CHAPTER 10

Kyuhyun’s POV

“No way!” Sungmin said crossing his arms at me

“But you said we could do what I want see? You said ‘I want to do what you want to do Kyu!’ ” I said mimicking his voice

“I know what I said but can’t you just pick a different thing to do?!” He said annoyed

I shaked my head and smirked at him “anio” Sungmin stomped his foot and pouted

“Fine! If you don’t want to do this then you stay there while I ride the boat okay? You’ll be alone for hours, would you like that? Huh?” I said while looking at the defeated Sungmin, he sighed and stomped his feet some more before getting on the boat

I laughed in victory, Sungmin glared at me and sat down

“Cho Kyuhyun, you’re one evil jerk!” Sungmin said as he puffed his cheeks and crossed his arms

I looked at him in disbelief “Me?” I said as I pointed to myself, he nodded his head and looked at me

“So? What are you waiting for? Get on the boat!” He said, I shaked my head and chuckled

I climbed on the boat and sat next to Sungmin who was now fuming and……….. scared?, was he scared? Was that why he didn’t want to ride this thing? I shook my head and started the motor of the boat and as soon as the boat moved, Sungmin held my arms tightly and buried his face on my chest, I realized he was shaking, I suddenly felt a wash of guilt running over me, I hugged him and rubbed his back

“Hey, it’s going to be alright, I’m here okay? I’ll protect you” I said softly, he raised his head up to look at me

“That’s what appa said when we went sailing then” He said, voice quavering

“huh?” I asked  curiously

He shaked his head and tried to sit back properly, but I could see that he was forcing his self and he looked scared as a bunny

“nothing” he said

I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards me

“Hey, you don’t have to force yourself to sit back if you’re scared” I said softly

“Do you want to tell me what happened” I said while I pushed him softly just a little to look at his face, he stared at me then finally nodded

“okay” he whispered softly

“I was eight then, appa--- appa took me to sail, I was so excited then but—“ He said hesitatingly

“but what?” I asked him

“Ummm—but, the moment we sailed I felt a familiar gut feeling in my stomach, like something really bad is going to happen” he paused a moment

“Then suddenly I heard a loud thunder, I got really scared and my appa was shouting at the crew men to start lowing the sail and stuff like that, my appa told me to go inside but the moment I stood up, I lost my balance and fell” He said, saying the last words faintly

“I-I didn’t know how to swim, and-and the water was really deep, just thinking about it, I-I feel really breathless, like I was drowning once again, I was so scared and—“

“shhhhh” I cut his words and hugged him tightly

“sorry, I forced you to ride here ” I said

 He shook his head and smiled at me

“It’s alright, I guess it is time to forget and try to conquer my fears”  he said, loosening his grip on me

I nodded my head, then suddenly a wild idea comes out from nowhere, I smirk suddenly makes his way on my lips

Sungmin noticed this and suddenly looked a little scared

“Oh god Kyu, what are you thinking of now” Sungmin said curiously

“nothing” I said unconvincingly, he looked at me accusingly, I smiled and then suddenly hugged him, he jumped in surprise

“Oh Sungmin, I know a perfect way to conquer your fear” I said while looking at him mischievously, he gulped and raised an eyebrow at me

“How?” he said, I smirked at him

“Like this” I said, and without a warning, I jumped off the boat with me hugging Sungmin

Sungmin struggled under my hug, but I decided to free him anyway, when he finally got to the surface of the water, he coughed loudly while looking for me

“Kyuhyun!!! Where are you?! Come here, I’m going to freakin kill you!!” He yelled

I sneaked up behind him and hugged him from the back

“I’m right here sweetheart” I whispered against his ear, I felt him shiver

He turned around and smacked me on the head

“Owww!” I yelped in pain

“You jerk! I could’ve drowned!”

“But you didn’t” I said with a smile

“What if I did?!” he said

“You know I wouldn’t let you drown Min” He blushed and I mentally fisted my hand above my head in victory

Sungmin’s POV

“You know I wouldn’t let you drown Min” I blushed at what he said

Aish! This Kyuhyun! Why does he need to be so sweet?!

“Y-you won’t?” I stuttered, mental face palm for stuttering, nice going Lee Sungmin!

“Of course, what do you think?” He said like it’s obvious

I started to shiver because of the cold water, Kyuhyun noticed this so he grabbed my hand and started to swim back to our boat

As I got on the boat, I started to tremble because of the cold air hitting me

“Hey, are you cold?” He asked

I looked at him “Of course not! Cause I was just in cold water and now that I’m out of the water, I’m wet and cold air is blowing, so, yeah I’m not cold Kyuhyun” I said sarcastically, he glared at me and mumbled something like ‘you and your sarcasm’

“Don’t worry we’re almost back to the city, we’ll just buy clothes arraso?” I nodded my head

Kyuhyun and I brought clothes and proceeded on our way, Kyuhyun insisted on paying for the clothes but I quickly gave my money to the cashier girl, he has done so much for me already. I actually, kind of, a little got over my fear.

“Um, Kyuhyun?”

He hummed in response

“thanks, you know, about earlier” I whispered softly, but enough for him to hear

He smiled at me and nodded his head, we started walking again but because I was seriously clumsy right this moment, I didn’t notice a rock in front of me, and I stepped on it making me yelp and loose my balance causing to twist my ankle, making me fall down, Kyuhyun rushed to me

“Hey, where does it hurt?” He asked

“My hurts! Stupid rock!” I said

“Aish this bunny! blaming his clumsiness on the rock!” he said while laughing

“YAH!” I started getting up but as soon as I did, I felt pain shot through my ankle, making me fall back again

“owwwwwww!” I yelped in pain

Kyuhyun looked at me with worry in his eyes

“You twisted your ankle didn’t you?” He said softly, I nodded my head meekly, kind of embarrassed about the situation

He turned his back on me and bended his knees

“hop on” he said

I looked at his back then shook my head, I decided to just ride his back since my ankle seriously hurts

I wrapped my arms on his neck and he hitched me up supporting my legs with his arms, he started walking, it was getting dark, and the night sky was just……perfect, the stars were shining brightly and the moon was bright and yellow

He let out a loud, exaggerated huff, breaking the peaceful silence

“You chubby bunny! you’re so heavy” He complained

I bit his shoulder in anger and he yelped in pain, I chuckled merrily and rested my head on Kyuhyuns’ shoulder

“Kyuhyun-ah” I whispered in his ear, I felt him shiver

“What?” he said breathlessly

“Thank you” I said and I quickly pecked his cheek, I saw him blush and I smiled widely, going back to rest on Kyuhyuns’ shoulder, the night was peaceful as I started to drowse off.

i haven't been updating for almost 2 weeks!! the reason is that I was facing a mojor crisis named writer's block, sorry for not updating early :(
