Earlier the week-

While Key was in London for the week, you stayed home and focused on an important exam you had at school. It was worth 75% of your grade and you had to pass! You talked to him over the phone about the test; and he was supporting you to do your best!

Next Week-

You’re test results were going to be sent to your house today so the first thing you did when you woke up was head straight to the mailbox. You grabbed the mail and just skimmed through all of them until you finally got to your test results. Crossing your fingers you ripped it open, unfolding the papers to see if you passed. Your eyes skimmed over the words and stopped where it said ‘You have passed’ Filled with you joy, you jumped up and down waving the paper in your arms. You calmed down and read more…

You results exceeded the average percentage; and had scored in the top 3 highest scores. We are glad to inform you that you are eligible for a special learning course abroad. The course is a wonderful experience for students and is a 3 year stay. It is of course all paid for in advance, and you will be able to experience the country’s culture. We would be ecstatic for you to join us; Please fill in the form and join us at the airport on Sunday for our flight. Thank you

You look at the other papers that came in the envelope and see the form. As much as you want to go, Key was in your thoughts the whole time, and you just couldn’t leave him. You decided to just ignore the whole study abroad thing and hide it from Key.

Going on with your day, you left the letter on the table and was preparing some popcorn for the movie night you and Key was going to have.

*Knock, Knock*

You go and get the door to find him smiling all peachy for tonight.

Key: “Hey ______” kissing you on the cheek and coming in. You close the door and follow him to the living room

You: “Did you get the movie?”

Key: “Yep,” Holding the Movie case in his hands. He passes you the movie and you enter it into the player, joining him in on the couch after.

About halfway through the movie

Key: “Did you pop popcorn?” looking down at you who was resting your head on his chest

You: “Oh yeah, it’s on the table” about to get up

Key: “You stay, I’ll get it” You get off his chest and let him get up from the couch. When he was gone the space next to you felt really empty

He goes into the kitchen and sees the bowl of popcorn at the edge of the table. Picking it up, he accidently knocks over the mail underneath it

Key: “Aish” putting the bowl back on the table and bending down to pick up the papers. He picks each one up 1 by 1 until your test results paper catches his eye. He puts the rest of the mail on table, while reading the letter. His eyes widen as it gets the study abroad part. Forgetting the popcorn he goes back to the room, sitting down next to you

You: “Where’s the popcorn?” Seeing him come back empty handed

Key: “Oh… I forgot it… But how do you explain this?” holding the paper in his hand

You: Eyes widening “Give me that!” Snatching the paper away from him, worried he might have read the part with the study

Key: “I already know about the study” Guessing what you were thinking by the way your reaction was. “Why didn’t you tell me? A Full scholarship? Studying abroad??” Happy

You: “It’s nothing! I already decided not to go” looking sad “I don’t want to leave you”

Key: “_______... Not going? Why?! You have to go! This thing only comes once in a while you know!?”

You: “Yeah bu-“ He puts his finger against your lips

Key: “No buts. This is a wonderful experience, and you can’t miss it…” You look at him, not sure what he was thinking. He looked like it was a good thing and he even says it’s a good thing. But he really was dying inside. He couldn’t let you pass on an amazing opportunity! Even if that meant you leaving for 3 years…. He kept his cool and found the strength to push you on

You: “Are you sure I should go?” hesitating “You’ll be alright?”

Key: Smiling “Positive” You think about it for a moment

You: “Okay… I’ll go….”

The next few days, Him and SHINee help pack all of your things. Leaving your room with only the bed and a few drawers.

Sunday-

(You)

Taking a last look at your empty room. Standing there with your Teddy bear in your hands. You take in a deep breath, never going to forget the memories here. Your tears start to fall, remembering the years

Key: “_______? Are you ready?” Yelling from the outside

You: “Yeah! I’ll be right out!” You yell back. You lay your Teddy bear upright in the middle of your bed. Smiling, you start walking to the front door, trying to make sure you don’t look like your crying

Key: “_____, Don’t cry” wiping your tears away as you come out the door

You: “Okay.” Trying to smile “I’m going to miss you Key”

Key: “I’ll miss you too ______” He smiles and pulls you into a hug “Don’t do anything rash” kissing you the lips.

He waves goodbye to you while you get in the car. Onew, Minho, Jonghyun, and Taemin were the ones that were going to help you at the airport, but you didn’t question why Key didn’t come. You looked out the window and kept waving to Key until the car took a turn and he was out of your sight. You sigh in your seat, and look out the window as you guys got closer to the aiport

SHINee helped you get your bags out of the car and walk you to your tunnel number.

You: “Thanks guys” facing them

Onew: “Don’t worry about it ______! It’s the least we could do”

You: “Haha… Well this is it…”

Onew: “Take care of yourself over there

Taemin: “We’re going to miss you ______”

Minho: “Have fun studying abroad”

Jonghyun: “But not too much fun now” He jokingly comments when you finally come to him, giving him a hug. You give each member a hug and a goodbye, grabbing your hand bag and waving to them as you walk into the plane.

(Him)

After the car turns the curb he drops his hands and sighs, putting his hands in his pockets and walking up the steps to your door. He opens the door and finds the whole place empty. Only your bed, drawers, kitchen table and chairs were left. He walks around each room, slowly, remembering the days when he used to sing you to sleep, chase away the little nightmares you had, the way you used to sing in front of him, and just the way you smiled.

Key: “I can still hear her laughing….”

He finally approaches your bedroom. The first thing he sees is the Teddy bear you left, sitting on top of the bed. He laughs and comes to pick up the bear, remembering he gave it to you as a body guard when he left.

Key: “Does she think this will be my body guard now?” laughing to himself, holding the bear in his hands while he sits down on the bed, propping his elbows on his knees

The room is still and quiet. Everything gone really made him miss you more.

Key: “I love you _____...” whispering to the teddy bear, holding it tightly. Letting his tears to finally fall after all the strength it took him to hold it back…
