Normal POV

 

Alone, Kyuhyun looked up at a statue he’s working on. Even though he had already cleared a huge pile of moss, the angel statue looked dirtier than ever. For him, the whole project was pointless. He doubted anyone ever came to visit that place. He also doubted that any of the detainees were still working.

 

His eye just happened to fall on one girl, who was working. She was diligently using a wire brush to scrub some mold off another statue. She’d even pushed up the sleeves on her sweater and Kyuhyun could see her sweat running down from her neck. He sighed, and he couldn’t help it. So he leaned his elbow against the stone angel to watch her.

 

“She’s always been such a hard worker.” Kyuhyun thought.

 

Kyuhyun quickly shook his head. Where had that come from? He had no idea what it meant. And yet, he’d been the one who’d thought it. He thought that he needed to handle on this ‘unknown girl thing’. He’d known her for one day and already he could feel himself slipping into a very strange and unfamiliar place.

 

“Probably best to stay away from her!” A cold voice behind him said.

 

Kyuhyun whipped around where the voice came from and it was a charming, innocent-looking girl with her hands on her hips.

 

“Who?” he asked the girl, knowing he sounded stupid.

 

The girl rolled her eyes. “Just trust me when I tell you that falling for that girl would be a very, very bad idea.”

 

Before Kyuhyun could answer, the girl was gone. But the unknown girl, it was almost as if she’d heard what they were talking about, and now looking straight at him.

 

He knew the sun had gone behind a cloud. If he could break her stare, he could look up and see it for himself. But he couldn’t look up, he couldn’t look away, and for some reason, he had to squint to see her. Almost like the girl was creating her own light, like she was blinding him. A hollow ringing noise filled up his ears, and his knees began to tremble.

 

He wanted to pick up his rake and pretend he didn’t see her coming. But it was too late to play it cool.

 

“What’d she say to you?” the unknown girl asked.

 

“Um,” he hedged, racking his brain for a sensible lie. Finding nothing. He cracked his knuckles.

 

The unknown girl cupped her hands over his. “I hate it when you do that.”

 

Kyuhyun jerked away instinctively. Her hand on his had been so fleeting, yet he felt his face flush. She meant it was a pet peeve of his that knuckle cracking from anyone would bother her, right? Because to say that she hated it when he did that implied that she’d seen him do it before. And she couldn’t have. She barely knew him.

 

Then why did this feel like a fight they‘d had before?

 

“The girl from a while ago told me to stay away from you,” he said finally.

 

The unknown girl tilted her head from side to side, seeming to consider this. “She’s probably right.”

 

“So are you going to do it?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest, a dare.

 

“What?” he said.

 

The unknown girl took a step toward him. She was now less than a foot away. She held her breath. She kept her body completely still. She waited.

 

“Are you going to stay away from me?” It almost sounded like she was flirting.

 

But Kyuhyun was completely out of sorts. His brow was damp with sweat, and he squeezed her temples between two fingers, trying to regain possession of his body, trying to take it back from his control. He was totally unprepared to flirt back. That was, if what she was doing was actually flirting.

 

He took a step back. “I guess so!”

 

“Didn’t hear you,” she whispered, cocking an eyebrow and taking another step closer.

 

Kyuhyun backed up again, farther this time. He practically slammed into the base of the statue and could feel the gritty stone foot of the angel scraping his back. And then the deep groan of something heavy startled them both. Kyuhyun gasped as the top of the marble statue teetered over them, like a tree branch swaying in the breeze. For a second, it seemed to hover in the air.

 

Kyuhyun and the girl stood staring at the angel. Both of them knew it was on its way down. The angel’s head bowed slowly toward them, like it was praying and then the whole statue picked up speed as it started hurtling down. Then everything went black…

 

“Aaahhhh…” Kyuhyun yawned widely, still with his eyes closed. He tried to remember every detail from his dream.

 

“What a strange dream… I wonder who that girl was.” Kyuhyun thought, still in deep thoughts trying to recall the girl’s face but didn’t succeed because it was as if the girl’s face was all blurred.

 

Then he started to open his eyes slowly because the sun’s rays are now directly on his eyes. Then he was startled seeing Yoona in front of him. He was about to squeal when his mom immediately covered  his mouth with her hands.

 

“Ssshh…” Mrs. Cho gestured then Kyuhyun gave her mom a ‘what’s-going-on look’ but her mom just pulled him quickly from his seat.

 

At the living room…

 

“Yah! What’s happening mom? Why am I sleeping beside Yoona? Is this another scheme of yours?” Kyuhyun blurted out.

