Chapter 4
The Sun and The MoonThe sun was just beginning to peak over the horizon when Lu tried to roll back under the covers, but she couldn't. She shifted a little to loosen the tangled sheets, only to have them squeeze her tighter. Huh?!
She cracked her eyes open to see buildings, sand, sky, clouds, a watch, water, birds...no, go back. The wristwatch. That's what was out of place to her tired mind. She remembered talking to YoungBae and sitting on this chair, but not falling asleep. And when did he lay the chair down? Oh my. They were spooning. She was using his bicep as a pillow and his other arm was clutching her tightly around the waist. It had been a while since she woke up in the arms of a man and it was just as pleasant as she remembered. Maybe more so because they fit so well together. Luna was usually only attracted to men that were several inches taller than her 5 foot frame, but there was something...comforting about his body fitting so snugly to the back of hers.
She did a mental inventory of her body. Head? a bit achy. Temperature? Pleasantly warm, except for the feet. Stomach? On empty. Lunch the previous day was the last time she ate. She had planned to have a large dinner, but...well. They got side tracked.
YoungBae groaned behind her and settled more closely against her backside. She was so soft and smelled so good in his arms. He wasn't sure if she was awake, but he really didn't want to move. If it were up to him, he would lay like this until--

Until his stomach began to rumble indecently. Luna immediately started laughing. She pushed up and looked at him over her shoulder.
“You know, I was having the same thought. We skipped dinner last night,” She sat up fully on the narrow chair and faced the water. He looked at her beautiful face in the full light of the rising sun and then took a chance. He moved his upper body so that he was laying with his head in her lap. She didn't make him move. Maybe this is progress, he thought. She ran her fingers through the short hair at the back of his neck and smiled secretly. It felt a little like the old velvet couch in her babysitters house, not that he would be flattered by the comparison.
They sat in silence, both deep in their own thought. They were both replaying the evening in their minds. The easy banter and companionship they shared surprised them both. YoungBae, because he seldom talked to anyone but DaeSung and JiYong at length and Luna because she was more open with this stranger than she was with most. She rationalized it this way: His life is on display to her constantly as a celebrity, the least she could do was offer the same amount of disclosure. Besides, this was just a chance vacation meeting. It's not like any of this would ever intrude upon her real life. It's not like they were meant to--
--gurgle, rumble, gurgle--
Luna's eyes flew open as she gripped her stomach in an attempt to quiet it. They made eye contact for the first time that morning and laughed very hard. Ah, there it is, he mused. That real smile he had been trying to get out of her all last night. Her head was thrown back, her eyes were closed and he could see a tear in the corner of her eye. He wante
