Jiyeon’s friends rushed into the emergency room as soon as they got a call from one of the Infinite members. Hyomin almost crashed into Woohyun as soon as she caught the sight of him, panting and trying to catch her breath. “Jiyeon, where is she?” Woohyun shook his head, unable to produce a single sentence. Hyomin continued to stare intently at him. "I don't know. She’s been in there for almost three hours now”, he exclaimed. Hyomin couldn’t help but to ask what happened. Just when Woohyun was about to tell her, the doctor burst through the doors of the operation room and Eunjung grabbed onto his arm impulsively. “How is she? Did she make it? Please tell me she did”, Eunjung couldn’t help but cry at the thought of that. Sunggyu stepped forward and put his arms around her, soothing her. “Noona, calm down.” “So how is she doctor?”, L stepped forward and ask, hoping for an answer that he was expecting. The doors swung open again and this time a sedated Jiyeon was brought out. The rest quickly gathered around her as L remained standing still, right in front of the doctor, awaiting his answer. The doctor calmly replied as he removed his face mask. “She would be fine, although the cut in her abdomen was quite deep, I must say she really is a strong girl. Usually with an injury like that, a person would have gone into coma for at least a few weeks.” “That means she’s going to be fine right?”, L clasped his hands together. Woohyun and Hyomin stood behind L as they too listened to their conversation. “Yes, if she recuperates fast, then within a week’s time she could already be discharged”, the doctor replied and patted him on the shoulder before walking away. “Thank goodness she’s going to be fine! Aish she knows how to scare the hell out of me”, Hyomin mumbled as she placed a hand to her heart.       "L?", Jiyeon’s voice sounded hoarse and her vision was blur. Her hands gently move to touch his as he stared into her eyes. His eyes seemed hollow. "I—I'm alright now, you should loosen up”, she swallowed thickly. L still didn’t say anything. "Once I get out of here, we can continue watching that horrible movie marathon you've planned that we’ve never got to finish watching, how about that?" His lips twitched a little and there was this small spark in his eyes. "That sounds nice." "Okay?" She brushed a stray of hair away from his face. "Okay," he agreed slowly as his gaze never left her face. Her head hurt like hell. She blinked, because the hospital light was too blinding and she groaned, covering her eyes with her right arm. "You know, it's weird how you fast you got conscious. To think that your injury was more serious than I thought", L said. She resisted the urge to grin as she uncovered her eyes and saw him sitting casually on the chair beside her bed. “Shouldn’t you feel glad? Why do you sound like you were complaining?”, she sulked. "Of course I’m glad", he said in a serious tone. "And I never want you to ever place yourself in danger again. What
