It had been a week that Dingxiang had been diagnosed with meningitis. His condition had improved a lot since then.

But Ronica was being stubborn. Kris was telling her to stay away from Dingxiang, since he was sick and she might

also catch the disease but no. Although it was not her fault, which mother in the world could stay away from her sick

son?

She went to the hospital everyday, instead of spending her time at home resting. She would rest there, beside

Dingxiang. Kris joined them in the evening, coming straight from office. Then both of them left together to go home.

Sometimes, Kris brought Meifin with him too.

The best thing was Dingxiang’s nurse was a lovely young girl, whom they trusted and believed a lot. She was lively

and extremely caring. She also loved Dingxiang and took care of him like friend. Her name was was Jung Soojung.

“How are you ma’am?” She welcomed Ronica with a huge smile when she entered.

“I am good and how is my son?” Ronica went and pinched his nose.

“Omma….hajima.” Dingxiang never liked it.

“ A week went by so fast unnie. It seems as if Dingxiang was admitted just yesterday. Your son is very strong and

so are you. I wonder how you manage everything after being 6 months pregnant and you also have 2 kids.”

“Well, I have to manage. Having a erted husband is difficult you know. It has it’s own consequences.” She

winked.

“Ya….unnie, I am really jealous of you, you know. You have such a lovely person as your husband. I wanted to

hear your story. How did you guys meet? I too want a such a lovely man as my husband you know.”

“Hmm…that’s a long story actually.”

“Unnie…jebal. Please tell, you will be leaving tomorrow, then I will never see you again.”

“Ok..fine, I am telling you. See it was....I think…”

8 Years ago…. (Ronica POV)

‘Baekhyun-ah….wait.” I was frantically running behind Baekhyun.

“Ronica, you always lag behind. Can’t you walk any faster?”

“Shut up Baekhyun. Just try and walk this fast wearing high heels, you will know then.”

“Ok..I am sorry, now hurry. Lunch time will soon get over and then I won’t be able to meet him.”

“Who is coming to meet you anyways?”

“My darling best friend, he is a friend of mine from China. Remember, when I had gone for the exchange

programme?”

“Hmm…yes.”

“I met him then. He was my roommate. And then we became very close friends. He has just got a job here and

wants help in settling down here in Seoul.”

“Ohh…!! Ohk…okay.”

Soon we were at the café. I went inside, following Baekhyun. He looked around and then waved his hands. The

person was sitting far, near the window. I could not see his face clearly. Baekhyun went to him.

“Hey dude. How have you been? It’s so nice to meet you again.” They hugged each other. I awkwardly sat beside

him.

“It’s been a long time you know. I missed ya.” The person across the table had a heavy voice. He was tall, and was

wearing formals. EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE.

“Kris, this is Ronica. I told ya …my best friend. She is the one.”

“Annyeonghasaeyo….” I bowed down to him.

“Annyeonghasaeyo……I am Wu Yi Fan. My dear once calls me Kris. Nice to meet you.”

I was sitting there quietly drooling at his looks. How can a person be this handsome, that too with such a voice?

I was still dreaming when his cell-phone rang. And then he started speaking in flawless, unaccented English.

I had totally fallen for this guy.

Lunch time was soon over and then we had to leave. Baekhyun was rushing once again. When he slowed down, I

started asking him about Kris.

“He is so freaking handsome. You never told me that you had such a handsome friend.”

“Am I not handsome?’ He pouted.

“Of course, you are. But he was breathtaking.”

That evening, Baekhyun once again dragged me with him to help him shift to a new apartment in Seoul. This time I

struck a conversation with him. He was friendly, actually super friendly. I got to know that our choices and hobbies,

most of them were same. We were actually very compatible. We were there all evening.

“It seems to me that he also has taking a liking towards you.”

“Hmm..why do you think so?”

“Didn’t you see how he was talking to you? He is actually very shy with girls. And then he was continuously asking

me about you.”

“Really…??”

“Yea…!!” Baekhyun said with a smile.

“And then…what happened? How did you two get closer?”
