True Feelings?
First Impressions, Permanent or Not?
First Impressions, Permanent or Not?
“Jaejoongshi,” she slowly began. “Because I’m fond of you I want to be honest with you. I have Mina and she’s my world right now. I like you. I really do,” she chuckled a bitterly, a vain attempt to break the oddness between them now. “But I don’t want to push her away if we were to be in a relationship.”
Jaejoong stared at her intently, his brows furrowing a bit. “Jenhee,” his voice was huskier than before. “I wouldn’t ever do that. I like you. I also like Mina. I like the two of you,” he smiled softly. “I would like to get to know the two of you better. I wouldn’t ever push Mina away from you.”
Jenhee tried to gulp down tears that threatened to fall out. “Mian-” she began.
“You hurt my feelings,” he joked with a false pout. Jenhee smiled softly back at him, but a few tears of both relieve and embarrassment slipped out. “but in all seriousness, I mean it.” He then slowly reached over to Jenhee and gently wiped away her tears.
“Kamsamnida,” she whispered before Jaejoong did something that silenced her apologies and confusions. He reached over to her and embraced her tightly.
“Don’t apologize, don’t cry, just, just be you.” He smiled as he held her, “I don’t want to bring pain to you. I want to bring more happiness, both to you and Mina.”
Jaejoong slowly separated himself from her and stared straight into her eyes. She was about to say thank you, but Jae read her mind and quickly stopped her from saying anything, “No apologies, no thank yous either.”
She laughed at his oddness before asking, “Then…now what?”
“Hmm…” he thought for a second. The pause didn’t last long and when an idea came his eyes brightened up. “A day in the life of Jenny and Mina.”
She laughed as she shook her head, paused, and then turned to him. “Are you sure that’s what you really want?”
“Mm,” he nodded, sure of his decision.
“It won’t be easy.”
“I suspect.”
“You can’t go back on your word later.”
“I won’t.”
“Arasso,” she smiled as she looked over him incredulously. “Come on,” she smiled as she stood up from the park bench where they sat together.
