CHAPTER 38

“Hana...” Kris started as he walked much closer to her side and grabbed her hand “This is Chairman Wu, my dad... Chairman...” he turns to his dad with a blank look on his face and continues “My girlfriend, Kim Hana”

Hana blinks her eyes, surprised by the sudden turn of events. Just a minute ago, she was being told what her new job was going to be and now everything has suddenly turned into parental introductions; Gulp. She turned back to the Chairman who smiled at the two of them and she bowed.

The chairman leaves the chair and walks around the desk, holding out a hand to Hana and she shakes it “Pleasure to meet you young lady” Hana puts on a nervous smile and gives a curt nod “The pleasure is mine, sir”

“Since you two are here; Kris, I'm transferring Ms. Kim to China to be the new Head of Finance there”

And Kris's world seemed to have just stopped. He frowned, he glared at his father. Yes, he glared at the Chairman of Wu Enterprise. Hana was just as equally surprised, what the chairman was saying now was completely different. “B-But you said I would be --”

“Ms. Kim, I think you have such great potentials... it would be a shame” Chairman Wu smiled at her and Kris's grip on her hand tightened “Hana's not going anywhere but here” venom slipped through his words but Chairman Wu's smile never faltered. “Then... if that is so, she goes back to her old job, before she became Head of Finance”

“Fine” Kris said and turned to her “She can work her way up again”

Chairman Wu turned to Hana “Are you really willing to do that to your girlfriend? You're being a bit selfish, Kris” he spoke, letting out a sigh at the end of his sentence. Kris's brows narrowed some more “Hana... wait outside”

The tension in the air suddenly grew heavy and Hana immediately left.

Hana.

BREATHE! For a second I thought I would suffocate; being in a room with such powerful men is strenuous! Goodness, if I were to stay there a little longer, I think Kris might explode. I bit my lower lip and paced back and forth as I waited outside, my hands are shaking and cold bullets of sweat are forming on my forehead.

“Hana” I heard a voice and I jumped in surprise; “Oh my” I breathed, placing a palm over to where my heart was and breathed out a sigh of relief “Sonya-ssi”

She chuckled and I smiled as she walked towards me “Is Kris already in?” she asks and I nod my head “But he's currently busy with the Chairman...”

“Oh, well I'll wait... come on, let's take a seat over there” she tells me and we both take a seat at the mini lounge on the side. Every ticking of the clock, every passing second, I was getting more and more anxious and I kept looking at the door. “Are you okay?” Sonya asks and I nod my head with a smile “Ofcourse, I was just... surprised to see the Chairman” I look down on my palms placed on my lap.

“I see... hm, well did he tell you what your job was going to be?” I nod my head “Well, yes but when Kris came, he just --” the door opened and we both got up from our seats. Kris looked around for a moment then saw me. He gestured me with two fingers and I walked towards him with Sonya following behind, as soon as I was within arms reach, he grabbed my hand “Just Hana” he told Sonya and pulled me inside before closing the door behind him.

Once again, I was faced with Chairman Wu. I glanced at Kris, he still seemed upset and I was nervous “Ms. Kim” the old man's voice filled my ears and I quickly turned to him “Ms. Kim, I trust you know your way around already? You start your new job today”

I looked to and fro “O-of what exactly, sir?” I ask, unsure which one was really my job. Kris pocketed one of his hands and brought the other to his mouth, letting out a cough “As my full-time PA”

“W-what?” my eyes widen. He first told me that I was going to be a Financial Manager so it would seem like Sonya and I switched jobs then he tells me I'll be working in China and now I'm... Kris's PA? Chairman Wu heads for the door “I have to be in a meeting in a few minutes, I'll be taking my leave... You two...” he looks at the two of us and I fluster.

“Be professional, no goofing off in the office” he points at me “I'll fire you, I seriously will” Kris slaps down his finger and glares at his father. Chairman Wu gives him a childish pout “Aish, kids these days...” he shook his head then leaves the office.

As the doors close, Kris lets out a heavy sigh then walks to his chair and sits down.

“I'll have your things transferred later on...” he mumbles, his hands rubbing his temples as he closes his eyes. A knock comes on the door and Kris groans but nevertheless he tells the person to come in and Sonya appears with a bright smile. She crosses her arms over her chest “So, how did the father and girlfriend meeting go?” she asks with a chuckle.

Wait... did she... Sonya turns to me “Did you honestly think I was that oblivious?” I didn't answer. Kris opened his eyes and looked at Sonya “So, you're the one who told him”

Sonya gives a bow then chuckles “I was paid to do so; are you relieved now, Kris?” she tilts her head to the side in question and Kris frowns “That was one ed up act”

Okay... I'm a little lost here. I hadn't noticed that there was this confused look on my face. Sonya smiled at me “Remember when I told you that Kris was afraid Fang Yin was his?” she chuckles and I smile as I remember. “Oh yeah”

Yes. I knew, Sonya told me beforehand. She told me everything, and by everything I mean even up to the part that they were both exes, though I never knew the reason why they both broke up. Hmm, maybe I should ask Kris about it.

“You knew?” Kris asked and I nod my head. He let out a grunt and looked away while Sonya only laughed; I sheepishly scratch the back of my neck “Mianhe, but you never asked and you never brought up a topic relating to it”

“Well, anyway, I'll be taking my leave now... I'll see you around” Sonya smiles and exits the room.

