The Revival of Time
The producers and filming crew were rushing about the place as words were shouted across the studio. The filming set for ‘Liar Game’ was like that of an ant hole, people were rushing here and there, trying to get their jobs done well.
“Gyuri, be on standby please.” The assistant director came up to her as she left her seat and headed onto the set.
“Okay, everyone please be quiet. Thank you. And starting in 3, 2, 1, ACTION!” The clipboard snapped as Gyuri took the spotlight with her lines.
Being alone in a Japan was the worst thing ever, well, excluding the company of her new manager, Sang Bum. Donghyun was stuck in Korea with Cosy. It was all work and no fun at all without people that she knew well. It was her first day on set as well and she has yet to introduce herself to her costars. What’s more was that the drama would start airing in mid-April and it was already the beginning of April, this meant she had to work her off to make sure the drama was aired on schedule.
Eventually after hours of filming, everyone was dismissed to go home for a rest and be back at 8am the next morning.
“Aish. What’s the point when it’s like 1am now!? And I didn’t even get to have my dinner!” Gyuri muttered under her breath as she looked for the keys in her bag to unlock the door to her dorm.
The company rented a dorm for her in Japan but she was living alone. Gyuri didn’t mind being alone once in a while. But LIVING alone was a whole different story, especially being in a place she wasn’t exactly familiar with, that included her dorm. She was scared crapless of the supernatural. She hated it when Cosy dragged her to the cinema to watch a horror movie with her, it was a waste of money on her really. Why? Because she spent 90% of the screentime covering her face with her jacket. Yes, she was a complete scaredycat when it came to the creepy things like that.
Thank God she has Taec for that now. Gyuri thought as she found the keys and inserted them into the lock. I don’t wanna be alone in there! It’s so creepy, how am I gonna get any sleep? Gyuri mentally cried to herself as she twisted the key and unlocked the door.
I wouldn’t even mind if Sang Bum had to share the dorm with me! I just don’t wanna be all alone. Gyuri started humming 2NE1’s ‘Lonely’ as she opened the door, trying to distract herself from the shadows at every corner of the living room.
As she flipped the switch of the living room on, she got attacked by a chunk of muscle and was pushed against the hard wall. Gyuri’s heart immediately went into overdrive and her immediate reaction was to shut her eyes and let out an ear-piercing scream. Unfortunately her scream was being muffled by said person’s hand. “Please don’t me, please don’t me! Oh my gosh, I’ll give you anything you want! Even my favourite BigBang T-shirt that Jiyong oppa smeared chocolate all over!”
But all she heard was a laugh and she slowly opened one eye. Once she caught sight of who it was her cheeks flushed to a deep red.
“Youngbae o-oppa. What are you doing here?” Gyuri asked, trying to divert her eyes away, completely taken a back. And embarrassed.
“Can’t I visit my girlfriend?” Taeyang’s eyes curved upwards, forming an eyesmile.
“I just didn’t expect it. And and... what kind of reaction would you expect if someone launched at you in the dark at 1am IN YOUR OWN DORM?!” Gyuri pouted and pushed Taeyang away as she walked to the sofa and slumped into it.
“Alright, alright. I’m sorry, I just wanted to give you a surprise.” Taeyang said, concern clear in his eyes, as he made his way over to her. “Gwenchana?”
“Ne. But oppa, don’t you have schedule? And how did you get in here?”
“We just finished recording for the album and Hyunsuk hyung decided to give us a break before we release the first single. Plus, I missed you and well, hyung thought that it’d be a good idea to create buzz again. Y’know both for you, with your new drama, and me and the guys, with the new album. And I met up with your new manager while you were filming, good job by the way. ”
Gyuri nodded her head in understanding with a smile on as Taeyang sat next to her. She laid her head down on his shoulder and closed her eyes, “I missed you too oppa.”
“But, where are you staying?” Gyuri’s eyes went wide open once again as she stared at Taeyang.
“Well, the rest of the guys are here too actually, an all expenses paid trip from hyung, so we’re staying in a hotel. Why?”
“Oh, that’s great then. Uhm... Weell... Do you mind staying the night with me?” She bit down on her bottom lip, starring at him with hope in her eyes. “I mean, you don’t have to... It’s just that.. This is going to make me sound like a kid but I’m afraid of staying here on my own.. So..”
“Y-yeah, sure..” Taeyang scratched the back of his neck as Gyuri squealed in joy. “Just let me text Jiyong.”
Taeyang laid on the bed, starring at the ceiling. The guys are going to freak when they hear about this. He pulled out his phone and texted Jiyong, citing that he was going to spend the night with Gyuri and not to worry about any hanky-panky things going on.
His phone buzzed a few seconds later.
You better not, it’s against the law. Gyuri is still underaged :P Wouldn’t want you to get into a lawsuit! -Jiyong
Taeyang rolled his eyes and felt Gyuri cuddle up to him, his cheeks turning into a deep crimson red. Gyuri noticed and let out a giggle, she still couldn’t help but go all fangirl in her mind whenever he was around.
“Oppa, thanks for staying the night with me.” Gyuri smiled.
Taeyang simply nodded, still unable to deal with the fact that he was sharing a bed with a female. He was completely speechless.
