Kyungsoo’s POV

On the way to the park Taeyeon suddenly told me that she was hungry. So, we dropped by her favorite restaurant. It was a small restaurant; it wasn’t fancy as I expected it to be, in fact, it was really rather simple inside.

She ate two servings of her favorite meal. I never knew she could eat that much taking into consideration how petite she was.

Nothing much happened in the restaurant, we were just practically talking about random things. After eating, we head out to the park where she wanted to go. She suggested that we should walk since its just near and so that we won’t have fat deposits on our belly.

I held her hand once more as we walked. She looked at me, giving me a questioning look

“you might get lost in the crowd”

I flatly answered without even daring to look back at her.

I noticed that she nodded

I just love the feeling of her hand in mine.

In the middle of our walk, we reached a crossing. The traffic light was red for the pedestrians. I noticed someone whom I met recently on the other side of the road

Shim Changmin.

We briefly made eye contact. But, he averted his eyes soon after showing a little smile plastered on his face. He showed a smile which seems to be forced yet showed that he was relieved. I don’t really know why but I also felt relieved when he smiled at me.

The light turned green.

We started walking again.

Taeyeon didn’t notice Changmin passing by her

Or did she?

I don’t know.

But, she just looked straight ahead while Changmin was staring at her with eyes of longing and loving without moving an inch from where he was standing.

I wanted to hide Taeyeon from his sight.

Well, not just from him but from everyone else that would stare at he.

Aish! Is this what they call being possessive?

“DO, is something wrong?” she called out for my attention as she stopped walking

“huh? No, there’s none. Wae?” I also stopped walking and faced her directly

“your eyes brows were furrowing awhile ago, you seem distressed while looking straight ahead. Are you feeling unwell?” she asks as she touched my check with her free hand

My heart skipped a beat at the touch of hand

“a-a-ani, I’m fine” I reassured her

“really?”

“dae”

“mmmm… okay” she remarks and starts walking again while still holding my hand. I followed behind her.

We arrived at the park and went directly to the center where there was a stage. She said her friends are known as the SNSD and will be performing for free today.

“Wow, they sure do have some funs. It’s pretty crowded” I remarked noticing how many people were anticipating them

“dae… let’s get closer to the stage, shall we?” Taeyeon said without facing me and trying to make her way through the crowd.

I don’t like crowds. I hate it to be precise. But she was holding my hand. I don’t want to let go of it. Left with no choice, I prodded behind her.

Everyone was pushing their way through and so was Taeyeon. Taeyeon, despite being small, was also having difficulty to squeeze in. And, what’s worse was that there guys who were taking advantage of the situation and made use of the chance to get a feel of women’s body.

Bastards!

I can’t allow them to do that, especially knowing that they could be doing it to Taeyeon.

Taeyeon’s POV

I feel so excited hearing my friends' voices even from afar. Well, the band that is performing now is SNSD and they are composed of my high school friends – Yuri, Yoona, SooYoung, Seohyun and Hyoyeon. I miss these girls so much.

There was a big crowd that watched them which made me unable to see their faces. I need to see them upclose

“Wow, they sure do have some funs. It’s pretty crowded” Kyungsoo said noticing the sea of people before us.

“dae… let’s get closer to the stage, shall we?” I absent mindedly answered him and started to make my way through the crowd.

Everyone was pushing. Trying to squeeze in and get closer to the stage, I joined in the pushing because I was determined to see them.

I winced in pain when someone pushed me from the side. Fortunately, DO prevented me from stumbling down.

I was still holding DO’s hand when suddenly he let go of me which made me turn around and make sure he was close to me. And yes, he was.

Not only was he standing there but he was also holding my waist

“You want to get closer right?” he asked and I nodded

“then face front and I’ll protect you” he said with a smile as he enveloped me in his embrace.

I don’t know if it was the music or if it was my heart, but I heard loud thumping sounds. With his arms around me, I didn’t felt the same amount of push as we squeezed in nearer to the stage. It was even easier to do so.

Hyoyeon noticed me and waved at me. She told the rest of the girls and they all waved at me. After one song Yuri went to our direction and approached me

“Taeng! Come on up stage and sing with us” she pleaded

“what? But I…” I hesitated and looked at DO who was still holding me. Yuri probably noticed DO’s arms around me

“ah, mianhe Taeng’s new boyfriend. But let me borrow Taeng first, okay?” Yuri spoke to Kyungsoo and pulled me up.

“good afternoon everyone! For our next song, we have a special guest. She is our close friend from high school who has a very beautiful voice” Yoona announced on the microphone

“Yuri ah, it’s so embarrassing” I complained

“it’s okay Taeng, we’re here. You are not alone. And oh, you are not denying that he is your boyfriend” Yuri said which made me blush

“a-a-a-ani… he is not my boyfriend” I denied

“aigoo… oh well, here” she handed me the microphone. Oh gosh, what the heck?

Kyungsoo’s POV

Taeyeon was pulled out by her friend.