 

“Yah! Cho Kyuhyun! Why are you shouting? I must be the one asking this question to you!  I didn’t do anything and this isn’t a scheme, you know! I just saw you two together sleeping yesterday night. Can’t you remember? Aishh.. This kid! ” Mrs. Cho explained.

 

Then everything went back to Kyuhyun’s memories.

 

“Ahh.. is that so? Mianhaeyo Eomma.” Kyuhyun apologized then scratched his head for a bit.

 

“Then, son, tell me what really happened last night! Malhae.. Malhae… Please…” Mrs. Cho begged cutely while cuddling his son’s arms.

 

“Yah.. Eomma! Andwe! Andw….” Kyuhyun’s words were cut-off when they saw Yoona.

 

“Oh! Yoona! Honey! You’re already awake? Waeyo? Is Kyuhyun’s voice too loud? Ahh.. mianhae..” Mrs. Cho sneakily asked then beat Kyu’s arms lightly. Kyuhyun, on the other side, let go a long sigh after being beaten.

 

“Aniya! ” Yoona replied.

 

Then Mrs. Cho already asked them to have their breakfast already. In the middle of their talk, Mrs. Cho then thought of something. She decided to cool-off that day since it was a fine day, it would be great if the three of them have some leisure time today. After all, there are no classes today. Mrs. Cho immediately asked Kyuhyun to wash up and instructed Yoona to get ready.

 

“Ahmm.. Mrs. Cho. Is it really fine with you to be with me? This would be a great time with your son only, isn’t it?” Yoona shyly asked.

 

“Aigoo… Yoona, my dear. I really love to be with you, so no more questioning, arasso?” Mrs. Cho answered.

 

When Kyuhyun was already finished, they went to Yoona’s house first. Kyuhyun, as the driver, forgot the way to Yoona’s house already so she’s beside him. When they were already there, Yoona immediately had her bath while Kyuhyun and his mom had a conversation with Taeyeon.

 

“So, you are Yoona’s sister?” Mrs. Cho asked to Taeyeon.

 

“Aniya, we weren’t really related in blood. I just act as her elder sister because she has no one to be with anymore aside from her father.” Tayeon explained.

 

“Oh? Is that so? So she has no Mom anymore. Aigoo… I feel sorry for her.. So where’s her dad?” Mrs. Cho continued asking.

 

Taeyeon suddenly went inside the bedroom then went out with Yoona’s father. Mrs. Cho was really surprised seeing Yoona’s mentally-diseased father. Then, suddenly, Mrs. Cho bursted in tears.

 

“Yah! Eomma! Waeyo? Aishh.. Chincha..” Kyuhyun tapped his mother’s back while asking her to stop already.

 

“I didn’t e-expect that Yoona has this s-sad life story.” Mrs. Cho said while sobbing.

 

Then, Yoona already finshed having her bath and was already finished in dressing up. She was surprised seeing Mrs. Cho crying. She asked her why but Mrs. Cho didn’t answer, then wiped her tears and gestured that they will already go. Yoona just agreed then she immediately kissed her dad and waved at her Taeyeon unnie. Mrs. Cho and Kyuhyun were both surprised seeing how Yoona loved her father dearly and her unnie. Then, Mrs. Cho smiled…

 

“Eomma? Where are we going next?” Kyuhyun asked.

 

“To the Amusement Park!” Mrs. Cho exclaimed.

 

“Neh?!!”  Yoona surprisingly startled.

 

Mrs. Cho was surprised with Yoona’s sudden expression as well as Kyuhyun who paused for a bit in driving then eyed Yoona from the inside mirror of the car.

 

“Oh? Waeyo Yoona? Is there anything wrong?” Mrs. Cho questioned.

 

“Ah.. Aniyo Mrs. Cho. It was j-just that… It’s my f-first time again to be in an a-amusement park after a l-long time.” Yoona stammered facing downward trying to hide her blushy face from the two because of too much excitement.

 

“Oh! Then it would be a great time for the three of us! Aishh… It’s getting exciting the more we get closer! Aigoo… Kyuhyunnie! Hurry up so we could get there quickly!” Mrs. Cho reminded then held Yoona’s hands because of her over-excitement.

 

Kyuhyun and Yoona just smiled seeing Mrs. Cho’s expression. And in just a minute, they already arrived. Mrs. Cho was the first to get out from the car while Yoona had a hard time removing the seatbelt.

 

Kyuhyun leaned slowly towards Yoona then Yoona was stunned.

