Your head drooped down, you hear the SHINee fans screaming at the top of their lungs, but in your mind, you hear silence. You walk with him hand in hand, to the airport. Jonghyun, Onew, Minho, & Taemin all wave to the Shawols happily as they pass; You and Him don’t say anything. Even though you’re used to him going away for a few days for a concert, this one seemed… different.

Earlier that week-

He sits you down on your couch, preparing to tell you the big news…

Key: “_______, I have something important to tell you…”

You: “What is it Key?” You wonder what the news is, as he looks down at his hands, not wanting to look at you

Key: “We have a big deal with this company overseas, and they said they can make SHINee more popular…” He stumbles on his words, still not looking at you. His tone was lifeless, like the happiness from him was away

You: “Key? That’s great! This is great for SHINee! & You! Why do you look like it’s a bad thing?” You lift his chin up so you can see his face… his eyes look like it’s on the edge of tears. You tilt your head worried now about what else he’s going to say

Key: He looks into your eyes deeply, with a sad expression “In order for that to happen,” he takes in a big breath, holding back his tears “We have to go over there and…. Stay.” He looks down again, avoiding your eyes

Slowly, his words sink into you… He’s leaving.

You: “W-Well, that’s great. I’m happy for you! I’ll always support you” You choked on the words, trying to sound happy, but you just can’t. Without notice, tears start streaming down your face.

Key: he looks up at you and starts seeing your tears, “________...” he cups your face in your hands and looks at you for a few minutes before hugging you really tight. You couldn’t hold, and start crying harder into him.

He stayed the whole night with you, by your side. He watched you sleep and repeatedly whispered in your ear, “I’ll always love you. We’ll be together again soon, I promise…”

Back to the Airport-

When he told you that news, you both started going out more, and just making the time you have left, last. But time wasn’t on your side. The 3 days before he leaves went by fast, and now you’re at the airport with him, waiting for the plane…

You and him sat together, you leaning on his shoulder, not speaking. The other members don’t bother you, knowing how depressed Key is from all this happening. You sit in silence, as he holds your hand, holding tighter as the time to depart gets closer.

*Flight 362 is about to take off*

The both of you stand up at the same time, and face each other. The other members climb on the plane, while you say your goodbyes…

You: “Well this is it,” You face him, smiling. Not wanting him to see you cry, you repeat the words he said to you as you slept.

Key: “I will always love you _______.” He brushes your hair behind your ear, and kisses your forehead. This would be the last time, he kisses you. You just wish, that time would stop! You close your eyes, feeling his last kiss. “Here…” he hands you a Teddy bear with the Key necklace he gave you on your birthday, “I got you a little bodyguard to watch over you while I’m gone”

You look at the Teddy bear, and your eyes start to get watery, but you hold them back.

You: “Key…” your voice cracks, and he just pulls you into a hug, squeezing you.

Before you know it, he pulls away and starts taking a couple steps back, while still holding your hand. He walks away slowly, still holding your hand until his hand couldn’t reach yours anymore. He looks at you, the whole you, 1 final time, before turning his back on you and climbing on the plane. And that’s where you let it go; Your tear’s start to fall down, 1 by 1. He’s gone.
