later, we arrived in front of Taeyeon’s house

“so we’re here” I announced

“thanks for driving me home… and please extend my thanks to your mom and dad” she bid while she remove her seatbelt

“it’s always a pleasure to drive you home” I answered

“and Kyungsoo ah”

“dae?”

“I’ve noticed that you tries have always failed” she stated

“what do you mean?” I asked in utter confusion

“I meant this” she quickly pecked my lips which surprised me and dumbfounded

“oh, succeeded in one try… hahaha, bye-bye! Drive safely” she quickly got out of my car without waiting for me to get back on my senses

What just happened?

Did Taeyeon just kiss me?
