Baby Blues...

Kris had taken a two month holiday from office to take care of Ronica and the baby. Ronica had been put to

complete bed rest after the birth of Meifin. Although she wanted to go around a little and work, Kris did not even

allow her to get up. He took care of everything all by himself, but...hmm...he kinda succeeded.

"Morning Ronica...!!"

"Hmm...good morning." Ronica just got up from sleep. Kris was standing there with a plate full of food. There was

toast, a glass of milk and eggs to eat with the bread. Well, Ronica did not object except for drinking milk, which she

hated.

"There you go, your breakfast is ready. I made all of this. I want you to eat and also the milk."

"Please..Kris...not the milk. I can't have that."

"But you have to. How much nutrients you will gain and..."

"Kris not again. I know milk has a lot of nutrients but I don't want to have it. Give it to Meilin. She will have it. You

want to make me sick or what ?"

"Fine..fine...but atleast have a little bit. The doctor said. It's not me. A little bit won't harm you."

"Okay...I will have it. But I will have a little okay. Not more than that."

Kris cooked the whole time, while Ronica, while taking rest, helped the kids in their studies. She gave them full

attention. The kids only wanted to be around Meilin. Meifin was too excited to touch her and take her into her laps

and Dingxiang was being that usual protective elder brother warning and scolding Meifin.

"Omma...can you explain this sum to me?" Meifin came running to me.

"See...you need to write before and after in it. This is the number...you need to write the number that comes before

it. Like 5 is given here so what comes before 5..??”

When Ronica turned around, she was already busy playing with Mellin.

“Meifin….I am teaching here…you are playing with her…!!”

“Omma…she is so cute…!! Can I take her in my lap…please…??”

“Meifin…she is sleeping sweetheart….I can’t give her in your lap now.”

“Omma…please….!!”

“No…not now. When she wakes up, I will give her to you.”

She whined and whined till Ronica got tired but she did not give Meilin to her. Ronica realized it was high time she

had to be stricter with the kids.

Dingxiang also found moments here and there to grab a kiss from his new little sister or cuddle her or hug her. But

being elder, he did not whine or cry, he simply came when she was awake.

Ronica and Kris too had tired morning and nights. Meilin was under Ronica’s care in the day time and Kris when it

was night, except for the feeding part. He also took up the most yuckiest job of babies, that was to change her

diaper.

“uhhhnnnhnh…..uhhnhnh….waaahhhnnn…!!” and there Meilin started again. It was 2 at night when she woke up,

crying.

“What happened….?? My koochi-koo…little sweetheart…what makes her cry now?” Kris was the first one to

take her in his arms when she started crying.

“I fed her just now. She can’t be crying because she is hungry.”

Kris was singing to her to stop her from crying.

“She is hot. You covered her too much again, Ronica. She can’t sleep like that. I know it’s winter, but she needs to

breathe no.” And he scolded Ronica. Well, it was not her fault since Meifin used to like being covered up and when

they did not do so, she caught light fever.

He laid her on the bed and then changed her clothing, putting her on lighter clothes. Meilin now looked happy and

comfortable.

“There you go..my sweet little pie is ready to go to sleep again. Want to sleep with papa…in between….?? “ And

then he tickled Meilin’s tummy. She chuckled.

And then laying the baby down on the bed and not the crib and patted her to sleep. It did not take her much time.

And then Ronica and Kris both slept.

This way they had a tiring first week with the new-born.

Kyungsoo, their neighbor and Kris’ veryclose friend, stopped by once in a while to help Kris cook. He owned a

little Italian restaurant in Seoul and was a lovely cook. Kris being inspired from him, had started cooking. Well, he

was not that bad. Ronica knew he had the basic sense of cooking. But then, he himself got bored with what he

cooked.

“See…first you need to leave the spaghetti in water. Then while the thing is boiling, make the sauce at the side. First

put butter…then put the onions and garlic..cook it…”

And they went on with the cooking. At last, a lovely dish of spaghetti was made, although the spaghetti had

over-cooked a little. But it was fine.

“Here for you madam…restaurant style spaghetti.” Kris served it with style.

“Really…??” Ronica picked it up with her chopsticks and looked at it properly. It looked and smelled lovely, but

she was a little scared to eat it, not trusting her hubby.

“It’s nice noona…I just had a spoonful.” And then she took a bite of it.

“Woah….Kris…it’s lovely. Kyungsoo you taught him well.”

“Kyungsoo…?? Ronica….I cooked it..not him. You can’t give him the credits like that.”

“But he taught you no…then..?? If you were so sure with your cooking, you wouldn’t have called him.”

“Ronica. This is soo freaking mean.”

Kris got upset easily that day, but Ronica was actually joking. She loved teasing her hubby. Kyungsoo stood there

and laughed.

He taught him some more basic regular cooking and also some special food so that he could cook it for his family.

A/N RonRoxx :- Well...really sorry for such a late update. My exams are here...in 2 weeks time and it's high time I start study. so I have....and therefore no update...!!! I might update once in 2 weeks now...sorry for that..!! and then I have other stories to also take care of. So please be patient.