 

“Yaahhh!!! What are you going to do Kyu…?” Yoona was threatened when Kyuhyun was coming nearer and nearer towards her face.

 

“Aishh… What are you thinking you dirty-minded girl? I’ll just remove the seatbelt for you!” Kyuhyun uttered then tried to unlock the seatbelt but it was so hard for him because of their uncomfortable places.

 

“Aigoo… how did you put this seatbelt on? Aisshh… chincha!” Kyuhyun scolded Yoona.

 

Yoona was now feeling very irritated with their places right now. They are not that close to each other but enough for her to feel awkward.

 

“Then I’ll just remove it myself! You can now go first!” Yoona yelled then threw Kyuhyun’s hands away.

 

“Yah! I am now helping you! Why with the sudden shouting?” Kyuhyun yelled back.

 

“Neh.. Neh.. Mianhae…” Yoona just accepted her defeat. But deep in her thoughts, “You’ll see later!!! You jerk!!”

 

Kyuhyun tried again to unlock the seatbelt but now in a closer position to Yoona so he could see what’s wrong with the seatbelt clearly. Then, Kyuhyun successfully unlocked it already. Yoona, who was very relieved, pushed something from her side that made her seat fall back and made her in a lying position. Kyuhyun, who was leaning on her that time also made him in a position identical to Yoona. They are now facing each other in just some inches away. They both stared each other blankly, still shocked. Both of their eyes went big, then suddenly, Mrs. Cho knocked from the window then peeped from the tinted glass of the car and was stunned seeing the two. So she immediately avoided the image of the two. Yoona, who was surprised seeing Mrs. Cho, immediately put the huge hood of Kyu covering his whole face. She felt so embarrassed that time so she just ended up doing that thing then reasoned out…

 

“K-Kamsahamnida Kyu for the ‘seatbelt thing’. It’s just that we’re already going out so I just put your hood on for you!” Yoona said then gulped. Then she gently pushed Kyuhyun and went outside the car immediately.

 

Then  Kyuhyun removed the part of his hood that is covering his sight and found nothing. Yoona has gotten out already so he just got out from his car also.

 

“Yah! Yoona, dear, what has really happened inside huh? Why are you in that position like… you know?” Mrs. Cho questioned softly then chuckled for a bit.

 

Yoona was really embarrassed to answer that’s why she just nodded her head side by side that means ‘it’s nothing’ while her face facing down. Then suddenly, Kyuhyun already went out with his shades and hood on. Yoona, who was still annoyed, make-face at Kyuhyun and gave him a your-not-that-handsome- complimentary look. Then Kyuhyun just showed his ever-annoyed face. Mrs. Cho who noticed the cold atmosphere between the two thought something to make them closer even for a day. She hooked her one hand on Yoona’s arm and another on Kyuhyun’s arms. The two kids were both surprised then Mrs. Cho just dragged them everywhere.

 

The first ride they took was the Bump Car. Some were already suspicious with Kyuhyun but because they were on an amusement park, they just ignored him. And because of this fact, Kyuhyun was a bit annoyed. He was gazing to the people around him when suddenly someone bumped on him hardly and when he looked at it, he saw his mother flashing a big smile on him and then suddenly, another one bumped on him, he felt that his brain was already remove from its place because of the hard bump on him and when he looked back, he saw Yoona laughing devilishly. He thought of revenge, he tried to run all the way to Yoona trying to catch her and bump on her hardly too but suddenly… the bell already rang and a guy was already signaling them that their time was already finished. Kyuhyun rolled his eyes seeing the man and Yoona smirked on him.

 

“Aisshh.. Chincha! Just wait Yoona, I know it isn’t the right time yet. Watch out you little kid!”Kyuhyun thought trying to be calm.

 

The next one they rode was the roller coaster. Yoona was really anticipating it because when she was still a child, she remembered that her mom always doesn’t allow her because she’s still young. And now thinking of it, a quick smile was formed on Yoona’s face.

 

After having the roller coaster, they decided to take a break for a while. They went on a café shop and had some quick snacks over there. Yoona, can’t help but to crave from all the delicious foods from the shop. She didn’t notice that she was already about to drool when suddenly Kyuhyun closed .

 

“Watch out! Insects all over this place might think of your mouth as their home.” Kyuhyun teased then smirked evilly.

 

“Aisshh..” Yoona blurted out and eyed Kyuhyun intently.

 

Everything went back when suddenly the waiter already served their orders. Just a piece of doughnut for each of them and a cold coffee.

 

“Are they joking?” Yoona thought. She still waited for some minutes while biting bit by bit of her doughnut, still hoping that there will be more to come but unfortunately, nothing was served.

