Because....

Description

Because there's always a reason.

                       Sometimes there are several. 

Foreword

I haven't typed a word since the beginning of November. Some Americans will understand why. I'm trying to get back into writing slowly, so here's a oneshot that's been sitting on my Google Drive for a long, long time. Hope you like it. 

 

 

 

 

Prologue

 

     WonAh sat at a small cafe table, leg bouncing incessantly. To an observer, the motion had to be due to it being her third cup of coffee. But it wasn't caffeine; It was nerves. A heaping dose of justifiable anxiety. 

     Her phone rested in front of her. She flipped it around repeatedly; tapping at it, then stopping. She finally took a deep breath and did what she had to do.

 

WonAh: Where are you?

 

Her phone chimed just over a minute later.

 

Superstar: Home

 

She cursed quietly as his nickname popped up on her screen. She quickly changed the affectionate moniker. After a moment she asked,

 

WonAh: Are you leaving at some point?

 

Again, he responded quickly.

 

Junsu: studio session in a 30

 

WonAh sighed in relief. 

 

WonAh: Okay

 

She leaned back in her chair, trying to decide how to pass the time. Her phone went off again. 

 

Junsu: Why?

 

She started to not say anything back, but decided to be honest.

 

WonAh: I want to get my things.

 
 

One minute.

 

Two minutes.

 

Three minutes.

 

Junsu: Okay.

Chapter 1: Junsu, Junsu...what will you do? How will you win her back? I enjoyed this story. Wonah, definitely lost herself in this relationship. Was being a math professor that dull? I can relate to her. Being in love with someone you see as a superstar can be frightening, exciting, and intoxicating at the same time. Even though Junsu really is a superstar, I can imagine the emotions to be 10 x more intense.

Now she has to reclaim her identity. That’s growth. Good for her. Good for Junsu too.

Chapter 1: i like how realistic this was. you really capture the difficulty of what dating an idol would be like. all that glitters isn't gold. i believe it would be a real challenge and wow, a math professor. loving someone can truly make you lose yourself so much. all the debasing things she had to do just to be with him. he might have taken her efforts for granted. many stars are used to being 'catered to'. probably didn't realize all the sacrifices she was making, not until it was too late. i'm glad they kind of came to an agreement. i hope junsu really does win her back. and once again, i love your writing. so mature and gripping at the same time. great diction, sentence structure, word usage everything. we're lucky you share your work with us. i wish i had more time to finish more of your work

Chapter 1: Wow. That was really interesting. Nobody really shows this side of a relationship. I wish there was more, im rooting for them.

AHHHHHH you're writing again. I caught this early. I'm still catching up with the others. I love your writing. I'm excited. (and yes the past few months have been rough)
