Chapter 11
Healing His Smile
Xiumin glances over to the clock on his bedside table. It just turned eight o'clock. He sighs,
then leans back onto his bed. He grabs one of the small pillows that was laying on his bed
and holds it tight into his chest. He leans his head down onto the pillow and holds the pillow
even tighter. That evil feeling, that empty lonely feeling was slowly creeping upon Xiumin. He
could feel it, he could feel that shadow of evil slowly creeping into his heart. He hated it, he
hates that feeling so much, he just wanted to be free from this pain. This pain of knowing
he had so little time left.
There was no time for sharing any happiness with anyone, there was no time for showing
his true self, his true heart, there was no time for love.....
At least he felt that way before happiness started to creep into his heart instead

"Xiuminnie!" Luhan yells from afar, waving his little hands back and forth. Luhan watches as
a small smile crept upon Xiumin's lips. Luhan smiles back widely. That smile was one of the
best things Luhan will and does treasure deeply in his heart. He still remembers and will always
remember the first day he saw that smile. It was probably the day Luhan began to get these
tingly feelings.

Luhan found himself feeling a little bit sick, but not sick in a way you feel like throwing up,
but the kind of sick where you feel like your trying to get somewhere, but no matter how hard
you try, you get yourself absolutely no where.
There was a moment where Luhan had a sudden thought of giving up on Xiumin. Maybe he really
hates me, maybe I should just leave him alone, he thought, but with his courage, he know he just
couldn't give up on Xiumin. And even though Xiumin may never accept Luhan into his heart, Luhan
still felt he was worth it.
Luhan knows that there must of been something that has happened to Xiumin for the way he acts,
and talks towards not only just Luhan, but others to. Obviously Luhan knows that whatever has pained
Xiumin's heart, has caused Xiumin to reject people. Luhan is in no hurry to figure out his pains, but
he does want to some how heal his heart. He wants to be something to Xiumin, not just an annoying
faded memory.

-About a week ago-
Luhan quickly sat up in bed. He looks to his watch. It light 4:00 am.
He got an idea. Luhan quickly jumps out of bed and quickly runs around his small house finding a few
things and stashing it in a small bag. He grabbed his phone and dials Xiumin's number. It took about ten
tries before Xiumin even answers.
"Xiuminnie!" Luhan yells
"Ah! be quiet! Why are you calling me this early," Xiumin says sheepishly, rubbing his eyes.
"Lets go see the sun rise!" Luhan whispers happily.
Xiumin's eyes widen, not a bad idea, he thinks. "Well...I guess," Xiumin says softly.
"Really! You really want to go," Luhan says surprised.
Xiumin nods to himself, "Yeah, seems...nice," he says softly.
"Okay, I'll meet you at your house in about fifth teen minuets," Luhan quickly says, then hangs up.
Luhan quickly places his phone back into his pocket, then grabs the small bag and runs out the front
door. He smiles to himself as he jogs across lawns and around corners. He's never felt this way, he's
never felt like he's wanted something so much. He's never felt this excited about anyone before, about
helping someone out. But not only that, he's never felt his heart skip a beat, just over the fact of getting
to see someone. He never felt so passionate. He was so distracted by the fact of meeting with Xiumin
that he didn't even realize it was still a bit dark.

Luhan ran up to Xiumin's door and knocks. After seconds Xiumin opens the door. Xiumin was taken back
by the way Luhan smiled at him. Xiumin looks down and see's that Luhan was carrying a small bag, that
looks a bit heavy, at least for him.
The next thing Xiumin knew was that he offered to carry the bag. Luhan looks to Xiumin surprised, but he
took the offer. Luhan gave Xiumin a quick smile, then hands over the bag.
Xiumin takes the bag and places it over his shoulders. It actually wasn't heavy at all. Must of been mistaken,
Xiumin thinks.
"Its just a few snacks, and stuff," Luhan explains.
Xiumin slowly nods, then gestures Luhan ahead, "lead the way," Xiumin says softly. Luhan looks over to
Xiumin and nods.
They both walk slowly side by side. Luhan still couldn't believe that Xiumin agreed to wake up this early
just to see the sun rise. He was happy that he was able to spend time with Xiumin.
Xiumin looks over to the smiling Luhan and for some reason, he didn't feel uncomfortable, he felt a little
warm inside. He still resented the fact that he was doing this with Luhan, but he really wanted to see the
sun rise, but it did make him a bit more comfortable having Luhan with him.
"You....might regret this," Xiumin says softly.
Luhan looks over with a strait face, "I wont regret anything with you. I promise!" Luhan says, his smile
appearing again.
Xiumin was sort of taken back, but hearing that made his heart skip a beat or two.

Finally they came up to a dock, that sat over the small lake near the park. It was the perfect place to
watch the sun rise. Luhan giggles, then quickly runs over to the dock and sits down.
"This is perfect," Luhan says patting next to him, gesturing for Xiumin to sit.
Xiumin nods, then slowly walks over next to Luhan and sits down. Luhan looks over to Xiumin and
smiles, like he usually did. Xiumin looks over to Luhan. Both of them starring at each other for a
few seconds until Luhan quickly turned away.
That glance, that happily....sorta cute glance, it finally caught me....
Xiumin couldn't help himself. Its like something in his brain clicked. He's the one who wants to get
close with me, why can't I just accept it? Xiumin thought. It really hurts.....
Luhan turns away embarrassed. What was that? Luhan thinks to himself. Did..he...
~
A few silent minuets went by, then suddenly a small bit of light, came up over the horizon. Luhan jumps
up throwing his fist in the air, "Yahoo!" he yells happily.
Xiumin looks out into the distance, he watches as the sun slowly creeps its way over the horizon. Then
he takes a glance over to Luhan, and suddenly feels a smile creeping upon his face. What is this
feeling? he thinks.
Luhan glances down to Xiumin, then back to the sun, but suddenly freezes. He quickly looks back to Xiumin
with widen eyes. Luhan yells for joy, "Xiuminnie! You smiled! You finally smiled!" he says looking at
Xiumin happily.
I smiled? Did I really smile?

How could anyone forget that day? Luhan could never forget that oh so wonderful day. The day that
Xiumin finally accepted Luhan.
