The rest of the meeting went by fairly smoothly. However, by the end of the day, Jieun was able to get a hint of how Chanyeol felt of her. He didn’t give her the chance to become comfortable or friendly with each other. He also seemed to be purposely distancing her. After a few tries, Jieun was without avail; so, she came to the conclusion that Park Chanyeol was someone to avoid, and, if necessary, separate from Lu Han.      “How close are you two?” Jieun asked Lu Han once the two were alone in his car. “Have you known each other for long?”      He pursed his lips, keeping his eyes on the road. “I think it’s been more than ten years,” he replied. “And I told you. We’re practically brothers.”      A frown formed on her face for a slight moment before disappearing. From what she knew of Lu Han’s personality so far, he didn’t rely on many people. But, he seemed to trust Chanyeol a lot, and that had just made things slightly difficult.      With a barely audible sigh, Jieun said, “I see…”      “Why?” Lu Han glanced at her with concern. “Is anything wrong?”      She bit her lower lip and looked down at her laps. “No, it’s nothing.”      “What is it? You can tell me, Jieun.”      “It’s just…” She bit down on her flesh a bit harder. “I don’t think Chanyeol-ssi likes me very much.”      She saw Lu Han pale. “W-what do you mean? I-I’m sure it’s all a misunderstanding. He j-just isn’t the type to e-express his feelings well. T-that’s all.” When he didn’t hear anything in response, he pulled his car over to the side lanes and came to a halt. “Look, Jieun,” he said, facing her. “I’ll be honest with you. You’re right. Chanyeol told me he didn’t particularly get a positive impression of you.”      “I guessed so,” she replied bitterly. “It wasn’t that difficult to figure out.”      Seeing her darkened expression, Lu Han cursed under his breath and tousled his hair in frustration. “But… How do I even say this?” He sighed. “I don’t think it’s true, really. But Chanyeol said that he doesn’t think you’re…sincere.”      “What do you mean?”      “Okay. I don’t doubt you in the slightest, so don’t misunderstand. I just wanted to make sure…” A hopeful smile decorated his lips. “Do you like me?”      From the sudden question, Jieun flushed in dark pink and stuttered, “I—I, uh…” She peeked up at Lu Han, and in a feeble voice, she said, “Y-yes. I d-do.”      Brightening up, Lu Han exclaimed, “See! There’s nothing to worry about, then! Chanyeol was being an idiot like usual. Don’t mind him.” With a sigh, he said, “If you want, I can give him a good beating.” Choking back grins, he then started his car back up and began to drive.      The car ride was pretty much quiet until the two arrived in front of Jieun’s house. After parking, Lu Han hurriedly jumped out of his seat to open the passenger door, allowing her to step out. “Sorry about how things turned out today,” he told her sheepishly as he walked her to her front gate. “Let’s have a date sometime later with just the two of us, without anyone to mess it up.”      She gave him a smile and nodded. “Don’t worry about it too much. It wasn’t that bad. And I would love to.”      “Thanks, Jieun. Go on in, and just call me if you need anything.”      “I will.” She turned to go inside until he stopped her.      “Wait!” He suspiciously glanced at her house. “Do you live with someone?”      Jieun frowned. “No, I live alone.”      With worry seeping into his white face, Lu Han asked, “Alone? Why? What about your parents? Where are they?”      She portrayed no emotion on her face as she told him, “They died.”      Blinking, he considered offering his condolences but stopped himself. As someone who had experienced the loss of a loved one, he knew for a fact that it didn’t feel too good when he was given insincere words of grief. “I see,” he replied. “They’re in a better place. I’m sure of it. Anywhere is better than here.”      Jieun was genuinely surprised when Lu Han didn’t tell her ‘I’m sorry’. That was the response everyone had, and it became what she naturally expected. She smiled faintly. “I hope so.” Not once had she been sincere towards Lu Han; but, this time, she was.      “Alright, be safe. Lock y

Chapter 21: This was a very beautiful story. So very descriptive and detailed. Also very angsty and somewhat realistic, connects to realworld problems, which i like. Although the ending was sad, i still enjoyed reading. You're a very talented writer, author-nim. Keep it up~!^^

Chapter 22: Okay, I haven't been reading this even though it appeared in my updated subscriptions simply because I am very lazzzzzzzy lol. Well, I'm not even surprised to read this tragic ending cos I know you ain't kind enough to give a happy one. LOL jk, I mean, it's obvious that this is going to end up angst. But to be honest, I quite frustrated with all the main characters here lol. The story's amazing though. I like the epilogue most, the insight about the types of love. :)