 

After the snack, Yoona was still craving for more because she felt that the food she has eaten didn’t reached her stomach yet. They were already outside the café, Yoona held her tummy and felt the roars of her inside organs wanting to have some more foods. Mrs. Cho saw this then she smiled seeing how cute Yoona is. Mrs. Cho excused herself for awhile, and there left the two kids. No words were heard from the two the whole time Mrs. Cho was not present. Then, Kyu’s mom already arrived, and now she bought a box of doughnut and some drinks. Yoona was dazzled seeing the box of delicious snacks. Mrs. Cho gave it to Yoona quickly and Yoona immediately took it and grabbed some piece from the box. She felt embarrassed remembering what she has just done. She looked at the two who were eyeing her, then she apologized.

 

“It’s okay my dear.. Go on! It’s all for you!” Mrs. Cho enunciated.

 

Yoona thanked her but suddenly something strucked on her head. She thought of her Taeyeon Unnie and her father who haven’t tasted something that is as delicious and as expensive as this so she quickly felt full.

 

“Oh? Waeyo Yoona? Don’t you like it? Why did you stop suddenly?” Mrs. Cho questioned.

 

“I am already full Mrs. Cho. I’ll just bring this home for Taeyeon unnie and Appa. Is that okay?” Yoona asked.

 

Suddenly, Mrs. Cho felt really touched seeing Yoona’s sweetness and thoughtfulness towards her family and a tear was about to fall already. Kyuhyun saw this so he immediately grabbed her mom’s arms and Yoong’s hands.

 

Yoona was surprised when Kyuhyun suddenly held her hand. She thought that he was the first man to hold her hand aside from his father. She glanced at Kyuhyun who was already sweating all over because of the thick jacket he’s wearing so she decided to stop walking for a while. She got her handkerchief from her pocket then wiped some sweat from Kyuhyun’s face. Kyuhyun, on the other side was stunned, he never expected this scene. She gazed at Yoona’s small face who was busily wiping his sweat. He then discovered that Yoona has a great and pretty eyes and he remembered when he held Yoona’s hands a while ago, it was as if as soft as a cotton. He thought that it was the best thing he has held in his whole life. While Yoona, who was wiping Kyu’s sweat, was surprised seeing Kyuhyun’s dark-brown eyes and perfect brows. When suddenly, Mrs. Cho scoffed intentionally to catch the attention of the two and there they came back to the real world. Yoona smiled at Mrs. Cho shyly while she answered her with her witty smile.

 

“Oh! Mianhaeyo… Let’s go?” Yoona shyly whispered.

 

Mrs. Cho just smiled as her reply while Kyuhyun gazed at Yoona as if she was about to melt. He showed off a refreshing smile which Yoona caught. Then, she just smiled back at him and there they went back to their business a while ago. They ride almost all of the rides already from the amusement park. The wild river is the only thing they haven’t taken yet. At first, they all insisted because it’s getting dark already and they haven’t brought any extra clothes with them that time. But as Yoona insisted, of course they didn’t reject it. They were already next in line to ride when Mrs. Cho remembered something. She has forgotten to bring her camera so she decided to go back to their car and get it. Minutes have passed already and it’s now their time to go in and ride but Mrs. Cho was nowhere in sight yet. They were to try to ask a favor to the man operating but they weren’t able when they saw a huge man operating it. They became scaredy and weren’t able to ask anymore. The engine already started, Kyuhyun was becoming a bit nervous because it’s his first time riding it and when he heard Yoona squealed loudly, it was as if his heart was about to explode already. He was so shocked hearing Yoona’s loud squeals. Yoona saw this. And when the boat ride was about to go down already, Yoona squealed loudly then looked at kyuhyun and she saw his scared expression so she held his hand then raised it all the way to the air together with the going down of the ride. She gave the best squeal she could give while holding Kyu’s hands. Kyu, on the other side looked back at her then just squealed with her. They didn’t notice that Mrs. Cho was already down from their places a while ago and got a shot of the two.

 

“Perfect!” Mrs. Cho commented after seeing her shot from the couple. She got a picture of them with their hands held tightly and raised up above and with their mouths widely-opened.

 

After that ride, the both of them got wet all over their shirts. So when Mrs. Cho saw them, she immediately gave the shirts she has bought a while ago.

 

“I bought it earlier, I hope you like it!” Mrs. Cho said then leaned her hands towards the two to give her newly-bought shirts and the two thanked her.

