No one’s P.O.V

Jiho and Catori were still not saying much to each other despite Jiho apologizing. He opened the trunk and pulled out her suite case when they got to his house.

“I can take it.” she offered but Jiho ignored her. “Or not.” she rolled her eyes but smiled inwardly. Maybe she had finally knocked some sense into that boy, or in her case slapped.

“Your room is gonna be upstairs, same place you stayed last time.” He told her while going up the stairs. She nodded and followed quietly. ‘I kinda like this Jiho better, maybe if he were to act like this I would fall for him easily- STOP. No Tori don’t do this to yourself.’ Catori ran her fingers through her hair. She tripped slightly on the stairs earning her a snicker from Jiho. "I know I’m hot and everything but don’t you think tripping over my hotness is a little too much?” he snickered even more at his words. ‘Yup, I knew it was too good to be true. Jiho is still a jerk, but a cute one.’ Catori froze in her place when she heard a tiny voice in her head say that. “Are you coming or what?” Jiho was already at the top of the stairs waiting impatiently.

“Huh? Oh yeah,” she ran up the remaining stairs and followed Jiho to the room. “Thanks,” She bowed to him slightly still not really thinking about her actions.

“Did you just bow at me? Well I guess I am your master huh?” he snickered and placed the luggage in the room. Before Catori could say anything Jiho interrupted. “I’m gonna have some friends over. You can just stay here.”

“Is Hanhae coming?” Catori asked. She wanted to apologize to him for the way she acted in front of him.

“Why does it matter? What you wanna-“ Jiho stopped himself from continuing his response. “Yeah he is, but he’ll probably be too busy with other chicks to come.” Lately Jiho had started to feel a terrible feud with Hanhae. He hated the fact that Catori liked Hanhae better than him. He didn’t want to get mad at his hyung but he couldn’t help but feel the slightest jealousy towards him.

“I just wanted to apologize to him-“

“You don’t need to, now start unpacking.”

“Hey Jiho?” Catori wanted to ask one last question.

“What?” Jiho said with annoyance. He wasn’t necessarily mad at her but mad at the fact that she didn’t like him as much as Hanhae.

“How long am I going to be staying here?” she asked looking towards the ground. To Jiho it sounded like she really didn’t want to be with him. ‘Wow, I guess she really doesn’t like me.’ he thought and sighed.

“How ’bout until you find a nice apartment.” He shoved his hands in his pockets after closing the door quietly. He breathed a sigh and stared at the door. ‘I will find a way to make you like me Catori.’ He ruffled his hair as he went downstairs to the living room to wait for his friends. “Why do I even care if she likes me?” he asked himself out loud and confused. ‘Do I like her?’ he questioned himself. “No, I can’t.”

“Can’t what?” Jiho flew off the couch when he heard someone say that. “Whoa there Jiho, didn’t mean to scare you like that.” the voice chuckled. Jiho looked up and saw that it was none other than his brother.

“Hyung when did you get here! How did you even get in?!” Jiho got off the ground yelling.

“Yah, that’s not how you treat your older brother. I came here to pick the damn floor plans for the new house that appa wanted to show me, oh and I don’t know if you knew this but you have maids! They open the door for you!” Jiseok rolled his eyes at his brother.

“Oh… right.”

“Jiho? Where’s the bathroom?” Catori came downstairs concentrating on the steps.

“Who’s this?” Jiseok asked surprised at the sudden entrance of Catori. She looked up and met eyes with Jiseok earning her a smile from him. “She’s pretty.” He smiled brighter and walked over to her. “I’m Jiseok, Jiho’s older brother and the better looking one too.” He winked at her. Catori giggled at Jiseok and bowed slightly.

“HEY!” Jiho walked up to them.

“I’m Catori, um I’m your brother’s-“

“Girlfriend!” Jiho yelled out. Catori glared at him surprised but he gave her a threatening look. “Yeah, she’s my girlfriend.” Jiho rubbed the back of his neck nervously. 

“Really? Damn, what a shame I wanted to get to know you better.” Jiseok spilled his charm on Catori. She smiled at his words and tried not to seem too obvious that she found him super attractive.

“Well too bad, she’s mine.” Jiho came towards Catori and wrapped an arm around her.  “I’ll go get you the floor plan so you can leave-“

“What’s wrong? Afraid I’ll steal her from you?” Jiseok snickered. Jiho and Catori tensed at the same time. Jiho of course retaliated quickly and smirked.

“Sorry hyung but you’re no competition.” He held Catori closer to him feeling like they were actually a couple.

“I guess you’re right, you already made her blush.” Jiseok pointed to Catori’s cheeks and Jiho’s eyes followed. His smirk widened and so did his ego.

“I’m glad to see you have someone now, instead of sleeping with who knows how many girls.” Jiseok ruffled his younger brother’s hair as he walked passed them to go to the kitchen. “So where are the floor plans?” the oldest sibling of the Woo family asked while searching the fridge.

