How I met your Mother -part 2-

Kris suddenly entered the room.

"Heya everyone."

"You came early today? Minseok oppa let you go?" Ronica looked at him.

"We had less work today. So I rushed to see my cutie son. How is he today...? hmm...??" And he tickled

him.

"Your son is doing well." Dingxiang replied.

"That's nice. And what are you guys doing?" He asked, looking at Soojung.

"Ronica unnie is telling her love story."

"Reall? So what did you tell her? All from the beginning?"

Ronica nodded her head. Kris then sat beside her, putting his arms around her shoulder.

"She just told me that she had fallen for you the moment she saw ya...!!" Soojung smiled. Ronica blushed.

"Really....?? Why did you lie to me when I had asked you?" He kind-off glared at Ronica.

"I was just joking. I did actually fall for you. It was love at first sight."

"You know what Soojung, your unnie here was my friend with benefit."

"Why...??"

"Hmm..she used to come to my house everyday you know. Sometimes she would bring food. My house was

on the to her office, she would give me lift too. But then I slowly started liking her. She became my all time

friend, someone closer than Baekhyun."

"Waahh..then..then...what happened...?? How did you propose her?" Soojung asked Kris.

"I had changed my job in the middle. In the beginning I was working in some other company but then her

company had a better a salary for the same work so I shifted to their company. It was one of the most

important and life-changing decision. I realized she too liked me when I took Baekhyun's place in her car and

she did not object."

"Meaning? I don't get it." Soojung looked slightly confused. Ronica was sitting and blushing.

"It was like we used to go to office in her car, since all of us were in the same company and our houses were

nearby. Baekhyun being her bestie used to sit beside her in the front. I was the stranger who sat behind. One

day I purposely sat in front, with her, And she did not object. After that I used to sit there everyday and I still

do."

"Ohk..ohk...now proposal. How did you do that?" She was getting impatient.

"Office ball. In the Christmas night our office had organized a ball. All the employees had to dress in formals.

And she looked deadly that night. We were all dancing in turns...that thing in dramas no...when the girls make

a circle and the boys another and all get a chance to dance with the other one? That one."

"Ya..got it. So you were dancing with her."

"No...I wasn't. She was standing exactly opposite to me, with my arch rival, Baekhyun."

"Woah..that's interesting....then...."

KRIS POV

Ronica chose Baekhyun once again against me. What was wrong with her? I had been trying to ask her out

since the past month and the only thing she did was give all her attention to Baekhyun. And she did it once

again.

"The music starts now. Please enjoy the night." Came the announcer's voice and the music started. I was

standing with Victoria, another chinese employee. The look she had on her face was like she would swoon

and fall to the ground. I was the apple of the eye to all female employees except Ronica.

The music started and I stepped away from staring at Victoria. Was she actually drooling over me?

Ohh..please no.

One by one all girls came and went. But my eyes were trained at Ronica. The way she danced, she looked

like a pro. Her body swayed beautifully with the music. In between her switches, she sometimes looked at

me and smirked. I wondered what was that for.

It was not much late that she was right beside me, dancing with Sehun, the tall new employee of our office.

She had told once or twice that she actually liked how he looked. Jealosuy was bubbling again in my heart.

When the heck would she be in my arms?

And then came the moment.

The music changed and she was in MY arms.

When Ronica took her stance and started dancing, I stared at her, straining my eyes at her.

"What happened?" She asked, curious.

"Why did you choose Baekhyun as your partner when they told took to take positions?"

"Do you owe you an answer? Am I obliged to you in anyways?"

"Why is it always other men, other than me Ronica?" I knew she was testing my patience tonight.

"I give equal attention to all men. You are no exception. See, I danced with all, and I am dancing with you

too."

And then she turned around, her gown flowing beneath. I pulled her closer, into my arms, her chest touching

mine. My ear went to her ear.

"I love you Ronica, and I don't share the people I love."

Ronica stood there for a while, not dancing, not taking the next step required. I kept on moving with the

rhythm.

"Stupid dance, or we will fall behind." I said. Ronica came out of her daze.

"So, will you date me?" She kept quite. But kept on dancing, moving her feet skillfully. She was looking into

my eyes, as if they were speaking for her.

The music became slower, and the dance was going to end now. As they all were going to end the dance, I

pull Ronica closer, into my arms, and slowly kiss her, entering . Without any objection, her lips

parted for me to enter. She took in the beat of my lips and that was it. The room darkened, hiding our little

romance. Before the lights switched on...

"I accept it." Ronica smiled and blushed before we parted ways.

"WOW....!!" Soojung's moouth was a wide 'O'.

"That was so freaking romantic. Sooo..soo...nice."

"This is the reason why the proposal is so speacial to me. It is the closest to my heart. I had lost it you know.

It was the best ever." Ronica said, smiling. Kris' fingers entwined her hands and he held it tighter.

"Marriage was something much smoother. We had realized each other's value in our lives and that we were

made for each other. One day suddenly on the way home he pulled me to a restuarant and gave me this."

Ronica showed a small diamond ring in her finger.

"Our families had nothing to object about. We had a peaceful wedding and you can see my family today."

Kris told Soojung.

"Ouch...." Ronica suddenly shouted.

"What happened?" Kris asked, very concerned.

"Nothing the baby kicked. Seems like even she enjoyed listening to our love story."

All of them laughed.
