Third Person's POV

“So, Kyungsoo ssi… what does your parents do?” Heechul asked

“my parents are both doctors” Kyungsoo answered

“I heard from Jungwoon that you’re a regular in his clinic”

“yes, I am. I go there on weekly basis to get my dog checked by Jungwoon hyung”

“I also heard from Jaejoong that you almost broke Changmin’s arm”

“oh, yeah. I almost did. Attorney Shim angered me when he talked bad about Taeyeon”

“Changmin haven’t gotten over Taeyeon hasn’t he?” Jungwoon asked

“he’s trying because he knows he can’t have Taeyeon anymore” Jaejoong answered

“hey, you’re talking as if I’m not here” Taeyeon interjected

“good for him” Heechul commented

“oppa!” Taeyeon whined

“so Kyungsoo, do you know self defense?” Heechul asked Kyungsoo once more

“a little bit… why?”

“well, we must assure that the person Taeyeon goes with can defend her whenever needed” Jaejoong explains as to why his older brother instigated his abilities

“Changmin knows hapkido” Jungwoon added

“ahhh, I remember that Heenim beat the crap out of Changmin” Jaejoong laughed

“yah, why are we even talking about the past? And seriously why are you even testing Kyungsoo?” Taeyeon whined

“I know a little bit of taekwondo” Kyungsoo answered ignoring Taeyeon’s whining

“wooo, taekwondo… Heenim is good at that” Myungsoo joined the conversation

“I haven’t been there in the dojo in quite some time. how about we go there Kyungsoo ssi?” Heechul suggested while doing a bit of warm up

“yah, oppa! What do you mean you haven’t been there? Didn’t you just beat the three of them last week?!” Taeyeon suddenly bursts

“noona, you’re embarrassing us in front of Kyungsoo hyung” this time Myungsoo was the one who whined

All of them laughed at Myungsoo’s whining. Lunch at the Kim’s was nerve wrecking for Kyungsoo. He sat there with 4 burly brothers of the apple of his eyes. Two of them seemed friendly while the other two were the opposite, especially the eldest brother Kim Heechul.

As soon as he entered the Kim’s house he felt someone glaring at him and it was of course the most protective brother of Taeyeon. Well, he feared all of them because they have witnessed all his failed attempts to plant a kiss on their younger sister. And he knows very well that they were the ones who tried to desperately stop him. Who knows what they are up to this time?

“Kyungsoo, has anyone ever told you that your eyes are kinda troubling?” Jaejoong asked

“yes, a lot. Taeyeon was even one of them” Kyungsoo honestly answered

“he actually has sort of the same eye expression with Heechul oppa” Taeyeon commented. Heechul gave Taeyeon a questioning look

“what? I’m just saying… the three of you, Changmin and Kyungsoo have big eyes oppa” Taeyeon explained

“oh, is that why you are starting to like Kyungsoo ssi?” Jungwoon probed which made Taeyeon spit out a bit of the water she was drinking

“what are you talking about oppa?!” Taeyeon asked flustered

“that explains things, you always say Heenim is your favorite oppa” Jaejoong adds on

“yah! Oppa!” Taeyeon whined and was already blushing real hard. Jungwoon, Jaejoong and Myungsoo teased Taeyeon further

“let me get this straight Kyungsoo ssi” Heechul finally spoke again which silenced all his younger siblings

“dae?”

“so, are you and Taeyeon in a relationship as of the moment?” Heechul asked making both Taeyeon’s and Kyungsoo’s eyes to widen

“oppa! What are you talking about?! We’re just friends!” Taeyeon shrieks

*ding dong*

“Answer the door Taeng” Heechul commanded and Taeyeon just obediently followed

“we are in the process of getting to know each other” Kyungsoo flatly answers

“that’s good then” Heechul remarked making his dongsaengs to perk up a questioning look on him

“well, that means you aren’t like Changmin who skipped the tests and made Taeyeon his girlfriend right away”

“hyung, Changmin at that time was already our friend for 2 years so it’s more or less implicated that he was already accepted in the family” Jaejoong defended his bestfriend

“yes, and he made Taeyeon cry and get broken because he wasn’t able to control his self and made Vic, your ex-girlfriend pregnant” Heechul answered and looked sharply at Jaejoong

“we just don’t want our Taeyeon to get hurt Kyungsoo ssi” Jungwoon pacifies

“dae, I never want to see noona that way again” Myungsoo adds

“she has suffered well enough after Changmin” Jaejoong bitterly said

“I don’t intend to” Kyungsoo answered them with sincerity in his eyes

“ahhh, his eyes still bothers me” Jaejoong commented

The five of them burst into laughter with Jaejoong’s statement

“but, we still don’t approve of you… you must prove to us first that you are worthy of her” Heechul breaks the merriment with his announcement

“I understand, and I am willing to take on the challenge”

“oppa! You’re such an . Why didn’t you pick Sohee unnie? So ungentleman like to let your girlfriend come over herself” Taeyeon lectures her older brother

“wait…wait…” Myungsoo said while waving his hand “Sohee? Who’s that?”

“Where is she T-“ Heechul’s question was cut off when a girl came into his sight

“hi!” the girl said. The rest of the family had their jaw dropped

“babe, why didn’t you text me you already arrived?” Heechul asks as he greeted the girl

“mianhe, I left my phone at home”

“wait! Hyung?” Myungsoo asked

“what?”