“Definitely not in the fridge.” Jiho snickered. He ran upstairs to his office (that he barely ever used for work) then went back down stairs only to see Catori serving Jiseok a cup of water. She giggled and smiled sweetly to him then served herself a cup too. ‘Wow, she even likes my brother more than me now too.’ He rolled his eyes then plopped the floor plans in front of his brother. “There you go, now you can leave.” He crossed his arms rudely, earning him a glare from Catori. He nodded over at her when he noticed her glare.

“Jiho you shouldn’t be so rude to your older brother.”

“Yeah Jiho~” Jiseok stuck his tongue out. ‘Is he seriously the oldest?’ Jiho thought to himself.

“What do you expect me to do when my brother keeps flirting with my girlfriend?” Jiho countered looking directly at Catori who glared at him even harder when he said girlfriend.  

“Damn Jiho, never thought you’d be so protective of a girl. She must really mean something to you.” Jiseok smiled at Catori, who smiled back shyly.

“I don’t- I mean I do but I-I ughh…” Jiho trailed off completely confused. He didn’t want to admit that he cared about Catori that would just make him seem like a wuss and he definitely wasn’t a wuss.

“Wow, it seems you have him really tongue tied Catori.” Jiseok smiled at Catori again. “I’m happy for my brother, although it may not seem like it I do care about him. Sorry if I came off too strong; I just wanted to see how much he cares about you and what you mean to him.” He went over to ruffle Catori’s hair, “I can tell he cares about you a lot you’re different from the rest, at least I know he’s in good hands.” He chuckled while looking over at Jiho who was frowning and clenching his fists ‘Don’t touch her.’ he thought to himself.

“I don’t need anyone to take care of me, never did never will.” He growled before walking to the door. “Now if you’d be so nice as to leave, that would be wonderful.” Jiho opened the door for his brother who was walking nonchalantly over to the door.

“Alright, I’ll leave you with your girl little bro, I’ll see you later Catori! It was nice meeting you!” He waved over at Catori and she waved back. “Bye little bro, make sure you take care of that, she’s too good for you and I know you know that. I don’t care what you think but when I say this I think about you too, I care about you.” Jiseok said in a hushed tone so Catori couldn’t hear them. Jiho looked at his brother with a small glare.

“Whatever, I don’t need you telling me who I should take care of when you can barely take care of anyone. Bye.” Jiho growled and shut the door. He sighed in relief when his brother left. “Why did you even come down here?” he called Catori. She went over to him with a sour look.

“I asked you where the bathroom was but instead I was told I was your girlfriend.” She crossed her arms. By now Jiho was annoyed because of his brother’s random entrance and he wasn’t about to stand there and let Catori give him attitude.

“What did you want me to say?” He asked annoyed. He walked over to her getting in her personal space.

“The truth, that you made me move in with you! What’s so wrong with that huh?!” She poked his chest while glaring at him. "Oh right, it makes you sound like a creep!"

“If I were to tell him that then he would have totally teased me about it! I don’t want that!” his voice got louder with each word.

“What’s so wrong with a little teasing huh?! When you do it it’s perfectly fine isn’t it?!” Their skinship was quickly escalating in a negative way because of Catori who pushed him away from her.  

“Because!” Jiho yelled out. He took deep breaths as he glared at Catori. “Because, because there’s a difference when he does it. He’s always done it to me when we were little and I don’t want it to continue like that! I’m tired of him and the rest of my family!” He yelled out his anger. He wasn’t even mad at Catori now, now he was mad at his past. “I hate being the youngest child in the Woo family. I hate the fact that I’m considered the fragile child and that Jiseok is considered the strong one. I hated having to grow up without a dad because he was always busy with work. I hate being the extra package  in the family. Most of all, I hate that I pushed my mother away from me when all she did was try to help me.” He knew deep down that he did care about Jiseok and his father but it was the fact that they thought he was never good enough was what made him change. By now Jiho had stopped yelling, all that was left was a shaking tired man that couldn’t help but feel a stinging behind his eyes, warning him that the waterworks were soon approaching.

“Jiho…” Catori trailed off surprised by the sudden outburst. Never in her life time would she ever think that Jiho had such a sad past, sure he had money left over but money couldn’t pay for the attention a child needed. Jiho looked up surprised when he heard his name being called. His eyes widened when he realized that he just said all of that in front of her. ‘She’s probably gonna use all of that to tease me now, I wouldn’t doubt. With the way I’ve been treating her, I would do the same’ he thought to himself. Something unpredictable happened though, a complete 360 of what he thought was going to happen. Catori walked closer to him and gave him a hug. Despite everything that he’s done to her she always had that motherly instinct to help others when needed no matter who they are and what they’ve done. She could feel him tense in her arms so she let go. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to surprise you, I just- I want to make sure you know that it’s okay to feel weak sometimes.” She gave him a warm smile.

“No, i-it’s fine I guess I’m just not used to this side of you. I didn’t think you’d be so caring.” He pulled a smirk while pulling her in for another hug. “Thank you…” he whispered to her feeling warmth from her body. He let go when he felt himself start to get mesmerized in her arms. “Ehem, sorry-“ he paused when he heard the doorbell ring. He walked over to it and saw his friends at the door. I guess their bonding time would have to wait until next time.