And what Gyuri did next left him totally mind blown. [BLOW YOU MIND!~ MR SIMPLE!~]
She kissed him, on the lips, he felt himself floating off to cloud nine. This went on for a bit before he remembered Jiyong’s text, and he pulled away. Gyuri blushed.
“Uhm, you’ve got an early schedule tomorrow.. don’t wanna be late for it.” She nodded her head at this and they exchanged ‘Goodnights’ before falling into a deep sleep in each other’s arms.
“Okay. That pose was good. Give me a more y look. Yes. A bit more.” The photographer instructed as he snapped away furiously on his camera as Cosy continued posing for her new mini album cover as well the album art within.
“Great work! Next outfit!” The photographer said as Cosy was rushed to the fitting room to change into her next outfit for the album photocards.
After a few hours of posing for the camera, the photoshoot was finally over at 6PM but that didn’t signal the end of the day for Cosy as Donghyun drove her back to the company.
“Babe. You look pretty with make-up.” Taecyeon said as Cosy walked into the recording room.
“Are you saying that I don’t look pretty without make up?” Cosy rolled her eyes as she dropped her bag into the producer’s seat and sat on the chair.
A pair of hands slid over her shoulders and hugged her from the back as the husky voice whispered to her ear.
“You look the prettiest when you wake up in my arms.” Cosy grinned as Taecyeon then pecked her on the cheeks.
“Babe. I won’t make things easier for your recording. Go in now.” Cosy smirked as she signalled Taecyeon to go into the recording room.
“Can’t the two of you just be a bit more sensitive to the single here?” Jaesung who was seating in the other producer’s chair said as he faked a shiver in response to all the mushiness.
“Sorry, oppa. But we aren’t called the Cheesy couple in JYPE for nothing.” Cosy flashed a smile as she turned her focus back onto Taecyeon in the recording room.
Just as she was about to start, ‘Mr Simple’ started playing and Cosy mouthed a sorry to both Taecyeon and Jaesung as she picked up her phone.
“Yeoboseyo?”
“Cosy-ah. I just sent a music file to your email. It’s for Wondergirls’ next song that would be released in September. Can you see if you can write lyrics to it?” JYP’s voice came from the other line.
“Okay sure. JY oppa. I am in the midst of recording ‘My Ear Candy’. I will try to get the lyrics out by...” Cosy paused as she turned to Donghyun to ask him which day was better which he mouthed ‘Friday’.”Friday? I will meet you on Friday at 2PM(LMAO, anyone thinking what I was thinking?)?” Cosy continued as Donghyun nodded at her.
“Okay then. I expect something good from you. Have fun recording! I might pop by later.” JYP said
“Sure sure. Thanks. Bye!” Cosy said and hung up the line and placed the headphones on.
“What happened?” Taecyeon asked through the recording microphone as Cosy received the message through her headphones.
“Nothing much. Let’s start now.” Cosy said as she pressed a button on the equaliser and the song started playing.
It’s going to be a long night. Oh how true that statement is.
Gyuri’s phone alarm went off at 6am as she fidgeted and felt an arm on her waist and almost screamed but realised that it was just Taeyang.
“Hmmm..you have to leave now?” Taeyang tightened his grip on Gyuri from the back and whispered into her ear with a sleepy voice.
“Mianhe oppa. I have to prepare to go for my filming now.” Gyuri stated as she attempted to remove Taeyang’s hands from her waist.
“It’s okay. I am awake as well. I’ll cook breakfast for you.” Taeyang said as he sat up on the bed, rubbing his eyes while Gyuri proceeded to the bathroom.
As Gyuri stepped under the shower and allowed herself to wake up from her half unconscious state, her mind started processing what happened before she was fully awake. Wait. Did Youngbae oppa just say that he will cook breakfast? AISH! Gyuri quickly finished her shower in record time, dressed herself and ran into the kitchen to see Taeyang about to pour the beaten eggs into a non non-stick pan without oiling the pan first.
“OPPA! STOP!” Gyuri shouted just before Taeyang could do what he was planning to do. Gyuri snatched the bowl of beaten eggs from him and placed it down on the kitchen counter, opened the cabinet and took out the oil, pouring a bit into the pan.
“Oppa, this pan isn’t non-stick.” Gyuri said as she started making scrambled eggs.
“Mianhe. I didn’t know.” Taeyang said, scratching the back of his head, Gyuri giggled lightly at this. The microwave oven gave a beep sound and Taeyang went over to take the baked sausage out of the oven. Gyuri got worried and decided to take a fork and poke it to see if it was cooked.
“Well.. at least the sausage is cooked, I guess.” Gyuri stated as she popped one piece into . “Hmm.. not bad actually.”
“Oppa, why not you go take a shower while I whip up breakfast? Go go go!’ Gyuri said, pushing Taeyang out of the kitchen. Since the human sun was gone, Gyuri finished up the scrambled eggs, fried harshbrowns, placed the bread into the toaster and ta-da! A complete American breakfast! Thank God I got As for Home Economics in the ‘Past’. Gyuri thought as she bit down on a piece of harshbrown.
Gyuri laid the table with 2 plates of food and took out her iPhone, snapping a photo of the breakfast on Instagram and uploaded it onto Twitter with the caption ‘Breakfast with the SUN before filming later. Glad that he is in Japan with me. <3”.
