CHAPTER 5

Kyuhyun’s POV

“You still going to that part-time?”  Yesung-hyung asked as I was fixing my hair

“Yup, I’ll be late don’t wait for me okay?” it was a Saturday, I usually just play Starcraft till my head hurts, but after what happened yesterday, I think I need to be a lot busy so I could stop thinking about it, I was up all night replaying the scene over and over again in my head, but I still don’t understand why I couldn’t stop myself.

“yeah, yeah”

“I still don’t get why you need to work on a Saturday, you’re usually lazy at Saturdays”

“yah monkey! Just be happy I’ll earn more! You could buy more of your strawberry stuff! And at least we could buy descent food!”

The monkey just glared at me.

“I’m going now, try to not be lonely without me okay?” I gave them a teasing grin as I went out the door.

Sungmin’s POV

“but ummaaaa, I don’t want to go to appas’ company party, it would be boring there” I gave that look at my umma, the look that she always falls for

“No, Sungmin-ah, you need to go, the whole family needs to be there, you need to support your appa, and I AM NOT going to fall for that again” She said as she points to my face

I gave her a whiny pout, I hate going to appas’ company party, it’s soo boring, no one there to talk to, wearing uncomfy tux, looking at people talking about business stuff that I don’t understand, I just usually sit at our table and eat every kind of food served at the party, then drink probably gallons of grape punch, the only thing that I like about this party is that little kids are allowed to come, they always serve ice cream and cakes, cupcakes and a lot more sweets, the reason kids are allowed in the party is that my dad owns a very successful company that makes new gadgets. That’s why I get the latest gadgets.

“Sungmin! Come down now! We need to go now!”

“Yes, Umma!”

I was wearing black tux, I hate it! it’s so uncomfortable, My appa said that we need to be in corporate attire so that our family would look respectable.

“Sungmin-ah, I’ll just go there with my friends, do you mind being alone?” No umma, I wouldn’t mind being alone here to die of boredom again, like I always do during dad’s parties. This is why I don’t like going to this kind of stuffs Dad always talks to the investors and you always talk to the investors’ wife. How I wish I had the guts to say that, but umma is so sweet that I just smiled at her

“Okay umma, I don’t mind”

“Thanks Sungmin-ah” She gave me a grateful smile then left to talk to her friends.

“excuse me sir? Would you want some sundae?” a guy in a white tux asked me with a smile

My eyes suddenly lit up at the mention of sundaes.

“Yes~~ I would love that!”

“Chocolate, Strawberry or caramel?”

“Caramel of course!”

“here you go sir”

“thank you” I said with a toothy smile

I savored every bite of my sundae, I started getting bored so I started playing with my phone…….

Okayyyyyy, I’m seriously bored I’ve probably eaten all kinds of sweets and I’m getting hot and uncomfy with my tux

“bunnyyy~~ would you like some orange juice”

Yes that’s what I’d need a tall cold gla—

wait, did that guy just call me—no, I must be hallucinating—but—

“Yah! Bunny!”

Oh hell no! not until here—please Lord, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be him

I was chanting that on my head while I slowly turned my head to face the man owning the deep voice, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be him, don’t let it be—

It’s official, this party just got worse as I saw a familiar bastard in front of me with a permanent smirk on his face, Oh god! The scene yesterday kept repeating in my head. I felt my face getting hotter, I quickly faced back to hide my face.

“bunny! you do know it’s rude not to respond at people” he said as he walked to face me, I cupped my face with my hands to hide my cheeks

“Wha-what are you doing here?”  he swatted to be in my eye level as I was sitting and he was standing

“What are YOU doing here?” he asked with still his annoying smirk.

Oh no! I totally forgot were on my appa’s party, I’m dead, he’ll know my secret and then spread it at school, then I’ll have to move again, NO!  I have to save myself from an obvious disaster.

