I didn’t sleep last night. Literally, I couldn’t. Minho and Mr. Cho flooded my mind and how they had that heated gaze on each other. And now, here I am, looking like a zombie as I walk to the breakfast hall.  I see the hall already filled up with students and as always, they’re busy with their own business. I see the table for eight. Min Hee, Kim, Key, Taemin, Jonghyun and Onew were already seated and the only people who were missing were me and Minho. I walk closer to the table and they stop their conversation and look at me with frightened eyes.

“You look like ” Min Hee says

I took the vacant seat beside her, “This is Minho’s fault” I point out. I open my mouth and I wanted to ask them where he was but I quickly shut it.

“He’s still in his room” Key says, ad if reading my mind

“I don’t care” I say and stand to get tea

I was lined up and my eyes quickly find Mr. Cho sitting in along with the other teachers. His side profile was really good, sharp nose and plump lips suit him. He laughs as a teacher makes a joke and he glances to his side, finding me looking and observing him. I quickly look away and take the pot of tea and pour some in my cup. I quickly sit back at the table.   

As I come back, I sit and they start talking about the activities for the day, “So, Mr. Choi said we’re going to some park here in Japan” Kim starts saying as she scans the pamphlet given to us

“Which park?” Minho suddenly sits beside me and I continue to ignore him. The table quiets down and Minho looks at me as I drink my tea

“Min Ri” he takes a hold of my hand

“What?” I say with gritted teeth

“Let’s talk, please” he begs

I look at him in the eyes and touch his hand, “No!” I quickly say and then I stand to leave the table

I walk back to the room and take the elevator. As I wait, I see a tall figure appear through my peripherals, “Minho! Will you please just stay away from me?” I say without looking at him and he walks closer to me.

“Please, let me explain”

“That girl clinging onto you is enough explanation” I say

He holds my wrist, “Really? Then what does that tell you?!” he raises his voice

“YOU’RE A BIG FLIRT!” I say and the elevator doors open and I ride in with Minho following me

“Min Ri, I was not flirting! She was asking me to take photos for her editor’s note for the school magazine” he explained

“Does she really need to cling onto you? What, is that the new way of saying thank you?” I shook my head

“She was just happy that I agreed to do it” he added

I turn and look at him, “So, if I cling onto Mr. Cho because he agreed to do something for me and I was sooooooooo happy, you’d be okay with that?” I ask

He looks down out me with his nose flaring up and he doesn’t respond, “Thought so” I say

The elevator car stops and we get out, since he’s in the same floor with me and his room was in front of mine, I had no other choice but to share the hallway with him. I open the door to my room and he opens his.  I enter the room and take a nice long shower then, get ready for the day.

Packing my notebook, pen, iPod, sketch pad, camera and phone in my bag, I hear the door knob twist, revealing my roommate.

“Hey!” she greets with that smile

“Hey” I smile at her and I suddenly remember what Kim told me yesterday, “Min Ra?” I call her as she sits on her bed

“Yes?” she looks at me

“You’re single, right?” I ask

“Yeah . . . Why?”

“You want to go on a date with someone?” I ask

She bites her bottom lip, thinking, “Yeah. Who?”

“A friend of mine, he’s been eyeing you and I thought, why not set you guys up for a date” I smile

“Senior?” she asks

“Senior” I agree

“Okay.” She flashes me a smile

Min Ra and I head down to the lobby and we saw the students filed and the supervising teachers already checking the attendance. I go to my place, right next to Minho and he doesn’t look at me. I don’t look at him either.

“Is Ms. Lee here?” Mr. Cho asks

“Here!” I raise my hand and checked my name off the list

 We head to our buses with our respective sections and head to the park. Minho and I sit in complete silence all throughout the thirty minute drive. When we arrive at the park, we were instructed to take picture of the Cherry Blossoms. I walked solo right after jumping off the bus. I took out my camera and started snapping pictures. The leaves were green and the Cherry Blossoms were vibrant in its pink colour. I walk on the cemented path way and I see a family of three walking by, a father, mother and their daughter walking hand in hand. I smiled and took a photo of them.

As I walk further, I see a group of students and I see Minho snapping photos of the girl who clung onto him yesterday. She was posing in the ‘cutest’ way she could as Minho snapped photos of her. I felt a hand on my shoulder

“Hey, I’ve been looking everywhere for you” Min Hee says

“Who the hell is that girl?!” I asked though gritted teeth

She looks over and turns to me, “That’s Choi Ae Cha. I hear her father owns a airline and I also heard that she has this big crush on your boyfriend” she spoke

“Is she really the editor the school magazine?” I ask

“Yup. Do you remember Taemin joining the school magazine as a photographer?”  she asked

I nod

“Well, Teamin wasn’t really that good but he got in because Ae Cha had a crush on him, but I guess she has someone new in mind” she looks at Minho

I left her standing and walked closer to Minho. He looked at me and wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. Jumping on him, I kiss him hard and bite his lip and when he opens his mouth, I slide my tongue in and every corner of his mouth, exploring all the possible corners. His fingers find my hair and he tugs on my hair. I pull away and stand on my feet. I turn to Ae Cha and she had shocked look.

