Ding-dong! Ding-dong!

Kimberly knew not to open doors for strangers, especially if it wasn’t her house, and especially if every adult in the house had gone out for a movie without them. She plugged her ears, waiting for the hideous doorbell sound to stop. But the ringing continued, and finally Kimberly opened the door and yelled, “What do you want, random person?!” 

She regretted her insult the instant she saw the person who had been abusing the doorknob with his fingers for the past five minutes. Or rather, the twelve people. If it weren’t for their rainbow-coloured hair, they could have passed for local college students. Each boy was wearing a black leather jacket with ripped jeans. “Omigosh, EXO!” Kimberly squealed. She was going to die of excitement. She never thought she’d meet up with anyone from one of her favourite K-Pop groups, let alone all twelve members. 

“Ugh,” one of the EXO members, wearing eyeliner and sporting purplish hair covered by a bandanna, groaned. “We don’t need any more crazy fangirls stalking us.” Kimberly realized it was Baekhyun, who had had an unfortunate encounter with sasaengs recently at his brother’s wedding.

“Hey, relax,” a somewhat tall boy with a feminine face said. “Uh, we just need a place to hide for tonight. Our van broke down, and – “ Whoa whoa whoa. Kimberly looked around and spotted her bias Luhan, who had dyed his hair red. She and her best friend, Alyssa, fangirled about him all the time, and how cute his face was. Kimberly might as well have died that second, and her gravestone would say “Here lies Kimberly Tay; she died of fangirling overdose after encountering all twelve members of EXO at once”. Unfortunately, she couldn’t even understand what Luhan was saying because he was speaking Mandarin. Thankfully, the tallest boy, Kris, translated for him.

“We were headed for my parents’ house (Kris actually lived in Vancouver), when we realized we were being followed yet again. Then just our luck, our van broke down right in front of your house.”

“Wait, where’s your manager?” Kimberly asked.

“Oh, he took the van for repair,” Kris shrugged, like it was no big deal that their manager was missing. “So I guess we’re going to stay the night?” Gahh! A sleepover with EXO! And without parent supervision! This was going to be fun!
