At the house, Zico and I sat in the lounge, drinking some tea.

Zico  : so you're going to marry him ?

You : I don't have another option

Zico : do you love me ?

You : do you love this girl ?

Zico : the one who was with me ?

You : yeah

Zico : ~~~~, to be honest, I've never been serious with a girl. And.. I don't see her anymore

You : you dumped her ?!

Zico : she dumped me

You : wae ?

Zico : she found out about another girl

It was hard realizing that he was actually telling me this. As if he had never played with me, as if I wasn't one of the girls he tried to flirt with. At least, he was honest but this kind of sincerity could hurt. He didn't deny the fact that he had many girls at a time. That he was unable to fall in love. He told all this to a woman that couldn't take her eyes off of him, who always had him in her mind, who lived with the hope that what was happening was a nightmare. Too weak to take the reality of the case, I stared at my tea, moving my spoon inside of it as a distraction. I was interrupted by Zico placing his hand on top of mine. I glanced at him and noticed that he was staring at me. I decided to stare back.

Zico : I'm sorry to tell you this so freely ~~~~

You : it's alright. I have to take it into account anyway

Zico : take what ?

You : you're a playboy

Zico : I don't like this word

You : but that's the way it is. You play with girls

Zico : I play with girls because they can be evil as well. I've never been keen on someone... except for you

You : jinjja ?

Zico : something about you attracts me but.. I don't think I'm in love. ~~~~, I don't know what love is

You : what should we do then ?

Zico : molla..

I put my hands on my thighs, breaking our skin contact. Something in his eyes lost life. He seemed sad.

You : it'll be better if we forget about our past relationship

Zico : can't you wait for me ?

You : I don't have time Oppa. The engagement is already done, I can't go back on my words

Zico : you should marry Hyung then

You : I will...

Zico : Eomma is right.. She always told me I will be punished one day for wanting what Hyung has

You : what do you mean ?

Zico : I've always been jealous of my parents' love for him. And now he steals you from me

You : it's not his fault Oppa

Zico : see, you even defend him

You : Tae Woon is a good friend to me

Zico : nothing more ?

You : n-

I was cut off by my phone ringing. It was my mom, she was surely wondering where I was. I ordered Zico to keep quiet and picked the call up.

Ye Rin : ~~~~ ! Where are you ?

You : I'm sorry Eomma. I don't feel well so I went back home

Ye Rin : omo what's wrong ? Do you have an headache ?

You : stomachache but I took medicines already

Ye Rin : I'll be here soon sweety. Wait for me

With this she hung up. Instantly, I asked Zico to drive me home. We had to reach it before my mother.

          Luckily, we did it on time. Zico pecked my lips before leaving and I kept replaying it in my head while sitting on my bed. I touched my lips, still enjoying his taste. I had to admit that I missed his kiss, his touch but I had to forget about those because I wasn't allowed to have them anymore. From my bedroom's window I saw Tae Woon's car parking. Then, I heard someone climbing the stairs and Mom appeared at my door. I smiled to reassure her and she walked closer. She put an hand on my forehead to check whether I had fever or not.

Ye Rin : is your stomachache okay ?

You : I took medicines. Don't worry Eomma

Ye Rin : I invariably worry for my daughter~ Tae Woon too. He came with me

You : Tae Woon ?

Tae Woon : hey

He seemed quite embarrassed. He was rubbing his nape uneasily. Deep inside, I liked the looks he had. He was biting his lower lip. I mentionned him to get closer and Mom left us alone. Tae Woon sat before me on the bed.

You : thanks for worrying about me

Tae Woon : you left with Zico, right ?

You : omo !

Tae Woon : and you're feeling alright, huh ?

You : I'm so sorry Tae Woon

Apologetically, I bowed with my head touching the mattress. I did it several times while asking for forgiveness. Tae Woon held my shoulders to make me sit again. He smiled weakly.

Tae Woon : what did he do ? did he force you away ?

You : it was me..

Tae Woon : you ?

You : I promise it was the last time. From now on, I won't meet him in privacy

Tae Woon : do you love him so much ?

You : I... nae... sorry

Tae Woon : don't be sorry. I'm your friend so you should tell me everything without being sorry

You : but.. we're supposed to get married

Tae Woon : we will unless you don't want it

You : ani Tae Woon. I'll be your wife, I promise

Tae Woon : don't worry about Zico. I'm sure time will heal this wound

You : do you accept me even if my heart belongs to someone else ?

Tae Woon : this is an arranged marriaged. Love isn't required. The most important is that we get along

You : I shouldn't have fallen for Zico..

Tae Woon : don't say this. You have to cherish these memories and face the true Zico

You : if you promise to help me, I think I can do it

Tae Woon : I'm here for you

I nodded slowly and hugged him. It was nice knowing that someone will be by my side. This day made my ideas clearer. My goal wasn't to take revenge anymore but to enjoy my life. Zico would be a lovestory I had to forget about. I knew it would be difficult but he had let go of me. He wouldn't try anything to make me come back so I could concentrate on my marriage with Tae Woon. I felt thankful towards him. I didn't think I would have been so nice. He was ready to spend a lifetime with me knowing that my heart beat for his brother. I promised myself that even though I couldn't fall for him, I would try my best to make Tae Woon happy so he might be a proud husband. Near his ear, I whispered this promise and he held me tighter. I caught my mother spying on us with the widdest smile I've ever seen. It comforted me in my decision. I would be a perfect wife.
