Chapter 2

He's There

After my shift at the restaurant, I decided to head over to the bookstore before I went home. I walked into the door, the bells rang as I opened it. I slowly entered the half empty book store. There were piles of book shelves, and so many large text books and novels resting on them. Some of them were collecting dust, like they were never taken off the shelves. I grabbed the Help Wanted sign from the window and went to the counter. I placed it on top and looked for the cashier. The cashier suddenly appeared from below the counter. I jumped up in surprise. "Ahh you scared me." I said, placing my hand on my chest. He laughed at me and took off his had. O_O Kim Junsu?! "What the ?!" I screamed and stepped back. "Ah shoot. Sorry. First time to see me?" he asked, coming around the counter and approaching me slowly. "No, no. Go back to your counter area.." I said, shooing him away. He laughed and walked back behind the counter and took the Help Wanted sign and put it underneath. "Your here for the job?" he asked. I nodded slowly and walked closer to him. "Yeah.. I, yeah I guess I am." I said, placing my arms on the counter. He smiled. "We do need some help organizing the books." he said. "Isn't that for a library?" I asked. "Well let's just say some people here don't come to actually buy the books. Some just read." he said, glancing at the circle of people sitting next to a tall book shelf. I nodded and looked back at him. "Do I need to have experience or something?" I asked. He laughed and shook his head. "You don't need experience to organize books. But, you do know you'r ABC's right?" he asked, smirking. I chuckled lightly and nodded. "Alright then, the jobs yours." he said, handing me a uniform. "We need uniforms?" I asked, taking the collared shirt. It had the logo of the book store on the top right side. "Just the shirt. But you can wear anything underneath." he said. "I still can't believe you're working in a book store." I muttered, unfolding the shirt and putting it on over my white t-shirt. "Just a part-time job. I don't get as much money as you think." he said, organizing the money in the cash register. "Really?" I asked, smoothening out my uniform shirt. He nodded. "The other 2PM's members get more money actually. This is just a hobby. I love working here. And everyone is used to me being here actually. It's a small town, away from all the business. So not a lot of people see me." he explained further. I nodded slowly and looked around the book store. "Does my shift start now?" I asked. He nodded. "You're shift ends at 7:30." he said. I blinked. "That short?" I asked. He nodded. "It's a small bookstore, and we close at 8." he mentioned. "Ohh I see." I reacted and breathed out. "You can start by dusting off some of those old books up there." he said, pointing to the highest shelf. I looked at his direction and nodded. "The step ladder is next to the shelf." he said. I walked towards it and grabbed the step ladder. I climbed up and grabbed some of the dusty text books. But I felt the steps being folded up, my foot was slipping. Ah please don't let me fa--

Junho's P.O.V.

Where in the hell is hyung?! I ran into the bookstore, thank God only a few people were here. I saw Junsu at the counter. "Hyung! What are you doing here?! It's karaoke night!" I said at him harshly. He rolled his eyes at me. "Can I at least get a break from all this fandom? You came in here yesterday looking like you've been in a glacier. Covered in that long jacket and wearing shades when it isn't even sunny out." he snapped at me. I scoffed. "C'mon! 2PM is waiting for you!" I told him again, hitting the counter. "AHH!!!" I heard a scream. I turned around and saw a girl falling from a high step ladder. I ran towards her and let her fall in my arms. "Are you okay??" I asked her, taking off my sunglasses. She blinked a few times and clutched her chest like she was having a heart attack. "Why are they're so many idols in a book store?" was the only thing that uttered from her lips. I smiled at this perfect stranger. She was pretty, almost made me jump and made me want her really badly. Her hair was messed up, the bangs from her pony tail falling out and her cheeks were flushed. Her lips were a light pink and they seemed so soft. Her skin was smooth and white, and her body was so delicate. It made me want to hold on to her forever. I felt her body tense up, and I saw goosebumps form at her arms, then at the sides of her neck. I smirked and lifted her up to let her stand steadily. "You should be more careful." I told her softly. She laughed nervously and moved her hair out of her face. "Actually I don't know why I just fell." she said, putting her hands into her pockets. "I think I know why.." I said. She blinked. "Really?" "Yeah you're ladder wasn't sturdy enough." I told her, walking to the ladder and folding it back up from the floor. I heard her sigh. I smirked up inside, were you falling for me?