I hate to admit it

But feeling her body close to mine awhile ago made my heart throb like hell. And now that she’s far, I’m starting to long for her.

Aish!

The guitarist started strumming and soon Taeyeon stated singing

Indeed her voice was beautiful. It was like that of an angel.

A lot of people were cheering for her when she finished singing.

“I know a lot of you wants to have her number but unfortunately she has a boyfriend right over there” the tallest band member said and pointed towards my direction

I felt that my ear heated up and I just nervously scratched the back of my neck. I looked at Taeyeon and she was blushing really hard while playfully hitting her friends who were making fun of her.

She soon said goodbye to them and made her way down the stage.

I went closer to the stage and to assist her in going down.

“Sorry for disturbing your date Taeng” the one with chubby cheeks said as soon as Taeyeon was already back in my grasp which made Taeyeon to lose her balance and clumsily fell off the stage. Good thing that I was there to catch her.

But now, I am hugging her.

She lifted her head.

Now, her face is so close to mine.

I can feel her breath

I looked straight to her eyes

And her eyes twinkled once more.

Taeyeon’s POV

His face is now inches away from mine

I stared straight to his eyes

“g-g-g-gomawo” I managed to say while still staring at his eyes

“you’re welcome” he responded

“good job taeng’s boyfriend!” Hyoyeon suddenly said.

Then I noticed that everyone’s attention was suddenly on us and they were all teasing us

Oh gosh! It’s so freaking embarrassing. I turned to them and gave them a death glare

“aish! Let’s just get out of here” I told DO and held his hand trying to drag him out

“aren’t we going to finish their concert?” he asked pulling me back

“no, it’s fine already. I’ve seen quite enough of them already” I answered and continued to pull him. He just followed me.

We finally got out of the crowd which exhausted the both of us

“Wait by the lake, I’ll go get us some drinks” he said with a smile. I just nodded.

I found myself a spot near the lake.

It’s so calm and peaceful.

I momentarily closed my eyes and laid on my back.

The grass felt so nice. And so did the wind

I noticed a shadow hovering over me. I opened my eyes and saw him

“Tired?” he asked as he went closer to me

“a bit” I said as I sat up. He handed me one can of soda

We sat quietly for a while

“you know, this lake always calms me down” he said

“it’s starting to calm me too”

“You know I first thought of you as a spoiled little princess” I chuckled at what he said

“that’s what people usually thought about me at first… and I really am one” I answered with confidence

“well, your brothers obviously spoiled you well”

“that’s right…. As for you, honestly, at first you gave me the impression of someone who doesn’t really care about the people around you” I rebutted

“well, I really am somewhat like that”

“aniya, you have a soft heart. You even care for a dog and even if you don’t want to go on dates, for Baekhyun’s sake you decided to go” I reasoned. Kyungsoo didn’t say anything

“but, you are pretty much withdrawn from other people if I may say”

“that I would agree on” he agreed

“and because of such, I sort of had the urge to make you kneel down to me” he laughed at my statement “wae?” I asked

“seriously? You thought that way?” he asked

“dae… I wanted you to recognize me… that’s what I thought”

“and now?”

“well… you did recognize my beauty awhile ago… so, I no longer feel that way anymore” I said and showed him my wide smile

“Tae…”

“dae?”

He inched closer to me

And slowly, his face draw nearer.

Oh  my gosh!

Is this it?

He bent his head and closed his eyes as he slowly closed the distance between us

But before I could close my eyes, four figures behind the shrubs caught my attention which made me push Kyungsoo

“wait!”

“ah… mian” he awkwardly answered

“no! it’s not that! My brothers, they are spying on us” I whispered

“what?” he asked and planned to look towards their direction

“no! don’t look their way” I said as I held his face

“on the count of three… we’ll run to your car, okay?” I told him

“we’re running away from them?”

“yes, we are… 1…2…3!” I announced and we both quickly got up and ran as fast as we can just to get away from my brothers without looking back for any second. Good thing I wasn’t on heels today

As soon as we arrived the parking lot, we both quickly got in his car. He started the engine and drove off

“waah, they really are something” I remarked

He just laughed

“I’m already this old yet they still spy on me”

“Just shows how important you are Tae” he said while smiling at me

“you know, you should smile always that way… you look good that way”

We both went silent afterwards

“I probably should send you home… your brothers might get worried after seeing the two of us ran that way from them” he announced

“okay”

The whole ride was filled with my chatter. Like the usual, he talks a little, but he talks.

He pulled over in front of our house and opened the door for me

“I enjoyed the date. Thanks!” I told him as he walked me to our gate

“me too” he smiled. I turned to face him

“yeah… so, see you in school?”

“yeah… Tae….”

“dae?”

“if  I’ll ask you out once more, will you still go?” he asked nervously. I smiled

“of course”

Silence

“so, I’m going in now” I bid

“wait…” he went closer to me and

*chup*

He kissed my forehead

“good night” he bid and went in his car
