CHAPTER 32

Kris was busy tapping replies on his phone as he entered Wu Enterprise. Employees here and there were giving him greetings but he returned not one, he just kept walking. He reaches the elevator and presses a button, quietly waiting for it to open as he tapped away some more replies.

Out of the blues, he felt a light bump on his side; frowning at the disturbance, he turns his head but only to be surprised when he saw a little girl looking up at him. What the ---

“Daddy?” He raises a brow, baffled by the word that the child had just called him. “Fang Yin!” Kris lifts his head and sees a woman running towards them. She sees Kris and immediately bows in apology for the trouble that the child had caused. “Look Mei, it's Daddy” the child points to him once again.

The woman looks down at the kid “Aigo, Fang Yin, that's not daddy”

“But it's Daddy!” The child insists. Ding. Kris doesn't take his eyes off the child. The woman continues to explain that he wasn't her Daddy but the young girl kept on insisting. “Sorry sir” the woman bows to him in apology again before taking the girl's hand and leads her away “But Mei that's Daddy!” she continues to insist as they both walk away.

Kris blinked his eyes. He turned back to the elevator and stepped in suddenly feeling uneasy.

Snap. Snap. Hana blinked her eyes and turned to Sonya “S-sorry” she apologizes for dazing off. Sonya breathes out a sigh and leans back on her own chair. “Is something wrong, Hana?”

“Kris Wu has never and I repeat never ever been inlove...”

She swallowed hard and shook her head in answer at the same time shaking the thoughts away. She gives Sonya a smile “I'm fine, just a little tired” she then sighs and rubs the back of her neck. A ringing sound suddenly fills the air and Snya takes her phone out from her bag, she excuses herself to answer a call and Hana gives her a nod, turning to the papers on her table while Sonya gets up and walks to the other side of the room.

“Hello?” She answers “Sorry to disturb you ma'am but Ms. Yang has been throwing tantrums”

Sonya lets out a sigh and runs a hand through her hair “Where is she?”

“We're at Wu Enterprise, downstairs” Sonya's eyes widened “What?” she hisses. “Why didn't you call me beforehand?”

“I'm really sorry ma'am; she said she's not leaving without you” Sonya sighs and brings a hand to her face “Alright, hold on for a minute” she pulls the phone away from her ear and turns back to Hana. “Uhm, Hana... I'm sorry but something has come up and ---” she was cut when the door busted open

“Mama!” a five year old ran inside, surprising Hana. A woman was running after the child which Hana supposed was the nanny. Hana stands up from her seat; the five year old wraps her arms around Sonya's legs in an embrace. “Oh my gosh, I am so sorry about this, Hana” Sonya turns to her.

Hana smiles brightly “No, it's okay” Sonya sighs and takes the child's arms off, bending down to her level “Fang Yin, what did mommy tell you about work?” the child pouts at her adorably “Don't disturb mommy”

Sonya smiles at the child and ruffles her hair. The five year old's face brightens once again and she smiles at Sonya “Mama, I saw Daddy! He's here!”

Hana tilts her head to the side. Here? “Aigo, Fang Yin...”

Sonya gets up to her feet again and the child takes her hand “Fang Yin, this is Ms. Kim Hana” she introduces the girl behind the desk. Hana smiles at the child and the child smiles back at her and bows introducing herself. Sonya gives a sigh “Sorry Hana; let's continue work tomorrow, okay?” Hana smiles and nods “Sure. It was nice meeting you Fang Yin-ssi” the little girl gives her a grin before turning to Sonya “Mama, come on! Let's go! I want ice cream!”

Grabbing her bag, Sonya bids Hana goodbye and makes her leave, the nanny following them behind.

The door closes and Hana smiles to herself. Cute kid.

Hana puffs out a breath, suddenly noticing the mess on her desk again and starts cleaning up. It was only two in the afternoon yet she still had a lot of work to do. She glances at the phone on her desk after putting back some folders in the drawer. Strange... Kris hasn't made a single call.