“what is the meaning of this?” Myungsoo asked

“she’s my girlfriend” Heechul answered

“you’re dating an idol? And not just any idol, but Wonder Girls’ Sohee?!” Myungsoo exclaimed

Sohee smiled politely at the way Myungsoo reacted. Disbelief was painted in Myungsoo’s face which made his older brother a little bit irritated.

“yah! What’s with the look Kim Myungsoo? Do you think you’re brother can’t get a good girl friend?” Heechul scolded his younger brother

“it’s not like that hyung… it’s just that you didn’t say anything about having a girlfriend before” Myungsoo tried to explain

“I feel the same way too, hyung” Jaejoong said

“oh, I heard a rumor before that Ahn Sohee was dating a young business man. I never thought that it was my own brother” Jungwoon said

 “eh? So I was the only one who knows?” Taeyeon asked

“it’s because you kept on snooping around Taeng” Heechul explained

The Kim’s along with Sohee and Kyungsoo enjoyed their lunch together. Heechul didn’t investigate much on Kyungsoo any longer because Sohee told him not to. After lunch the two girls decided to do the dishes so that they could bond. Heechul took this chance to dig up some dirt about Kyungsoo. He nudged Jaejoong to ask the question

“how did you meet Taeyeon?” Jaejoong starts off

“we are classmates”

“so, you just know each other for about 5 months or so?” Kyungsoo nods at Jaejoong’s question

“aish, just cut the chase Jaejoong!” Heechuls exclaims impatiently “what do you think about Taeyeon? Do you feel something for my sister?” he asked

Kyungsoo gulped down his saliva seeing that Heechul was like a hungry lying prying on him. It took him a few seconds before he answered. He thought hard about his answer and made sure that he used the right words to describe how he feels

“I love your Kim Taeyeon” Kyungsoo flatly answers as he looked straight at Heechul’s eyes

Heechul raised his eyebrow at the younger boys answer. Trying to fathom the boys sincerity in his eyes

“why?” Heechul asked

Kyungsoo didn’t answer

“I know my sister is a spoiled princess, I spoiled her. And she thinks highly of herself. You know that don’t you?” Heechul added

“Yes, I know she is. She acted that way when we first met but I think that made me attracted to her”

“what do you mean?”

“Taeyeon, is a strong-willed girl. She’s confident and smart. Me, on the other hand lacks those qualities. I am a laid back person, I am shy and easily embarrassed. She fills in whatever I lack”

“and how about her being spoiled? What do you say about it?”

“I find it very cute. It makes me want to take care of her, spoil her like you do”

“aigooo, Taeng is receiving so much love” Jungwoon remarked

Kyungsoo just smiled

“so, what do you plan to do now Kyungsoo?”

Kyungsoo took a few moments to answer

“I plan to court her, if you would allow me to”

Heechul and his younger brothers all looked intensely at Kyungsoo making him gulp and nervously sweat while he sat in front of them

“oh, what’s with this atmosphere?” Taeyeon came in the living room bringing some refreshments for the boys

Kyungsoo smiled at the appearance of his angel. Heechul noticed how honestly happy the boy was upon the sight of Taeyeon, he also noticed how sincere the boy was when he was asking permission and professing his love for Taeyeon

“Heechul ah, don’t stare at Kyungsoo that way. He will melt” Sohee said as she scoot beside Heechul.

Heechul heaved out a sigh and left Kyungsoo in peace for the mean time.

They all enjoyed each other’s company that afternoon. Sohee was very happy to have finally met Heechul’s sibling because she only heard stories of them due to her very busy schedule, she was even set for a flight to China the following day for their concert. Jaejoong and Jungwoon regretted not inviting their girlfriends because they didn’t expect that their usual holiday lunch would turn into an ‘introduce-your-special-someone-lunch’

Then the time came when Kyungsoo had to leave. Taeyeon and Myungsoo sent Kyungsoo out

“hyung, you really impressed me. You didn’t show even the slightest bit of fear at Heenim. I thought no one would ever be able to face him that way” Myungsoo whispered

Kyungsoo just smiled at Myungsoo’s remark and thought ‘if only you knew how many times I died with his dagger-stabbing-glares’

“because of that hyung, I already agree on you dating my noona” Myungsoo smiled

“hey, what are you agreeing  at Myungsoo ah?” Taeyeon asked as soon as he caught up with the two boys

“nothing” the two of them denied with a big grin

“eh… suspicious…. Very suspicious” Taeyeon remarked

“oh well, I am going in first” Myungsoo said

“thanks for having me over today” Kyungsoo said with his beautiful smile plastered on his face

“the pleasure is ours and sorry my brothers are quite a handful to handle”

“so, see you at school?” Kyungsoo asked

“dae” Taeyeon nod

Kyungsoo leaned forward to kiss Taeyeon on her cheeks

“bye,” he whispered

*ding*

Kyungsoo received a text message from Taeyeon’s phone number which made him puzzled. He looked at Taeyeon who was in front of him and then opened the message

From : Kim Taeyeon

Msg:

I saw what you did there. Don’t think I agreed yet.

Meet me tomorrow at my dojo. I’ll be expecting you

Kyungsoo then glanced up and saw a glaring Heechul from the veranda
