The next morning, I went to Catherine’s room and woke her up for breakfast, “Catherine” I shook her shoulder

She moaned, “Not now, mom” she covered herself with her sheets

I laughed, “Hey, Catherine, let’s go get breakfast”

Her eyes shot open and sat up, “I’m awake!”

I giggled, “Come on” I pulled her down stairs and headed to the dining table

“Where do you want to go?” I asked

She shrugged, “Somewhere . . . fun?”

I pursed my lips, thinking of a perfect place to take her. Then, I smiled at my idea, “Namsan Tower”

I wore my coat and so did Catherine and we headed to Minho’s house to pick him and Eric up. On our way there, Catherine and I had a little girl to girl talk.

“Max . . . I have to tell you . . . though . . .I’m still not sure about it . . . “

I nodded, “What is it?”

She breathed in, biting her lip and she looked up at me, “I . . . I . . . “she trailed off

“Hey, tell me” I insisted

She bit her lip again and closed her eyes, “I think I’m pregnant” she spoke

My eyes widened, “You’re what?!” I inched closer

“I think I’m pregnant” she spoke again

I closed my eyes and breathed in. Oh my God! I can’t believe this. My friend is pregnant! I don’t know what to say to her, I mean, I’ve never had a friend get pregnant before. I looked at her and she looked up at me, hoping for an answer.

“Does . . . Eric know?” I asked, rubbing her shoulder

She shrugged, “I don’t know if he’d be happy about this” she spoke weakly

“I think he will be” I hope

She shook her head, “He doesn’t even like kids”

“For now, but I’m sure he’d be liking the baby as soon as he finds out” I reasoned out

“He won’t. He’d be disappointed with me” she spoke

I raised a brow, “Why would he be? You didn’t do this alone! He was part of making the baby!” I defended

She sighed, “I just . . . I don’t know”

“You have to tell him”

“I can’t” she sobbed

“He’s the father” I spoke

“I know . . . and knowing Eric . . .” she trailed off

I sighed, “I’ll help you”

The gang and I headed to Namsan Tower after picking up the boys from Minho’s house. The car was silent and filled with tension, clearing of throats here and there or uncomfortable moving from time to time. I was getting myself prepped up with the ‘talk’ that would happen later. I’m breathing in and breathing out, hoping to calm myself before I explode. I now Catherine is more nervous than I am but too me, I’m more nervous than she is. When we arrived, we got tickets and entered the tower.

“Catherine James, are you alright?” Eric asked her, kissing her knuckles that made me think of Kyuhyun in an instant

She smiled weakly, “Yeah . . . “

“Baby, you look pale” Eric noticed

“I’m just a little dizzy” she started, “This is a really tall tower” she smiled

“Water?” he offered

She shook her head, “No thanks”

“Catherine, are you hungry?” Minho asked

“No” but was watering

I looked at Eric who was looking at me, “Minho, I think Catherine wants a little time alone with Eric” I spoke, pulling Minho’s wrist

Catherine pulled on my coat, “Don’t go”

I let go of Minho’s wrist and stayed in my place. Eric looked at me, “Is there something you’re not telling me?” he asked

My eyes widened, “What?”

“Eric” Catherine called

He turned to him, “What?”

“I .  .  .” she trailed off

“What?” he asked again

“I’m pregnant” she spoke

Eric’s face was unreadable. He looked down at her and breathed in sharply, taking in the news he just received. He looked down at his girlfriend and he in another sharp breath.

“Eric . . . say something” Catherine pulled on his coat

“How long?” he asked

“Three weeks” she said quietly

He smiled down at her, “Girl or boy?”

Catherine was shocked and so was I, “You’re not mad?” she asked

He shook his head, “No! Why would I be?” he began, “You’re giving me a family and I’m happy for us” he spoke

“Oh God!!! I thought you’d be mad at me!” she heaved a sigh and she attacked him with a tight hug

I smiled and pulled on Minho’s wrist, “I think we should give them . . . space”I spoke to Minho

He blinked a few more times, “She . . . She’s pregnant?”

I laughed, “Let’s go” I pulled on his wrist

From the moment Eric found out that Catherine was pregnant, he was more than over protective about her. He would constantly look up online what courses would keep the baby healthy, give the baby stronger bones, give the baby a sharper memory and a healthy heart. Catherine smiled at the unexpected actions of his boyfriend and she would smile unconsciously at him and he would smile back. I, too, did not expect Eric’s reaction because he has mentioned to us that he was not planning to have kids and I didn’t know what made him change his mind but we were glad that he did.

