“That's going to be really painful tomorrow”, Hyomin mumbled. Jiyeon saw Hyomin sitting on the edge of her bed. "Unnie…", Jiyeon’s voice petered out as Hyomin touched her right legs which made Jiyeon flinched. Hyomin immediately stopped and backed away. "Who did this to you?", Hyomin whispered, her voice nearly breaking with anguish. "Who hurt you like this, Jiyeon-ah?” She knew that her word hurt meant another meaning. Jiyeon’s shoulders slumped as she let out a shuddering sigh. At the same time, she felt contented that Hyomin is growing concerned about her. Despite her deal when she said she wanted Jiyeon to stay away from her, after this incident, she couldn’t help but to approach her instead. She couldn’t bear to see her favourite dongsaeng suffer like this and she didn’t want because of that childish matter that they were fighting. Jiyeon had yet to look her in the eye, which was most unusual for her.   "Jiyeon?" "It’s L. I think I’ve fallen in love with him but I can’t let my feelings run through me because I’m with Kris oppa now." “What?!”, Hyomin shrieked. She lets out a slow breath. She was doing her best to hold down her fury at this matter. The last thing she needed was more anger. Once she knew that she had her anger under control, she started questioning Jiyeon. “Then why did you accept him in the first place?” “There’s another thing you need to know as well”, Jiyeon bit her lip, afraid how Hyomin would react to her next. “Before Kris confessed, I confessed to L that I liked him.” “You what?”, Hyomin stood up and dishevelled her hair, “Don’t you know he has a girlfriend? And what do you think he’ll do after hearing that? Break up with Suzy and go to you? How stupid can you be? The least you could do is to wait till they break up.” Hyomin was firing up.  She couldn’t believe that Jiyeon had done something she herself would not have. “I admit that I'm stupid, but after hearing what he said before, about confessing to the person you like is better than never, no matter what the circumstances it was”, all those thoughts flashed though Jiyeon’s mind as she took a deep breath and looked at Hyomin. Hyomin barked a harsh laugh. "I thought you saw what happened when Woohyun tried doing that. Now look what happened to all of our friendship. And I didn't like that one bit and it broke my heart even more.” A tear slowly trickled down Hyomin’s cheek, quickly followed by another one. Hyomin’s heart clenched upon remembering that, feeling dejected. “You like Woohyun oppa?” "I thought I didn’t like him. But after seeing how close the both of you were, it just…started to grow in me.” “Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I could’ve helped you”, Jiyeon sat upright. “So that was why you were acting indifferent all these while.” Hyomin sat back down as she looked down. “I’m sorry Jiyeon for giving you the cold treatment when you were clueless. It was my entire fault”, Hyomin apologized. “I’m part to blame too because I was oblivious to this. I should’ve realized it earlier”, Jiyeon blamed herself and realized she didn’t really paid attention to anything that time. “So now you’re no longer single. Till when were you planning to hide it from us?”, Hyomin changed the topic, trying to lighten the mood up. “I was going to but couldn’t find the right time.” “Now tell me, do you really like Kris? Because I don’t want you hurting him when you realize later that you can’t be with him.”   Jiyeon sighed. “I don’t know. But I’m going to try. After all, I used to go crazy about him in the past. I gave him a second chance. So I’m going to go along, and pretend that I never said anything stupid to L.” Hyomin smiled at Jiyeon.  That was why she envied her, she could be so optimistic about these things. “Make sure. You know you can count on me if you have any troubles”, she stood up and tucked Jiyeon to bed. “Now that you’re in crutches, we have to wake up earlier than our usual time if not we’re going to be late. Now go to sleep.” “Thank you unnie”, Jiyeon smiled as she went sleep.       The both of them were silent as they tried eavesdropping through the room. Kris and Luhan stood in silence thinking about the past as well as what had happened to them just lately. "Why did you let me come with you?", Luhan asked out of the blue making Kris jump slightly as he wasn't expecting it. "I mean you could have just taken somebody else. I’m still recovering for pete’s sake. So why did you let me come with you?", he continued. "To be honest, I let you come just because I wanted to”, Kris replied with a tone that indicated Luhan would not dare to argue back. The door that they were eavesdropping on suddenly opened and they both stumbled in. “Well well look who have we got here”, Lee said as he clapped his hand. “I thought our business with you was done”, Kris asked, obviously unhappy because he had to face this dude again. “The last time I let you go was because of a reason. And now, I’ve promised that I’d get revenge because you’ve ruined her!”, Lee yelled.   “Her? What do you mean? Who did you promise this to?", Kris was curious now.  Whatever Lee said doesn’t ring any bell. "I guess I should tell you the truth now”, he paused for a moment as if to hold back tears then began to speak again. "I remember the day she started beginning to act like that as if it was yesterday. I remember it most of all when it rains as it rained the day she acted up." Creased of lines starting to appear on Kris’s forehead as he didn’t understand what was going on. He turned to look at Luhan but he didn't say anything instead he stayed looking at the ground as if he had bad news to tell him. "Luhan…what's wrong?"
