Scenario: Chanyeol kissed Amber and now she's avoiding him. (fluff, comedy(?))

"Amber there's a spot over here!"

Amber froze in place upon hearing Chanyeol's loud, husky voice bellow through the noise of the crowded lunch room. She quickly put on a grin before turning around to face him. "Sorry, but I promised my friend that I'll eat with her today." And with that she dashed off to the opposite side of the lunch room.

"What was that just now?" Baekhyun asked, while watching Amber's back disappear into the crowd.

Don't tell me she's avoiding me now?! Chanyeol mentally panicked. Yesterday he did something without thinking to Amber:

After school they went to play a game of basketball with a few friends. Their team ended up winning, and out of pure excitement Chanyeol grabbed Amber and kissed her on the lips in front of everyone. Her face turned bright red and she ran away without saying anything.

He was well aware of his feelings toward her and thought that all those feelings finally exploded into that one moment. But too bad that one moment was the worse things he could’ve ever done.

"Oh yeah, you weren't there yesterday. Chanyeol kissed Amber," Sehun bluntly answered his question.

"It surprised all of us. Never would've thought you'd be so bold, man," Jongin added, patting Chanyeol's back in a "job well done."

"I didn't mean to! It was just in the moment, and I did it without thinking." Chanyeol held his head with his elbows propped up on the table. He was seriously regretting it. His stupid move might've just ruined their friendship forever.

"Don't worry about it so much. Amber's not the kind of person who would end a friendship by something so simple," Kyungsoo reassured him with a smile.

He nodded. Kyungsoo's right. He should have more faith in her. I'll talk to her normally!

When class ended Chanyeol headed over to Amber's desk like usual. He draped an arm around her neck, looking over her shoulder to see what she was doing. He felt her body tense up at his touch. He ignored it. "Hey, want to go over to Joonmyeon’s house today? We're going to try out a new game that just came out."

Amber shrugged his arm off her. "Sorry, I have to go straight home today. Maybe next time."

She quickly gathered her belongings and left the classroom, leaving Chanyeol dumbfounded. It was the first time she ever rejected an invite from him. He felt his eyes water a bit. He really did ruin their friendship!

“Why are you crying all of a sudden?” Baekhyun walked up to him, crossing his arms over his chest with a cocked brow.

Chanyeol rubbed his eyes to stop him from tearing up any further. “Amber’s avoiding me and I think she doesn’t want to be friends anymore.”

"Wanna try some reverse psychology, my friend?" Baekhyun offered with a sly smile.

"What do you mean?

"You be the one avoiding her. She'll think, 'Oh no, this isn't right. It wasn’t suppose to be like this,' and then she'll notice you.”

“I don’t know, I’d feel too much out of character.”

“Just try it for a day and see what happens.”

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try it, he thought.

The next day Chanyeol went through the school day as usual, but he didn’t see Amber all day except in class. At the end of the day, Chanyeol walked past Amber’s desk where she sat instead of talking to her like what he would normally do. To his surprise something grabbed his arm.

He turned his head in shock to see that Amber was the one who grabbed him. “Hey, Chanyeol, listen--,” she began.

“Ahhh, sorry, I’m kind of in a rush today,” Chanyeol lied. He avoided eye contact with her out of nervousness for lying to her. He fast walked out of the classroom and headed to the mens’ restroom to hide.

He did it; he avoided her, but why was he feeling so guilty for it? In the corner of his eye as he was walking out of the classroom he could’ve sworn he saw Amber’s disappointed expression. Could she have possibly been meaning to apologize at that moment? Baekhyun, your plan didn’t work at all!

After cooling down, Chanyeol headed over to the basketball court located at the back of the school. Everyone wanted to play another game. As he headed closer to his group of friends already on court he noticed a familiar figure standing in the middle of them. Amber!

Amber turned and saw Chanyeol making his way toward her. Her eyes widened in surprise. She caught eyes with Jongin and gave him a, I thought you told me he wasn’t going to be here, look. He nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders as if it wasn’t that big of a deal.

She fidgeted in place before deciding running off would be the best answer. Chanyeol watched her run off just like all those other times of her avoiding him. If this goes on any longer then nothing’s going to change! Chanyeol sprinted after her.

“They better make up today. I’m tired of seeing them so moody lately,” Jongin yawned.

Amber definitely picked up speed after realizing that he was chasing after her. It was not a good idea to have two athletic people who love running get into this kind of situation. After a good 20 minutes of running around the school at full speed, Amber finally began to slow down to a hault.

She rested her hands on her knees as she caught her breath. Chanyeol also stopped to catch his breath. Once they were good to go they looked up at each other. They were both exhausted and sweaty. Chanyeol cracked a smile first before bursting out in laughter. Amber soon followed after him. The two couldn’t stop laughing about what they were doing to each other.

“Hey, Chanyeol,” Amber spoke up first, “I’m sorry.” She bowed her head at a 90 degree angle.

Chanyeol frantically straightened her back, telling her that there’s no need to bow to him.

“It’s just...after you kissed me I started feeling really conscious around you and it was embarrassing. Whenever you walked into the room it looked like you shined brighter than anyone else…” Amber covered her face in embarrassment. She couldn’t believe she just admitted that to him just now.

“Wouldn’t that be called love?” He tilted his head to the side in amusement.

“W-w-what?!” She stuttered.

Chanyeol grinned widely. He held out his arms and gave her a tight hug, her face buried into his chest. “This is fine because I love you, too.” He confessed. The two stood there in silence for a moment before Amber stepped back out of the embrace.

“When you avoided me earlier I really thought you started to hate me.”

“Oh, that! Sorry about that.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Baekhyun told me that the best way to get your attention was to start avoiding you. I didn’t want to, but I just gave it a try. I promise I’ll never do something like that again.”

“Then, me too,” Amber mumbled in agreement. Chanyeol smiled. It was the best feeling that the person he’s loved for years felt the same way about him.

Chanyeol gulped at seeing how cute Amber looked all embarrassed. “So--I want to kiss you! Can I?” His boldness was definitely getting out of hand.

Amber nodded. Chanyeol leaned, placing a gentle, light kiss on her lips. They pulled back and smiled at each other. From there on out, they’ll share many more kisses together.
