The next morning was a great one. I went down stairs to get breakfast and there, I saw Catherine and Eric sitting with my father and mother.

“Max!!!” Catherine ran towards me and hugged me

“Catherine!” I hugged her back, “Oh my God! What are you doing here?” I asked

“Well, Eric and I decided to spend the holidays with you and Elliot” she smiled

“God! I’m so happy you’re here!” I hugged her one more then I turned my attention to Eric, “Hey, Eric” I smiled

“Max” he smiled

“Catherine, Eric, these are my parents” I introduced, “Omma, Appa, this is Catherine and Eric”

My mom smiled, “Nice to meet you, honey” she spoke with her fine English

Catherine smiled, “Nice to meet you too”

Eric shook my father’s hand, “Nice to meet you, sir” Eric spoke

My father smiled, “Pleasure” he spoke in his perfect English as well

I smiled at them, “So, what do you guys want to do?” I asked them

Catherine looked at me, “Shopping?”she smiled

I heard Eric sigh, “Where does Elliot live?” he asked me

I laughed, “Give me time to prepare and I’ll get you to his house” I smiled

Catherine and I walked up to my room. I walked inside with Catherine trailing behind me and she gasped at my room, “God! This is so cool!” she spoke

I laughed a little, “It’s . . . not much”

She looked at me, “Not much? Are you joking?!” she peeked through my walk-in closet, “You have a walk-in closet?!” she asked

I nodded, “Yes”

“Your room is so cool”

“Thanks”

She walked by my drawers, looking at the photos that were displayed on my table. Then, she took a frame in her hands and looked at me, “I knew it”

I walked closer to her, “That was a long time ago . . .”

“How long?”

“Six months?” I spoke

“Six months?! That fast?”

I shrugged, “Someone came into my life” I smiled

There was a sudden knock on my window. My head looked at my window and I looked at Catherine, “Who the hell is that?” she asked

I smiled and I walked towards the window, “Hi” I greeted

He entered my room, “Hey, I was a--- . . . oh . . .”he smiled at Catherine

“Kyuhyun, this is Catherine. She’s one of the very few friends I made during my stay in Washington” I smiled

Catherine was blushing, “Nice to meet you”

“Nice to meet you too, I’m Marcus” Kyuhuyn spoke in his perfectly y English

I looked up at him, “You speak English?” I asked

He shrugged, “Quick tutorials”

Kyuhyun and Catherine shook hands, “Max, who is he?” she asked

“He’s . . . my boyfriend” I smiled

Her eyes widened, “Hot” she smiled

“Thank you” Kyuhyun smiled at her and she blushed again

I looked at Catherine, “Mine” I warned

She put her palms up, “That was a mere compliment”

Kyuhyun turned to me, “So . . . let’s visit my parents?” he smiled down at me

I looked at Catherine, “I can’t . . . Catherine and Eric’s here so . . . I have to . . . you know” I smiled

He raised a brow, “Eric? Who’s he?”

I smiled at his cute reaction, “Catherine’s boyfriend” I answered

He heaved a sigh of relief, “Oh . . . good. Dinner then?” he smiled

I nodded, “Yup”

He nodded, “See you later”

I smiled and he planted a kiss on my forehead, “I love you” I spoke

“I love you too” then he walked towards my window and he went down

Catherine pulled on my tank top, “That was  . . . hot. That was a Twilight, Edward and Bella scene!” she smiled at me

I blushed, “I know, right?”

She pulled on my tank more, “Oh my God! He’s so damn handsome!!! Where did you meet him?” she asked

“He’s . . . my teacher” I spoke

She blushed even more, “H-O-T”

I giggled, “Thanks”

“No, honestly! That is totally hot!!! I like ship you guys!” she smiled

“Thanks” I smiled

“Okay, tell me more later but for now, take a shower because I’m so excited to go shopping with you” she pushed me towards the bathroom and I took a shower.

After taking Eric to Minho’s place, Catherine and I went to the Lotte Mall. We stopped by Starbucks and grabbed a cup of coffee before shopping. While we were walking, she kept bombarding me with questions.

“How did it start?”

I was a little shy in telling her, but I did in the end, “We had this educational trip and we went to Japan and . . . it started there” I spoke, “At first, I didn’t even notice how he was looking at me and always there for me but when my friends noticed, I did as well” I explained

She clung onto my arm tighter, “And?”

