Chapter 17

Reunited (A YeSung Love Story)

I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone.

Address book > Ye Sung > Call

No answer.

Retry.

No Answer.

Retry.

No answer, again.

I left a message.

“Ye Sung Oppa. I’m sorry. The suddenness of the situation shocked me. You understand, right? But, I’ve had time to think, now! This isn’t the way I want it to end. Come back. Please.”

My voice was desperate and on the edge of tears.

Was this my only hope?

I clutched my phone close to my heart.

“Please hear it, please hear it.”I mumbled under my heavy breathing.

Just then, the phone bleeped.

Text message.

From Ye Sung!!

My heart jumped and I clicked to read it.

‘Hyun Ah, It’s too late. I shouldn’t of jumped to such things like that.

If you really have changed your mind, come with me. If not, I’ll e-mail you when I get back to Korea. Bye. My plane leaves at 7pm.’

I glanced up at my clock in panic.

My eyes were glazed with tears.

5:20pm.

It was now or never.

I ran over to my wardrobe and pulled out a larger one of my many bags.

I packed as much cloths as I could before taking another bag and filling it with my other items.

Once I had me purse and phone, I felt everything else I could afford to leave behind for now.

I sprinted downstairs.

My mother was standing there, holding an envelope.

“Ye Sung wanted me to give this to you.”She said with a sad tint in her voice.

I bit my lip and took it from her.

My two large, packed bags dropped to my side.

My mother looked down at them.

It was obvious I wasn’t planning on staying here and giving up.

I slipped a piece of paper out the envelope.

It was a ticket.

A plane ticket to Korea!

At 7pm! The same as his!

“Mum!”I cried.

“Yes?”

“Please, I need to get to the airport as soon as possible!”

My mother looked at me, she was almost in tears herself.

There was an awkward silence which felt a lot longer then it was.

She looked at me.

I couldn't tell exactally what she was thinking.

But I knew deep down she was making a choice of her own.

What was she going to say next?

My breathing was so heavy, this was an emergency to me.

She could see that...

“I’ll get my keys.”
