He was unknowingly humming along. 
It was an instrumental piece.. using saxaphone. 
A magnificant and absolutely romantic piece of instrument.

He was all dressed up to fit the theme of Christmas. 
Well.. none other than Red and Green. 

He chuckled slightly at the thought of looking like an elf. 
And was hoping that his hosts, Infinite, don’t realise it was the outfit he took for his new EXO album. 

It was just a room, and green tinsel were hung, followed by red tinsel. 
Pretty sparkling baubes are hung along. 

Some Christmas wreath are hung, 
Along with A huge Christmas tree. 
Nothing fanciful, but with the shining Christmas lights, and the big bright star on the top. 
It screams nothing but, ” CHRISTMAS IS HERE! “ 

He felt a little lost. 
He was about to head to the tables for some punch. 

" MINSEOK! " 
He recognised that voice. DongWoo. 

After all the routinal greetings of bumping chest, slapping hands. 
And with DongWoo’s adorable and infectious laughter.

"I thought you wouldn’t make it!" 
DongWoo beamed. 

" Well I am here.. " MinSeok placed his finger on the collar

DongWoo chuckled. 
His face suddenly changed serious as if he had suddenly recalled something! 

" Hey.. I wanna show you someone" 

He dragged MinSeok through the crowd. 
Until he reached a girl.. 

That girl seems familiar. 

DongWoo called her and she turned around. 

Her face lit up when she saw DongWoo. 

And when she shifted her gaze to MinSeok. 

MinSeok did an exclaim.

"Gyuri? Gyuri right?" 

"Min Seok? " 

Whoa… 
He didn’t except he’ll meet her here. 
She’s beautiful. 
But she’s a friend. 
He knows.. 

DongWoo grinned. 
He knew he had something good for his good pal. 
He ought to leave those two alone. 
” Well.. I’ll let you two catch up.. I can hear SungGyu hyung calling.” he gave another infectious and adorable laugh before disappearing into the crowds.

"What a small world… " MinSeok started. 

She nodded as she sipped her punch. 

" Well.. for you, your world is so big now, " She jokingly nudged him. 
” You’re in some big shot group eh? “ 

MinSeok blushed a little, ” We’re still new and all.. “ 

She laughed. 
Ever so perfectly. 

There she stood beside, as lovely as a goddess. 
Even after six or seven years, she was still beautiful. 
She still makes his heart jumpy.. 

She was the reason for all those silly times he lay on the bed chuckling to himself.
She was the reason for every beautiful moment in High School.

But she’s just a friend. He knows.

He lost the chance to some dude. 
He never did confessed his feelings for her.
 

She seemed to have sensed the silence.
 

"So..How are you?  Are you dating currently?" she grinned. 
MinSeok face changed. 
She hurriedly waved her hands,
“I don’t mean to pry.. Or..  tell the media.. I just wanna start a conversation. If its..uncomfortable.. - “

"No." he cut in. 

" You?" he tried to ask as calmly as he could. He took a sip of his drink.
He needs to be ready for what she has to say. 

MinSeok, don't expect. 
Expectations leads to disappointments. 

 

"No." her sweet voice rang in his head.

He almost choked. It wasn’t on purpose, but how can a beautiful girl not have a boyfriend?
 

"Why?" he hurriedly added, " I mean… Why are you.. urms.. what I’m trying to say is you’re beautiful and there ought to be a guy, or.. well a whole bunch of guys after you.."

She giggled. 
She chewed her lips, “We broke up barely lasting a year, he cheated. My feelings faded.. " 
She grew silent. 
She added softly, " I haven’t found anyone yet. “

He solemnly drank his punch. What should he say now?!?
Think MinSeok Think. 
You need to be neutral on this. 
You can't show that you're happy.. 
When you truly are.. 
I mean, seriously, you'll have a chance to let her be your girl! 
 

"Actually, I’m waiting for someone. " she added, softly.
 

His heart sank. 
Damn. 
He wouldn’t have a chance anymore. 
He has lost the chance even before he has one.

He kept silent.
What can he say, really?

She turned to look at him.

"MinSeok. "

He hummed softly.

"Why aren’t you..asking me who is it? Aren’t you curious? "

He forced a smile before looking at her, “As long it is someone who loves you, that’s all it matters right? ”


 

He remembered that s had a talk before as they share their experiences in love. 
Baekhyun shared about his unsuccessful love confession, he thought that it was because he wasn’t attractive.

Is he attractive to Gyuri?

While Chen shared that, even if one confess his feelings, the success rate is not high. Even if he is expressive, the other party does not get it completely..

He was getting nervous.

"Urms..well.. I guess when you’re beside her..I mean your crush..you start to feel nervous and more self-concious of the w-way you look, " he nervously made his hair, hoping to look casual. 
“And.. You think about her .. I mean your crush all the time. ”
 

She giggled.

"Thankyou MinSeok. " she smiled, looking into his eyes.

He swear, he didn’t breathe at all.
 

She chewed her lips, “I have been wanting to tell you something… ” 
She looks nervous.
And wayy too serious. 
 

"I know that you’re really famous now, and what I am about to say may seem superficial. 
But.. I still want to say it. I think.. "she looks away, "I don’t want to lose another chance to tell you. "
 

His breath quicken. No way.. 
Wait!! wait!!
Don’t say it! 
If you are a man, you must make the move.

"Gyuri wait,  " 
He put out his hand.

" Before you say anything, I want to tell you something first.. " 

It’s now or never MinSeok. 
You’re not going to lose another chance! The least, At the very least, she must know..

"I.. Like you. " he mumbled.

"Sorry?"

He looked into her eyes, Be a Man, Be a Man.
 

"I like you, Gyuri. I've liked you since high school. All the times we've been together, all the times we've laughed and cried. I love all of them. I have never met a more perfect girl than you. I honestly like you a lot.. " he chewed his lips. 
The party has suddenly gotten a whole lot warmer.

"But..he made a move first. I didn't get a chance to tell you.. " he lowered his head.

"Even if you don't accept my feelings, it is completely fine. " he looked with a forced smile.

"I just think I should tell you before I lose a chance. At least, you should know that you're beautiful and never look down on yourself, because .. I lo-like you. "

Is his face red? DAMN. 

He can't raise his head. What is this? 
Embarrassment? no.. 
Shyness? no.. 
Damn.. he was worried how she'll look at him now .. 


She was silent. 
That's the worst, you never know what's she thinking. 

Then.. 

She cautiously, wrapped her arms around him. 

" I.. like you too, silly. " 
She giggled. 


MinSeok.. was jumping. 
No.. he was screaming. 
Maybe he is screaming and jumping. 


He hugged her tighter. 

Maybe, maybe the chance that this Christmas party has given him, was one of the best chance he has ever taken it up courageously. 

"I love you, " may be three easy words. 
Without the given chance, they are just three words. 

" Gyuri, I love you. " 
MinSeok whispered to her as he held her hand.
