Crystal and BrickJongin actually didn’t have any plan to stay for a night. But when he looked at how happy his daughter was when she interacted with her two uncles, Jongin didn’t have a heart to ask her home.

“Uncle, Isn’t it too much?” Minji’s eyes widened upon seeing the table full of food. If she wasn’t wrong, they were enough to feed more than four persons.
“We need to celebrate, sweetheart.” Key’s eyes softened as he Minji’s hair lovingly. “I’m so glad you’re here. You’re so pretty just—“
“Just like your mother.” Minji continued the sentence with tender smile. “I got that quite a lot but the way you guys say it makes me feel so loved.”
“Because we love you,” Jonghyun picked up the chopstick and tried the sauce of one pasta Key just made. “Isn’t that obvious?”
“It’s pretty obvious, actually.” Minji chortled. “But the man right here, he’s really bad at showing how loved I am. Sometimes I wonder if my presence is even wanted.”
“Jongin.”
“Yah! Kim Jongin!”
Jongin, who was lifting the spoon and ready to taste the soup almost choked on his food. He threw them a disbelief look when he saw the accusing look from both men in the room.
“I love Minji!” Jongin pouted in habit. “It’s just... I can’t help but feel a little awkward because I’m not used to have a daughter. I don’t even know how to treat a daughter. Not my fault if I don’t know how to love properly. I’m not someone loved.”