“He confessed on the roof top of the hotel we were staying at” I confessed

She squealed a little, “O.M.G”

“Yeah . . . but the thing was . . . I was still with Minho at that time and . . . unfortunately . . . I cheated on him” I spoke weakly

“Oh my . . . “ she looked at me

“Yeah . . . I was selfish . . . like really selfish . . .” I started scanning the racks for new jeans

“Does he know?”

“Yup . . . but it was too late when I told him”

“How late?”

“When I decided to leave Korea and fly to Washington” I explained

“He knows that he was replaced by a teacher?”

I nodded

“What did he say?”

“He asked me if he needed to be an Economics teacher for me to love him again”

“Oh my . . . “

“I know right?”

She sighed, “Why did you decide to leave anyway?”

I swallowed, “Marcus’ ex girlfriend came back and she warned me . . . if I didn’t stay away from Marcus we would be in major trouble” I explained

“Oh yeah . . . teacher-student thing” she murmured, “What’s her name?”

“Hee Young”

“Pretty?”

“Prefect” I corrected her

“Damn” she cursed, “I’d like to see her”

“Don’t dream of it” I joked

“Min Ri! I did not expect to see you here!”someone called me

Catherine and I turned, “”

“How nice to see the little tramp that took my fiancé away from me” she walked towards me

“Hee Young” I spoke

“Is she the girl?” Catherine whispered

I nodded, “How are you?” I asked he

She snorted, “Heartbroken thanks to you”

I swallowed, “I told you . . . You can’t keep us apart” I spoke

She laughed, “You can’t take away Kyuhyun from me” she warned

“You know, I really can’t can I?” I asked her

“Never” she looked down at me like an insect

“The thing is, Hee Young, Kyuhyun was never yours to begin with” I smiled wickedly at her

Her nose flared, “How dare you?!” her hand was about to come in contact with my face, but I stopped her, holding her wrist

“Touch me and I swear, you will curse the day you were conceived” I warned her and violently let go of her hand

“This is not over” she pointed at me

“Good luck with your love life” I smiled at her and she walked away

I was flaring up with hate and anger right now. I hate her. I can’t ever, ever look at her ever again! I don’t want to see her ever in my life!

“That was cool! I didn’t understand your argument with her bur from looks of it, honey, you won!” she smiled

“Thanks. I’ve been . . . keeping that in my chest for some time now”

“Good thing you let it out of your chest!”

I smiled and we continued shopping for new clothes. Honestly, I don’t know if Catherine was having a major fashion crisis or she just doesn’t know what to do with her money because she kept on buying things she doesn’t even need. She bought shoes, bags, jeans, shirts, shorts, jackets and like a bundle of accessories. I know she was a fashion addict but . . . yeah . . . she spent too much!

After raiding the whole mall that afternoon, I decided to take Catherine home and give her time to unpack and rest. Eric decided to stay at Minho’s and of course, Catherine would stay at my place. I helped her unpack and after we did, we got dinner together. She went to her room to rest and I went to mine to take a shower. As I went out, I saw Kyuhyun sitting on the side of my bed, waiting for me.

“Hey” he smiled

“Hi”

“Ready?”

I nodded, “Yeah . . . “I answered weakly

  He raised a brow, “What’s wrong?” he asked

I walked towards him, “Did you . . . finish things with Hee Young?” I asked

“Yes” he answered, “Did she . . . ?”

“Yes”

His jaw hardened, “What did she do?”

“She called me a trap” I looked up at him

“Tramp?”

“Yes. And she told me I stole her fiancé” I spoke

“You never stole anything from her” he cupped my face in his hands, “Because I was never hers . . .” he smiled down at me

“You’re mine, you get that?” I wrapped my arms around his neck

“And you’re mine” he whispered

We connected our foreheads together and we kissed. A kiss that I’ve learned to love, miss and cherish from the very moment that I first kissed him on the rooftop of the hotel in Japan. I love this man so much and I would do anything to have him by my side forever.

“I’m not afraid of her anymore” I spoke

“Good”

“It was a mistake for me not to fight for us, Kyu” I spoke, “I’m not going to do run away from you anymore because you’re all I need in my life right now” I kissed him

 He smiled “I love you” he whispered

“I love you too” I whispered