I gave him a smile to hide my anxiety

“Kyuhyun-ah, I am a waiter here” I tried to say confidently

Kyuhyun’s POV

“Kyuhyun-ah, I am a waiter here”

“Really?” I gave him a creepy smile as I leaned forward more as he backed away

“Y-yes” he said as he shifted his eyes away from my gaze

I followed his eyes and stared him down

“Liar”

 his eyes suddenly widened and looked at me with a nervous face.

“Wha-what”

-Flashback-

I wore my white tux, waiters are required to wear this, good thing Eunhyuk lent me his.

“Kyuhyun, you actually came, I thought you’ll ditch this job and just play starcraft all day” Heechul said with a surprised look on his face, I gave him a glare and walked away.

“you!” the boss said while pointing at me

“yes sir?”

“you serve the juice”

I took the tray and went out where the party is at I started giving the juice to young children and asked the adults if they would want some

“Ma’am would you like some orange juice?” I asked the group of ladies, I know some of them

“Oh !, I’d like some, and can you kindly give my son one too, he’s right there” She said as she pointed to a small figure, sitting alone on the table, I know this lady, She’s Mrs. Lee, the wife of the host of this party, I heard he owns “ Tech-no” it’s very famous here in Korea and I heard they’re planning to go global.

“Of course ma’am” She gave me a smile

“Thanks young man”

I approached the son but as I got closer he started looking familiar, wait a minute is that-? As I got closer my question was answered it was Sungmin-ssi, he’s the son of Mr. Lee?  ‘Lee Sungmin’ same last name, same features as her mom, it actually makes sense, him taking bus 5 everyday. So he’s keeping this a secret. Hmmmm  This.is.going.to.be.fun.

“bunnyyy~~ would you like some orange juice” bwahahaha you are so dead

-end of flashback-

“So Sungmin-ssi, that’s your mom” I said as I pointed to Mrs. Lee

“and that’s your dad” pointing to Mr. Lee

“Am I right?”

“No~~”  He said unconvincingly, shifting her gaze from left to right

“Mrs. Lee told me you’re her son, I don’t think she’s the kind of lady who would lie about something like that” I said as I gave him a smirk

“So, you still deciding to lie to me Sungmin-ssi?”

“Don’t tell anyone okay?”

“And why wouldn’t I?”

“Just don’t!”

“No way, I’ll tell everyone at our school that YOU ‘Lee Sungmin’ is the son of one of the most successful business man in Korea, the son of the owner of ‘Tech-no’ ” I said with yet, another smirk

He suddenly held both of my hands and stared at me

“Please Kyuhyun-ah don’t tell anyone, pleeasssee” he said with a pleading look, I was surprised at what he did

“Why would YOU be in our school, if YOU could go to somewhere better? And WHY would YOU, hide something as great as THIS?” I was seriously confused

 “You don’t get it” he said looking down

“You think, THIS is all a fairytale?”

“Why wouldn’t this be a good thing?” tell me, how could having a lot of money to buy whatever you want not be a fairytale

“Look around Kyuhyun-ah, I’m all alone, my parents are not by my side, they’re busy talking to other people” I suddenly felt  guilty trying to threaten him

“Having no true friends?, Knowing that you’re friends are only with you because of your appas’ wealth” he looked up with a bitter smile, tears threatening to fall

“I went to your school to have a new beginning, to have a different life, to experience having real friends” his tears started to flow through his face

“Since I was born, I was protected, kept away from commoners, I was with fake people, snobbish people. I never experienced having to have a normal life, Did you know how much I dreamt of hanging out with my friends? How much I hoped that one day, I’d be able to just peacefully eat at a food chain, happily chatting with my friends, fooling around. I can never do that, I needed to be protected, every minute of my life.”

