Vampire Tears

---

Sitting at the cafeteria at lunch time, you just sort of picked on your food. A long sigh escaped your lips as your fork dropped onto the floor beneath you with a loud ka ching! Every student stopped what they were doing and turned their heads towards you. That only lasted for a milli second. Soon, they all began talking again like usual.

Usually, you'd love the noise in the cafeteria. The noise of kids chattering away made you feel better. Come to think of it, every small things could bring you happiness. Once, you remembered as you stood up to get a new fork, a fortune teller had told you that you were a very gifted person, and you have to open up that gift before you loose it. As you grabbed a fork, you headed back towards your table. You now realized that the "gift" was happiness. Many people needs fancy cars, money or love to be happy. But you were slightly different from them.

Window, the cool breeze, a noise of kids chattering brought you happiness everyday. And none of those things costed money, not at all. Not many people would feel happiness by small and ordinary things like these. You considered yourself as a very gifted person, just like the fortune teller had said.

"Hello?" Gayoon waved her hands right before your eyes. "Anyone home?"

Playfully knocking on your forehead, she giggled as you pushed her hand away. Your lips curved up to form a semi-grin and a sigh came from Gayoon's cherry-painted lips.

"Didn't you hear what I just said?" She asked you angrily.

"Nope, sorry." You laughed. "I was too busy day dreaming."

Frowning, she picked up her fork from the table and stabbed it into her french fry. She popped the french fry into and chewed on it, as she smiled at you. You stabbed a french fry and popped it into your mouth too.

"So, what were you saying?"

"Changhyun." she whispered, and looked over at some place. Following her gaze, you spotted Changhyun sitting alone and eating his lunch peacefully at a corner, towards the very back of the cafeteria.

"What about him?" You asked, not taking your eyes off him.

"I'm a hundred percent sure that he's a vampire." she hissed at you.

You frowned and drank your water, as if to reduce the heat coming out of your body. How can she be so sure that Changhyun was a vampire? Why? What did he do to make her so positive about it?

"How?"

Gayoon just shurgged (again!) and went back to her eating. Grunting, you stood up and grabbed your tray and headed towards the trashbin. Your eyes were glued onto the trashbin, as you weren't really looking where you were going.

Suddenly, you felt hot juice spilling over you. You let out a gasp and spun around to face Changhyun with a guilty look all across his baby-faced face, as he stared at you and then at his tray. It took you 0.001 second to realize that he had spilt his soup on you.

"I-I'm really so-sorry!" He stammered, and even trembled a little bit.

You gave him a smile and wiped away the soup with your bare hands. You couldn't help but to frown, though. Today, you were wearing a white blouse and now it was almost see-through.

Your gave turning red as a tomato, you made a run to the nearest toilet, with Gayoon hurrying after you. You ran to the tap and the water, and took out some tissues. Making the tissues wet, you started to wipe the red stains on your white blouse with all your might. But you couldn't help but to notice that your shirt was becoming more and more messier as you tried to wipe it off.

Gayoon, who was watching you rushed over and helped you. She soon frowned and threw the tissue into the trashbin. With a frown on her pretty face, she turned around to face you as a low sigh escaped from her lips slowly.

"You've got to get changed, Eunbin-ah." She announced.

You pouted slightly and looked at your reflection in your mirror in the toilet. Your used-to-be-white-blouse was now a red-stained tomato-soup-soaked shirt. It was more than a reddish shirt instead of pure white.

"So, do I have to go home or something?" You asked.

Gayoon nodded and held open the door for you. You flashed her a knowing smile and stepped out of the toilet. Since the toilet was located right inside the cafeteria, the second you stepped out, you could feel the students' gaze on you. You hated being at the centre of attention.

Changhyun, who was froze like an ice at the same spot rushed over to you. "I talked to the teacher; you can go home. So can I." He told you quietly, and guided you out of the cafeteria. He was trying his best to cover you with his body so the students couldn't see you like this.

As soon as you and Changhyun got out of the school, you quickly pushed him away gentely. "Thanks." you muttered and began to walk along the side-walk, concentrating on your converse sneakers instead.

Changhyun ran over to you and covered you. Looking up, you could feel the curious gazes of people that were passing by on the road. Your hair was messy, and your make-up was smeared all over your face. Of course, your tomato-soup-soaked blouse wasn't helping at all.

----

When you got to the apartment with Chanhyun right besides you, you reached out to punch in the apartment's password. But then again, Changhyun had the same thing in mind too. Your fingers brushed against each others for a split second.

Changhyun, who seemed embarrassed coughed and quickly took his hand back. You coughed too, as you punched in the password.

"OPPA~~~" A annoying super high-pitched voice echoed through the apartment as you and Changhyun had stepped inside the apartment after you punched in the password.

You spun around to see a rather super-familiar face running towards you. It took you a split second to remember the girl, as she stopped right in front of Changhun, panting hard. She dramatically flipped her hair back her shoulders and leant against the wall to support herself.

She flashed a phony grin at Changhyun and gave you a disgusted look to you, as if you were an un-wanted bug which she had found in the toilet while combing her oh-so-beautiful hair.

"I'm Minji, remember?" She said, still panting hard. You noticed a single drop of sweat running down her cheeks.

Changhyun didn't reply at all. Instead, he looked over to you with a helpless + hopeless look on his face. He seemed like he didn't know what to do at all. Was he lost? Didn't he like Minji? Why not?

A girl as pretty as Minji was practically throwing herself at him, yet he didn't even blink an eye to her. You soon realized that he had zero interest in girls, and relationships. Let alone flirty girls like Kwon Minji.

"Um... so.. what's your name?" Minji asked, trying to continue the conversation.

He didn't reply, he just stood there, staring at you instead of her. Minji looked annoyed, but she still kept the fake, plastic smile on her face as she fanner herself with her two hands.

"It's Y-"

Just as you were about to say his name, Changhyun quickly covered your mouth with his one hand and pressed the ^ button of the elevator with his other free hand. He shot Minji a glare.

"Well?" Minji crossed her arms. She was breathing normally now, then she dramatically flipped her hair again!

"JAGI! Minji~"

At the sound of her name, Minji quickly spun around and flashed the guy once again, her signature phony, fake smile as he came rushing towards her. You stared at the guy and realized that he was actually pretty good-looking. Way too good-looking for a girl like Minji.

Minji flattered her eyelashes at him, and clung onto his arm like a baby koala. "Babe, why are you late? I was waiting for you!" She whined, and pouted at her boyfriend. Or at least, who seemed like her boyfriend. You weren't even sure if he was her boyfriend or not.

"I'm really sorry, jagiyah. I came running here." The guy apologized and gave the poor Changhyun a death glare, and glanced over at you too. Then he turned back to his lovely-girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her.

"Did these two bully you?" He asked.

Wow. At that question, you almost choked over your own saliva, as you coughed. Glancing over at Changhyun, you caught a glimsp of something red boiling inside his eyes. He seemed beyond angry- FURIOUS.

Minji nodded at her boyfriend with a pout. "Yes, babe." Then she shot you a glare. "I was too scared!"

Returning back to her oh-so-innocent look, she hid behind the guy, while glaring at you. You just felt like slapping her and teaching her a lesson, but you knew better not to. I mean, you weren't that immature to do things like that.

To your suprise, the guy made a grab for Changhyun's neck, although Changhyun was at least 5cm taller than he was. Changhyun choked, and you shot Minji your death glare this time. How can that girl lie like that?

"JERK." You muttered under your breath, but loud enough for the guy to hear. He shot you a glare.
