CHAPTER 19

Kris pulled her closer by the waist and took a few steps back into the room; Hana's hand falls from the handle and the door closes. Slowly her eyes close and she responds to the kiss. His grip around her waist tightened and soon she was pressed onto his warm chest; He held onto her so tightly as if she was his life line.

As if that if he let her go, they would part forever.

Hana pulled away to breath but not a second later, Kris pulled her back into the kiss again. He fell back onto the chair and Hana landed on his lap, straddling him with her legs on either side of his. His lips felt so heavenly... he was taking her breath away, almost literally.

Their lips moved in rhythm; synchronizing in the most perfect way. Their minds were blank; it was as if they were releasing their frustrations through this kiss. One of his hands moved up to her neck while the other kept a hold on her waist. Hana's heels fell onto the ground and her hands held onto Kris's shoulders. His lips moved from her lips to her neck; Hana was breathing heavily.

“Mr. Wu” she took a sharp intake of breath, her grip tightened as she felt him on the side of her neck.

It was all new to Hana. The feeling. The experience. Every single second of this moment was all new to her and Kris was making this feel so good and so right... yet it was wrong at the same time.

She moaned and Kris felt satisfaction wash over him. A gasp escaped her lips when he moved up to her ear, his breathing sent sparks of electricity down her spine and her back arched forward, pressing further onto his body. He lightly bit her earlobe

“Kris!” He stopped.

They were both breathing heavily. Kris pulled himself back and their eyes met; Hana's grip on his shoulders loosened.

When she realized what they both had just done... or were almost going to do, she quickly got off of Kris's lap, picking up her heels and took a step back; she placed the back of her hand over her lips as she looked at him with shocked eyes.

He stared back at her with disbelieving eyes. The feel of her lips lingered around him for a long time, even as she had run off and left him there, alone once again.

His cold heart. Her warmth.

He swallowed hard and felt something rapidly beating over the side of his chest. He glanced to the side and saw the glass of the unfinished whiskey and picked it up, downing it in one go. The burn on his throat didn't change anything to his dismay and frustration. Get yourself together, Kris. He told himself as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees and his face buried in his hands.

Get it together. He breathed.

Hana found the comfort room and immediately went inside; he ran to the last cubicle and locked herself in. her heels fell to the ground and she clasped her hand on top of the other. Her tears had dried up on her cheeks; her eyes were still wide and her body was still in a state of shock.

The scene flashed back on her mind when she had shut her eyes closed. Kris... kissed me.

Kris Wu. CEO Kris Wu.

Her heart was racing inside her chest. Her mind was going blank and it was bad. She needed to focus on the party tonight yet Kris just had to go and do that. Hana... you'll be fine.

Just breathe. She told herself, taking her hands away from her lips and breathed thoroughly.

“Where's Hana?” Sehun asks after noticing that Kai was alone on the other side of the room, talking with some people. Chanyeol turned his head to where Kai was and confirmed it; he took a quick sip of his drink. “Is that champagne?” Luhan raises a brow at Chanyeol's drink and gives him a sigh “Yeol, you know you and alcohol don't mix well”

Chanyeol puckered his lips and drank up the liquid in one go “I know but because I wanted to fit in on the fancy mood, I ordered apple juice” he smiles and Sehun cracks up a small laugh while Luhan rolls his eyes at him. “There she is” Luhan spots Hana entering the room.

“Hana” Sehun calls and she jumps a little. Her eyes batted and she walked over to the three by one of the poker tables. “You look flustered, are you sick?” Chanyeol asks her. Hana shook her head and puts on a small smile “I'm fine, just a little tired” she uses the excuse again “Have you seen Kai?” Chanyeol moves aside to block her view.

“Ah no, why?” Hana bit her lower lip for a moment and looked around her “I ---”

Chanyeol's eyes lit up when he saw Kris “Kris!” he called and the said guy turned to look at his direction. He quickly waved him over. Hana stood frozen in her spot and didn't even turn around. She just stood there with her heart beating fast as if she had run a marathon.

“Where have you been?” Luhan questions him; Kris adjusts his bow tie before pocketing his hands yet again “I needed to air out my frustrations” he sighs. Hana spots Kai and gladness washed over her; she made a quick turn around “Excuse me, I have to talk to Kai” she smiles before hurriedly walking off. “What's with her?” Sehun wonders.

Kris.

I watched her as she walked off to go to Kai and almost immediately, my hands balled into fists inside my pockets. I don't know what's going on with me but one thing is for sure... I don't like her being around anyone else.

“Champagne, sir?” A waiter approaches the group and offers me his tray full of filled up glasses. I took one and downed it all on one go. I placed the empty glass back down on his tray before I walked off towards Kai and company. “Yah, Kris where are you going?” I hear Sehun call out; I only help up my hand and continued on my way.

Kai turned to her as soon as she had placed a hand on his arm. Tss. Kai smiled at her and how I wanted to knock off that smile on his face. He saw me at the corner of his eyes and turned to look at me “Kris!” and Hana seemed to have suddenly went stiff.

“Ah, Mr. Wu” Xiah Junsu of Cassiopeia Corporation smiles in my direction as I join the circle. I take my place next to Hana, who just kept looking forward. Ignore her, Kris. “Long time, no see, Mr. Xiah” I shake his hand. Out of the blues, I suddenly placed my hand on Hana's lower back and pushed her forward a bit “Have you met the Head of our Finance Department, Ms. Kim Hana?” She take a quick glance at me; even Kai did so too.