“Just for once, I’d like that!” he stared at me, I felt a pang in my chest

"And then suddenly, I worked up an idea to study at your school, It gave me hope"

“Kyuhyun-ah, please don’t tell anyone, please, I’m begging you”

I didn’t know why, but I suddenly felt the urge to hug him, and so I did. I hugged him and started patting his back

“Don’t worry Sungmin, I won’t tell anyone your secret, Your secret’s safe with me”

Sungmin’s POV

He suddenly hugged me, I was so shocked that I didn’t dare to move an inch

“Don’t worry Sungmin, I won’t tell anyone your secret, Your secret’s safe with me, I promise” he whispered against my ears, feeling his hot breath against my skin and sending shivers down my spine. Something about him that made me hug him back.

“Thank you, Kyuhyun-ah”

After a minute of hugging, he pulled away, I suddenly felt disappointed having the loss of warmth.

“I’m sorry Sungmin but I have to get back to work” he said with a sorry look

“Oh” I gave a small oh

“It’s alright, thanks for keeping my secret” I gave him a grateful smile, even though inside I was feeling lonely that I have to be alone again.

He stood up and walked away to serve more juice, I followed him with my gaze.

Huh! What just happened?

Kyuhyun, knowing my secret, Kyuhyun hugging me, Kyuhyun promising to keep my secret. Kyuhyun hugging me, Kyuhyun hugging me, Kyuhyun hugging me, Kyuhyun hugging me

Kyuhyun hugging me……………….

I felt my face get hot, Oh my- Kyuhyun hugged me, SINCERELY hugged me, he felt sorry for me, he understood me.

The sky got darker, it was night-time, it has been 3 and a half hours since Kyuhyun left me, I have been watching him serve guests, occasionally sending me winks and smiles making me blush constantly, he looked different since he learned my secret, since he promised to keep my secret. He suddenly looked nicer to me, like he wasn’t the arrogant bastard I knew on the first day, he looked more attractive.

. Seriously Sungmin? What the heck are you saying?

Looked more attractive? No way! He just seemed NICER okay?

After 10 minutes, I wasn’t seeing him anymore, I gave a pout. It was 10:30 PM, his shift must’ve ended.

“Miss me?” I gasped as someone whispered behind my ear, I turned around to see who it was even though I knew who it was.

“Kyuhyun! You almost gave me a heart attack!” I said as I panted

“ALMOST, but I haven’t okay? So wipe that pout off your face” I glared at him

“you bored?” he asked

“Oh no! I’m not!, I’m perfectly fine sitting here alone without anything to do” I said sarcastically

This time it was his turn to glare at me

“You and your sarcasm” I gave him a wide teasing grin

He rolled his eyes at me

“come with me” he said as he held his hand out

I stared at his hands

“Where?”  I said as I raised an eyebrow with a curious look

“It’s a secret” he said with a grin

I thought for a while

Should I? I mean my umma won’t even notice that I’m gone, or I could text her that I went home OR I’ll tell her I’ll go somewhere with a friend since I’m bored to death, she’ll trust me.

“Wait here” I told Kyuhyun, he gave me a nod and sat at a chair at our table

I stood up then approached umma

“Umma, I’ll be going with a friend, is that alright?”

“who?” my umma asked concerned

“him” and I pointed towards Kyuhyun

“Who’s that, wait is that the waiter earlier?” I started getting nervous thinking she won’t allow me to come with him

“Yes umma, he’s my friend, I met him at school, can I please come with him?” I gave her a pleading look

I was relieved when she smiled at me

“Okay Sungmin, if you trust him enough to go with him then I trust him to, besides he was so nice to me earlier, but wherever you’re going, take the car with our driver okay? I want you to be safe”

I freed a wide smile

“Thanks Umma!”

“okay Sungmin-ah, be careful!” She went back talking to her friends

I went back to our table where Kyuhyun was texting someone at his phone

“Okay where we going?” He looked up

Kyuhyun just gave me a huge grin

“You’ll see”

Dear readers, I know what kind of title is orange juice? :)) I was just so lazy to think of a title so I just randomly picked orange juice to be my title. anyway so how's the story? Is it progressing?