Ah well... atleast I can focus on --- Ring. Ring. Ring. She gives a sigh and closes the drawer. Too goo to be true. She picks up the phone “Hello?”

“Hey Hana, it's Sehun” Even so... she felt a tinge of disappointment. “Yes sir?”

“Just wanted to check if Sonya's still there” Hana shook her head “No sir, she went out early with her daughter” she explains. Sehun falls quiet on the other line.

“Daughter?” Hana rubs the back of her neck and sits down on her chair “Yeah” Hana smiles “Cute kid, too” Sehun clears his throat on the other line before speaking “Anyway, I need Kris to sign some papers, can you get them in my office? I'm kinda stuck in traffic”

“Alright, which papers?” she hears a faint sound of a car honking on the other end “The one's in the red folder, they're on my desk. Thanks Hana, gotta go” he then hung up. Hana puffs out a breath as she put the phone down and counts to five before hauling herself out of the chair.

Hana.

After getting the red folder, I made my way up to Kris's office and all of a sudden, the nervous feeling in my gut came. I don't know why I'm nervous again, I should get used to this.

But it's not as easy as they say it is... Sigh. The doors opened and I stepped out, taking the long walk through the hallway to the door at the end. My heels tacked on the well polished floor and it was the only sound I could hear. The air feels so thin here. I take notice. Eventually, I reach the door and raise my hand to knock, he gives me the go signal and step inside.

“Sir, Mr. Oh needs you to sign a document” she said, stopping just a foot away from his desk. Kris stops typing and closes his laptop before pushing himself off the leather chair and walks around his desk, wrapping his arms around me.

Once again, I'm caught by surprise. Budump. Budump. There goes my heart again. I swallow hard; he wasn't moving, he was just... hugging me. “S-sir ---”

“I just need this...” he breathes as he tightens his embrace, pulling me closer. Words were stuck on my throat and my heart was pounding so hard, I think it was punching his chest. I closed my eyes. It's actually... warm. My arms twitch a bit and soon, I lift them.

Kris.

“Daddy?”

No. I shook the thoughts away as a knock came on the door. “Come in” the knob turns and Hana appears; I felt an uneasy feeling grow in my stomach. She smiles at me “Sir, Mr. Oh needs you to sign a document”

I stop typing and I close my laptop before getting up and making my way over to her. I need to be at ease and this was only the best way I thought of... I wrapped my arms around her and she stiffens a bit, probably shocked by my sudden action but I don't care right now. I want to feel at ease.

“S-sir ---” No. Don't speak. I pull her closer “I just need this...” I mumble.

I want to forget everything, forget it ever happened, forget all the bad things and everytime I'm with her... it's possible. It's just her. She can make me forget the bad things with every smile she gives, she can make me go weak, she can make me feel warmth, she's the only one who has given me unfamiliar feelings.

Just her. I'm not letting you walk away again... never again.

I feel two arms make their way around my waist and the walls around me just fell to the ground. The walls that kept me in isolation, the walls that protected me, the walls that I was sure no person could ever break, crumbled and fell to pieces.

Kris... you're done for. I bit my lower lip. Yes. I am done for.

“Kris...”

This woman will be the death of you, Kris Wu. Laughs my subconscious but I feel satisfied at her call. Even the way she calls me feels different. “What?”

“Can you sign the papers now?” Sigh. I break off the –rather long- embrace and she smiles at me, holding up the red folder infront of her. I take the folder and peck her lips. She suddenly froze, her face turning red all so suddenly and I smile in amusement. Cute.

“Twenty-six more, Hana” I pinch her chin and she swallows hard, still frozen. I turn around, set the folder down on my desk and take my pen, scribbling my signature on top of my name and toss the pen aside. I grab the folder and turn back to her, holding it up. “Here”

Hana blinks her eyes, the redness never leaving her cheeks; she grabs the other end of the folder and pulls on it but I keep a firm grip. She pulls again and bits her lower lip, her brows narrowing a bit as her teeth sank on her bottom lip. “S-sir...”

