I remember the first time I slept in the same bed with him. I had wrapped my arms around him and he was sleeping peacefully. I swear I stayed up all night staring at his beautiful face but when I woke up, he wasn't there. He was taking a shower. I slipped into the bathroom and called out his name. He opened the curtain and smiled. He was beautiful. He was and always has been. He asked me to join him so I did. I got inside and just wrapped my arms around his waist. He was pretty thin and I was astounded by his lithe frame.

I paused, looking up at the woman sitting across from me. Her brown hair was pulled back into a tight bun, her calculating eyes were hidden behind thick glasses and she was scribbling notes down in her little book, humming as she did. I knew she didn't care about me or my feelings. She was being paid to listen to me complain about my childhood, about being bullied, abusive siblings. Cliché .

She looked up from behind her book, saying stoically, “Continue.”

I rolled my eyes as soon as her gaze was back on that damned book.

We were inlove and-

“Tell me about your childhood. Maybe that's where your issues lie.”

I told you, she thinks my childhood was bad so now she's going to make me talk about it. I droned, “What do you want me to say? Lie? Say it was terrible and I was bullied as a child because I wasn't.”

She looked back up, her stare piercing my very being. She ground out, “No, that's not what I'm trying to do. I just want to know about your childhood.”

“No, your trying to waste my time but getting me to talk about pointless and then I'll have to come back for more unnecessary sessions so you get paid.” It was harsh but it was true. I can read this lady's intentions like a freaking book.

This was gonna be a long session.