After going shopping for baby stuff, Catherine and Eric planned to stay at Minho’s house since, Minho was basically the only one living there. I was sitting on my bed, looking for a nice place to buy gifts and new clothes for the holidays. I drank my coffee and as if on cue, there was that familiar knock on my door.

“Hey” he smiled

“Hi”

“What are you doing?” he asked, closing my window

“Scouting” I said

He placed himself beside me, kissing my bare shoulder, “Scouting? For what?”

“A great place to go shopping for gifts and new clothes” I spoke

He nodded, “Hey”

“Hmm?”I took my eyes off the screen

“I have to ask you something . . . “

“What?”

“Can you come with me . . . ?"

“Where?”

“To the park”

My eyes widened, “Now? It’s like so cold outside” I pointed at the window

He sighed, “Please?”

My shoulders dropped and looked at him, “Twenty minutes” I spoke and took my coat from my chair and wore it

We stopped by a large tree that was covered with snow and Kyuhyun looked at me with a smile plastered on his face. I raised my brow and he opened his door to open mine. I stepped out and we walked towards the tree. We stopped walking and placed ourselves under the tree.

Kyuhyun looked up, “You know . . . when you were gone, I would always come here . . . “

“Why?”

“This tree gave me this pull the first time I saw it, the same pull I felt when I saw you” he spoke

I blushed, “Okay . . .” I smiled

He looked down at me and placed a kiss on my lips before moving behind me. He placed my hair on my left shoulder and his hot breath against my neck was comforting. His arms went over my head and I saw a necklace shaped like a snow flake dangling in front of me. I bit my lip at his action. I never realized how sweet Kyuhyun could be. He locked the necklace around my neck and he went in front of me.

“Kyu . . . “ I smiled up at him

He kissed my forehead, “I love you so much”

“I love you too”

I opened my room and found Kyuhyun sitting on my bed. I smiled and approached him, wrapping my arms around his neck from behind him. I hear him smile and his hand touched mine.

“Hello” he spoke

I kissed his cheek, “Hi”

“Hello” he greeted again

I laughed, “Hi”

He turned and faced me, “I love you” he smiled

I smiled at him, leaning my face and touching the tips of our noses, “I love you too”

He cupped my face in his hands, leaning his face close to mine. He looked at me, deep in my eyes and he planted a soft kiss on my lips. A sweet and love-filled kiss that made my heart skip a beat. I smiled and breathed through my nose, wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him close.

“Thank you” I whispered

“Anything for you” he whispered back 

We laid on my bed, our own breathing served as music to us. No one was speaking. We were taking advantage of the moment we were together right now. This was what we needed. 

"Catherine's pregnant" I spoke 

He looked down at me with shock, "Really?!" 

I nodded

He looked up at the ceiling, "Wow! Congratulate her for me" he began, "What would you look like if you found out you were pregnant?" he asked

I raised a brow, "Just a reminder, I'm sixteen"I playfully slapped his arm 

"I'm not saying now . . . I mean, in the future" he spoke 

I shrugged, "I don't know . . .I'm not really into kids" 

"What?" 

"I'm not good with kids" I spoke 

"I'm sure you will be . . . how about . . . three kids?" he asked 

"No" 

"Two?" 

"No" 

"One?"

"No" 

"How come you're not into kids? I thought women are into that I-want-to-make-a-family thing?" 

"Well, I'm not. Like I said, I'm sixteen" I reminded 

"I hope you change your mind soon" he spoke 

I looked up at him, "Why?" 

He didn't respond and he closed his eyes. I tapped his chest and shook him, waking him up but he didn't open his eyes. There was a feeling that ran through my veins. A feeling that told me that I needed to know more about what he said. I'm not stupid but I just want to make sure. I didn't want to assume . . . would he want to have kids with me? The thought lingered through my head and I propped myself with my elbow, looking down at Kyuhyun. I used my pointing finger to trace his features. Nose, lips and eyelids. If Kyuhyun and I had kids, what would they look like?Would they look like me or Kyuhyun? Would they smile like Kyuhyun? I smiled at the thought of making a family with him . . . still, I wasn't sure about what he was trying to say.