I tug on the folder harshly and she stumbles forward, my other hand s around her waist and quickly, I placed another peck on her lips. She freezes once again and I release the folder.

“Twenty-five; see you at eight, Ms. Kim”

She takes the folder and hurriedly gets out of my office.

She's all you need, Kris. She's all you need.

Hana.

Kris Wu, what are you doing to me?

I bite back my lips as I lean against the door of my office, pressing the folder onto my pounding chest. Breathe Hana. Pheeewww. I push myself off the wooden door and walk to my desk, dropping the folder and slumping down on my chair. I prop my elbows on my desk, my hands grabbing my hair.

I close my eyes for a moment, trying to ease out my fast beating heart but it was no use.

“Hana ~ what's wrong with you?” I whine. Ugh. I need someone to talk to someone... I think for a moment and snap my fingers. I pick myself up form my chair and run out of my office.

Knock. Knock.

“Come in”

Hana opens the door and pokes her hand inside holding a cup of coffee. Kai chuckles and she pokes her head in with a smile; “Coffee?” she asks, walking inside, kicking the door close with her foot and walked towards the desk.

“Well, well, what brings you to my office?” Hana smiles as he accepts the cup of coffee she held out. She sat down on the chair infront of his desk, her smile going small. “Can I talk to you about something?” Kai takes a sip of the coffee. He nods his head as he leans back comfortable on his chair leaving work for a moment.

“Sure” Hana mentally sighs in relief and she hesitates for a moment. Go on Hana. She encourages herself and finally breaks open “H-How... Aish...” she bit her lower lip and look down for a moment. Kai raises a brow. “You're stammering, Hana”

She bit her lower lip and gather her thoughts for a moment.

“Okay...” she takes a deep breath “It's about... K-Kris”

Kai wasn't surprised, his brows furrowed. “What about him?”

Gulp. “I... I don't know” her shoulders fall. Kai takes another sip of the coffee “Well, I don't know what's my role in that but you said that you wanted to talk about it so... go ahead”

Hana looked like she was having a hard time, so Kai gave her a smile “My lips will be sealed, Kris will never know what you're gonna say within these four walls...” Hana looks at him with a hint of doubt and he adds “Promise”

She gives a sigh.

“I...”

“Xiumin told me that Kris has never fallen inlove before... until now and Xiumin said it's me” Kai looked amused but he let her continue “I don't wanna get my hopes to high, Kai. I mean, he's Kris Wu... he's my boss, he's a person of high class, he's far too perfect, he's flawless and he's out of my league”

Kai gives a sigh “You look down on yourself too much, Hana” he puts down the cup on his desk “Kris is just like any other guy, okay? He can fall for anyone but” he pauses and stands up, walking around his desk “It takes someone really special to warm a heart as cold as Kris Wu's” he leans against the mahogany desk.

“And you, Ms. Kim Hana, have done what people thought was impossible but I have a feeling that's not really the problem here” he gives a playful smiles, crossing his arms. Hana swallows hard. “You know...” he started sensing she wasn't going to say anything more “You need to let go... it won't be so bad; I mean, sure there's always the possibility of getting hurt but Hana” he walks towards her and bends down, placing his hands on top of hers “Falling inlove is an amazing experience”

Hana smiles and it eventually turns to a laugh “And I'm hearing this from the rumored Casanova?”

Kai smirked “You came to the rumored Casanova's lair but hey, even I have a heart” Hana breathes out and Kai stands up, she did aswell.

“Thanks Kai” she then turns on her heel and left the premises. Kai puffs out a breath and sits back down on his chair, once again alone. Lucky. He smiled at the thought.

The deadline has been moved because of the earthquake that hit here... so, I updated and I will finish my plates tomorrow! :) Whoever is from the Philippines, specifically Cebu, please take care you guys and don't forget to pray :) BTW, Happy Birthday to Fishy Hae!