 

Yoona and Kyuhyun went directly to the restrooms of the amusement park without taking a single peek from the clothes Mrs. Cho just bought. Yoona went out first and told Mrs. Cho that it was great then after a minute, Kyuhyun also got out of the restroom also. The two were surprised seeing each other’s shirts. They were as if wearing a couple t-shirt.

 

“Oh? Yah! Eomma! Why did you buy a couple t-shirt? Aishh.. Cheongmal…” Kyuhyun blurted out then sighed.

 

Then Yoona just gave an ‘Aigoo’ expression.

 

“Waeyo? At least you have some clothes to…” Mrs. Cho paused when she heard her phone rang. It was a text message so she immediately opened it and just then, she told the two that she’ll be going first because there is an unexpected relative coming.

 

Kyuhyun and Yoona were speechless seeing how Mrs. Cho left without another word. They never expected that she was going to leave that early. Kyuhyun looked at Yoona and Yoona looked back at him then they both chuckled. Kyuhyun gestured to have a sit first at the bench near them. Then Kyu decided to remove his hood and shades for a while ‘coz anyway, it’s already dark so he has no more worries.

 

“Aigoo… what are we going to do now Cho Kyuhyun?” Yoona asked formally.

 

“It’s weird Yoona! Stop calling me in that way…” Kyuhyun commented.

 

“Arasso! So now what?” Yoona questioned again.

 

“Molla! Let’s just rest first…” Kyuhyun answered then Yoona just agreed.

 

They were already resting and it’s been minutes already since they went dead silent. When suddenly someone covered Kyuhyun’s eyes then started to ask childishly who she was…

 

“Yah! Yah! Who’s this? Hajimma!!” Kyuhyun tried to remove the hands from his eyes and when he succeeded, she was surprised seeing that it was Yuri. Yoona was also surprised seeing that girl for the second time…

 

“Oh? Annyeong Hasseyo!” Yoona greeted.

 

“Oh… you’re the girl from last time right? Why are you always with my Kyuhyun then?” Yuri sneakily asked.

 

Yoona’s eyes were widened after hearing what the girl just said.

 

“Aigoo.. I’m just kidding! Kkkk~” Yuri muttered.

 

“Yah! Kwon Yuri! Stop it! Stop with your nonsense acts!” Kyuhyun yelled.

 

“Waeyo Oppa? You’re not in a good mood now, I see.” Yuri commented. “Because of her?” Yuri whispered.

 

“I said stop it!” Kyuhyun scolded.

 

Yuri was surprised seeing Kyu’s angry face so she just stayed quiet when suddenly…

 

“Oh? Yoona!!!!” someone yelled from afar.

 

The three of them looked where the voice came from but wasn’t able to recognize when he was still in the dark. They all waited for the man to appear and when features of the guy was already visible from the light, Yoona was able to know him already…

 

“Donghae Oppa!”Yoona yelled back then Donghae ran his way to Yoona. He was surprised seeing Yoona with Kyuhyun again and with an unknown girl.

 

They greeted and introduced each other. They had short conversation that time when Yuri already asked to leave.

 

“Oppa! Take me home already, anyway Yoona has someone to be with, right?” Yuri asked.

 

Yoona was surprised so she just agreed then Kyuhyun eyed him. Yoona looked back then just gave a ‘you-can-now-go look’. Yuri and Dongahe saw this and thought that the two were really close already. Then Yuri and Kyuhyun went on their own way with Yuri clinging tightly on Kyu’s arms and Yoona saw this and just smiled. Donghae and Yoona were left alone and there’s nothing to talk to, they thought, so Yoona just asked to leave already.

 

The two of them took a bus to ride back home. Yoona who was very tired find her place so comfortable so she fell asleep. Unknowingly, Donghae, who was seated beside her, was surprised when Yoona’s head suddenly fell on his shoulder. At first, he thought of placing it back from the window when he thought that she’ll get hurt when the bus bumps. He really doesn’t want Yoona to wake up with a position like that. Although Donghae has a secret feeling towards Yoona, he never had an idea to take advantage in situations like this. So he just thought that it was his sister Sooyoung who was leaning on him. When they were already there, Donghae slowly lift Yoona’s head then woke her up and tell that they were already there. Yoona immediately stood up then went her way out to the bus. Yoona was still sleepy that time that’s why they didn’t talk on anything while walking on their way to Yoona’s home. And when they already reached her place, Yoona just thanked him for the concern and left without another word…

DONE with the 8th Chapter. How was it everybody? I'm so sorry if it took some time to update because of my tight schedule and periods from school. Please don't hate me yet!