“Back off. He’s mine” I say

She walks away with a death gaze. I turn my attention to Minho who was still shocked with my sudden attack.

“Are we good?” he asks

“No. Stay away from that girl” I say

I turn my back on him and bumped into someone’s hard chest. I look up and I see Mr. Lee Donghae. He looks down at me, “Ms. Lee, we warned you about PDAs. Please come with me” he says and takes the lead and I follow him.

He takes me to a shaded area and he makes me sit on the bench, “Stay here. You should be thankful I didn’t take you back to the hotel. Next time I see you do that in public, you’ll be flying back to Korea” he says

I bow, “I’m sorry, sir”

“Kids” he says and walks away

I sit on the bench and pug in my earphones. I think I deserve this as a punishment. At least I wouldn’t have to be walking around. I look up at the sky and close my eyes. Fourteen days to go and I’d be leaving this beautiful city. I sit on the grass and rest my head against the trunk of the tree. I pull my knees up and tap my feet, following the beat of the music. Students were constantly looking at me and they would whisper.

Ae Cha suddenly, approaches me and crosses her arms over her chest and looks down at me. I smile up at her and my reaction annoys her.

“What. A. Shame.” She looks at me, disgusted

“Are you referring to me or are you referring to yourself?”I asked with a smile

“Are you mocking me?!” she asked, flaring up

“No. Actually, I’m admiring your confidence. I can’t believe you’d be flirting with someone who’s in a relationship and who’s about to get married” I say

“That can change. I bet Minho isn’t really sure about you” she eyes me

I let out a laugh, “You think he’ll consider you? I know Minho, he won’t consider someone as cheap as you” I say and sit back down, plugging my earphones. I knew she was saying something, but who the cares? I know I don’t.

When she finally walks away, I take my phone out and start texting. Min Hee was the first one in my contacts so, I texted her. 

“Hey” I sent her a text

“Where the hell are you?!”

“Sitting under the tree. I was punished by Donghae” I text back

It takes her a few minutes to reply, “What the hell did you do?”

“I kissed Minho in public so, he punished me and made me sit somewhere”

“Wow! You need anything?”

“Yes”

“What?”

“I need you to kill that girl >__<”

“HAHA! With pleasure!”

I didn’t reply back and resumed listening to music. I rest my head against the trunk and I felt my eye lids getting heavy. I repositioned myself and slept.

I felt a drop of water hit my nose three or four times before I finally opened my eyes. Seeing the clouds, it started raining. I quickly gather my thing and stand up.

“Ms. Lee” Mr. Cho was holding an umbrella over us

“Mr. Cho”

“Let’s go? We will resume the tour tomorrow” he says and places his arm over my shoulder, guiding me under the rain.

“How did you find me?” I ask

“Donghae told me where you were”

“Oh”

“What did you do?” he was referring to my offense

“I . . . kissed Minho in public”

He stopped walking and so did I. He looked at me with eyes filled with anger and his nose was flaring up. He blinked a few times and breathed in sharply, “You two can’t keep your hands off of each other, can you?”

I remained quiet but then I felt the need to answer, “I was jealous” I admitted

“With who?” he asks

“With this girl who was flirting with Minho”

“Don’t you trust him?” he asks

I look up at him and he looks down at me, his face was close to mine and our noses nearly touched. His eyes were locked with mine and our breaths collided. Time stops and I study his face that was perfectly made. I blink a few times, realizing that this was not a dream. His nose was sharp, his eyes were deep black and his lips were plump and pink. I look to my side and I see Minho holding an umbrella and his eyes watching us as we had that moment. His eyes bore hurt and disappointment as he looked at us. I looked at his figure and the rain starts pouring harder than before.  I bite my bottom lip and hope he’s not mad. Well, at least now he knows how it feels. I ride the bus and the students were already there.

“Thank you” I bow at Mr. Cho before taking my seat

“You’re welcome” he smile and takes his clip board

Minho rides the bus with his whole body soaked from the rain. His eyes told me that he was angry and he took his usual seat next to me. I didn’t bother to look at him instead I focused my attention to Mr. Cho who was calling out names for the attendance.

“Mr. Choi and Ms. Lee?” he calls and looks at me

“Here!” I say

I turn my attention to Minho and his eyes were stuck on the seat in front of him, “Why are you wet?” I asked

“I was about to fetch you and you know what I found?” he turned his attention to me

“Minho, you know he was helping me” I defended

“He could have just assisted you to the bus WITHOUT placing his arm over your shoulder!” he raised his voice, “And what the hell was that, Min Ri, your faces were so close!” he added

“Minho . . . “I whispered

“Did you accept that offer to get even with me?”

“No” I quickly say

“This is the last time I’d be seeing you with him” he says and he takes out his iPod and pugs in his earphones

There was nothing else I could do but to sit back and look out the window and turn my attention to the rain that was pouring harder and harder as time passed.