As the doors closed, a pair of arms made their way around my waist from behind and my breathing hitched a bit in surprise. “You...” my cheeks burnt up, Kris was too close for comfort and his breathing was hitting my neck “owe me an explanation”

I felt myself shudder. God, his deep voice... my eyes widened when I felt his lips rest on my neck and I just froze up. “S-sir, what a-are you doing?” he pulled me closer and I think my heart just stopped. “Let's go out for lunch later” he mumbles, not answering my question. Hana, control yourself. “S-sir, I don't think this i-is appropriate” he presses another kiss on my neck and I bit my lower lip

“No...” he purrs into my ear “this is not appropriate” he then bit on my lobe and I just jumped away from his grasp, my hand covering my ear as I looked at him, flustered and full of disbelief.

Kris.

Adorable. Yes, that is the single word that describes Hana when she's all flustered. I smirked before heading back to my chair. As stressed and upset I am, just the realization that the Chairman and Sonya meant no harm to my personal life is enough to relieve me of everything.

Since when was the old er such a tease? I wonder.

“Your office is directly outside of mine, Ms. Kim; your things will be moved later on today but for the mean time, arrange my schedules” I hand her a new phone. Hana blinks for a moment then cautiously walks over to my desk to take the phone from my hand, but as she was about to take it, I held my hand back. “You do know that you owe me twenty three more kisses, right?”

She swallows hard and her cheeks turn red again; I held back my smile and kept a blank face on.

“I... I didn't know that was still in effect” she pouts and I swear I could just eat her up, kiss her to my heart's content but no... that's not me. “Well it is...”

I grabbed her hand pulled her forward, leaning myself in aswell and just kissed her. Soft lips as always... I felt a push on my shoulder and Hana pulled away. She clasped a hand over and grabbed the phone from my hand before rushing out of my office.

Sigh. When will you learn to be comfortable? Tsk.

Before lunch time, Hana was already settled in her new office and have arranged Kris's schedule. She didn't realize how busy he was until she saw the list of appointments he had for the month. He always seems so... free. She puffed out a sigh after inputting everything into the business phone he gave her.

Her new space was still the same, only difference being it was now on the top floor and close to the CEO's.

Knock. Knock.

She almost dropped the phone on the ground but luckily didn't; “C-come in!” the door opened and Kyungsoo let himself inside, closing the door behind him.

“Ky--- I mean, Mr. Do” she smiled, getting up and bowed to her boss. Kyungsoo chuckled “Just 'Kyungsoo' is fine, Hana” Hana scratched the back of her neck and invited Kyungsoo to sit down. “So, what brings you here sir?” she asks and Kyungsoo sighs “So professional... anyway, I'm just here to talk”

“Oh... I see, about what?” she asks. Kyungsoo shifted a bit, setting himself to be comfortable in the chair “Nothing business related; How are you taking things?”

Hana blinks her eyes in confusion “Things?”

“You know... your new job and such”

“Oh!” her face lit up and she smiled “I'm taking things well and Kris is relieved about things so, yeah...”

Kyungsoo chuckles “Ofcourse he is, he was so worried that Fang Yin might be his daughter” Hana laughed; Ah, he melodic laugh, no wonder Kris has fallen for her... so innocent and pure. Kyungsoo smiles, thinking to himself.

“Well, he should learn to let people finish their sentences...” she remarks. The phone rings and Hana was quick to pick it up, excusing herself from Kyungsoo.

“Yes, Mr. Wu?” Kris chuckles on the other line “Lunch, Ms. Kim?”

Hana felt her cheeks redden “O-ofcourse sir, shall I call a restaurant for you?”

“No, I already made reservations. I'll drop by your office” He then hung up. Hana stared at the phone for a moment then Kyungsoo got up from his seat “Well, it's lunch time Hana... do you want to --” Just as he was about to finish his sentence, the door opened and Kris appeared. He frowned at Kyungsoo and the other just raised a confused brow at him “If you plan on asking her for lunch, drop it” Kris spat coldly

Hana's face just grew a much darker shade of red; Kyungsoo snorted a laugh to the side “So possessive” he sighed and turned to Hana “Well, I'll be having lunch with Kai, Hana-ssi...”

“M-maybe next time, Mr. Do” she smiles at Kyungsoo and the guy nods his head before walking past Kris, giving his friend --Kris- a pat on the shoulder and exits the office. Kris turns to Hana with a frown and she freezes on her spot “What do you mean by next time?” he asks her.

Gulp. “I-I mean, t-to have lunch with him another --” Kris's brows narrowed some more and she bit back her tongue. Kris crosses his arms over his chest “Have I ever told you that what's mine is only mine?”

She blinks her eyes at his words and he strides towards her, stopping infront of her and leans down, their faces only a couple of centimeters apart. Hana shook her head “N-no, you didn't” Kris squinted his eyes as if he was piercing hers. Hana's face grew red.

All of a sudden, his arms unfolded and he grabbed her by the waist making her gasp as he pulled her closer “You're mine, Kim Hana... only mine”

His grip on her waist tightened and his expression softened “Only mine... okay?”

And she nodded.

Hello chinggus! Did anyone of you watch Super Show 5 Manila yesterday? I cried yesterday, I didn't :'(

Anyway, sorry for not updating. *90 degree bow* SORRY! but if you haven't read my blog post then please do so, it's been hard lately. :( But here I am, I will try to distract myself ~ I will try very hard!