“Really? Well, by all means...” he held out his open palm and Hana places her hand on top of it. He places a kiss on the back of her hand. Damn it. My eyes squint a bit. “It's nice to meet you, Ms. Hana” he smiles towards her and she gives a small bow of the head. “Kai, I hope she's not another one of your girls” Yunho jokes.

Absurd. Kai chuckles and shook his head “Ms. Kim is ---” I clear my throat and pocket both of my hands “Off-limits” I finish the sentence and everyone, including Hana, turns to me with surprise in their eyes. “I believe workers are most efficient when they are single”

A small laugh comes from Hana “Ofcourse! It helps with the concentration. Strictly business” Are you trying to tell me something, flat chest? The conversation swerved into so many directions.

“Ah, would you please excuse us for a moment? Kris, can I talk to you?” Kai smiles towards me and I nod my head as we both leave the group and Hana. We went to a distance and I sighed “What is it?” Kai fished out his phone and showed me a text from his dad; He was being asked to catch a plane to Jeju. “And?” he gives me a smile “Can you drive Hana back home, tonight?”

My thoughts are blank for a moment. I blinked my eyes as I surged back into reality “Sure”

Kai chuckles “I knew it ~” he said in a teasing manner and I frowned. Did he use that text to experiment with something? “Knew what?” Kai breathes out and pockets his hand as he looks at me as if I was a newly finished puzzle “If you think I missed that little faint red spot on the side of her neck, think again” What. The. . “You and Hana got back almost at the same time” he chuckles. You little sly . I glared at Kai “What are you talking about?”

Kai shakes his head as if he was disappointed in me “I hope you didn't take it yet, hyung”

What the hell is this guy --- I swallow the sudden lump inside my throat. “Take what?”

“Tsk.” Kai laughs and pats my shoulder “I have to go now, I'll let Hana know... I was serious about driving her home, hyung” he walks past me and I turn around to look at him walking off. Halfway, he turns to look at me over his shoulder “If you plan on taking it tonight, atleast make it special” He tips.

So... she's a rare one.

The night ended; They nailed it. They have successfully grabbed the sweet answers of the investors and Hana was relieved. However, to her dismay, Kai had to leave early to catch a plane and so she was left to go home alone.

“Congratulations Hana” Kyungsoo smiled at her and she gave a bow of thanks. “Thank you Kyungsoo-ssi, wouldn't have done it without Mr. Zhang's help” she smiled at Lay who stood beside Kyungsoo. “But really, it was all you Hana” she chuckled. Hana looked back at the now almost empty venue. Their guests were impressed and had a good time and that was all that mattered to her. “What time is it?” she asks and Kyungsoo told her it was already two in the morning. She gives a deep breath of relief.

“Get some rest, Hana; you did well” Kyungsoo smiles at her. Hana flashes a tired smile and nods her head; Kyungsoo and Lay walked her to the exit. She was about to hail a cab when a white Audi stops infront of them; the two were surprised to find who was sitting on the driver's seat when Lay opened the door. “Get her in the car”

Lay raised a brow at him “Hana?”

Tss. “Who else?”

Hana tenses up. Kyungsoo gently guides her to the passenger seat of the car; she looks back at Lay and Kyungsoo; the two were just as equally surprised. Kyungsoo leans down and smiles at Kris “Take care of her, Kris”

Kris ignored him and told Hana to fasten her seatbelt; she did so as ordered with shaking hands and Kyungsoo closes the door. Kris then drove off and silence falls between them both. It was awkward. Tension was in the air. It was just... so uncomfortable... for Hana, atleast.

Hana keeps her eyes outside the window. She slowly notices the scenery slow down and soon the car stopped in the middle of an empty street; she looked forward to see if it was because of a red light but there was no intersection and moreover, there was no traffic light. Her heart began to race all of a sudden. Gulp.

The car's engine stopped. . No... Hana mentally cried.

“Ms. Kim...” he calls out as he leans back on his seat. “I want to ask you something”

Hana bit her lower lip “S-sir?”

Kris doesn't turn to look at her but instead closes his eyes as he also leans his head back.

“Do you want to forget?”

Hana turns to look at him, a little bit confused. “W-what?”

Kris starts the car's engine once again but doesn't press on the gas. He just sits there for a moment. “This road leads to two places... yours and mine” he pauses and Hana keeps on looking at him. “Your place coming first before mine... if you tell me to stop the car at your drop, we'll forget everything that happened tonight”

He began to drive. Hana looked forward once again. She could see her apartment building only three more blocks away and Kris drove at a fair speed to let her think;

Two more blocks.

Hana... she calls out to herself.

One more block.

Kris's grip on the steering wheel tightened.

Screech. The car came to a stop. Hana slowly opened her eyes; her chest rose up and down rapidly as she slowly turned to look at Kris.

“W-why'd you stop?” she asks.

Kris swallowed hard and asks her “Didn't you tell me to?”

Hana bit her lower lip for a moment. “I didn't”

Kris turned to her with confused eyes; he just stopped the car himself for no reason at all.

“I don't want to forget my first kiss” she mumbles.

This is the scene in your mind because you want Chapter 20 to be published, kekeke. or atleast that's what I think is on your mind :)
