Chapter 11

Sungmin’s POV

An open window, that’s what I was staring at for the past 20 minutes. I have been racking my brains, thinking of the reason why Kyuhyun wasn’t at our usual place earlier, which is the rooftop.

Was he late?

Was he avoiding me?

Did he forget?

Was he just simply not in the mood to go?

I sighed in frustration, I was sitting in class waiting for our teacher, only a few students are here, maybe because it was still early?

Since it was still early, I decided to head out of the classroom to get some fresh air, I was walking in the hallway when I saw Donghae. He was fixing the large amount of books he was holding, I decided to help him when I saw a blonde haired guy suddenly approach him, he was as tall as Donghae, and from the looks of it they know each other very well, He helped Donghae in carrying his books, I walked towards them and as I got closer I realized that the other guy was no other than Cho Kyuhyun’s bestfriend and Donghae’s crush

Lee Hyukjae

“Hey Fishy!” I called out to him, he whipped his head to my direction and smiled

“Sungminnie!!!!!”  He shouted and ran to me as he hugged me

Donghae was a nerd, yes, but he has the brain of a 7 year old boy, I learned that Donghae was a child at heart, it’s actually really cute.

“Geez Donghae, people might have thought that we haven’t seen each other for years” I said

He pouted at me, I chuckled at his behavior

“Hey, why don’t you introduce me to your friend here” I said emphasizing the word friend and sending a knowing smile to Donghae, he blushed and fixed his glasses

“Oh, Ummm, right! Umm, This is Hyukjae, Hyukjae this is—“

“Sungmin, I know, Kyuhyun talks about him aaaaalllllllllll the time” he said with an annoyed expression

I blushed at what he said, he talks about me?

“Ummmm, well nice meeting you Hyukjae” I said extending my hand to shake with a smile on my face

“Nice meeting you too, Sungmin and by the way, you can just call me Eunhyuk” He said showing his gummy smile while shaking my hand

“Well, see you later Donghae” I walked away not wanting to ruin their moment, I winked at Donghae as I passed him

Donghae’s POV

“I finally get to meet the great Lee Sungmin, Kyuhyun has been talking about alllllll the time” Eunhyuk said as we walked together

I giggled at what he said, yes I knew about Kyuhyun and Sungmin being suspiciously close to each other, and yes, I know about Sungmin’s BIG secret, I’m just glad he trusts me.

“Hae, what are you doing with these humongous books” he said sarcastically

“I’m going on a date with them in the library later, I borrowed them from my friend” I said exhaustedly, I have been studying a lot since the tests are coming up

He pouted at me

“A date? I’m jealous” I blushed at what he said

“You haven’t been in the practice room lately, you’re really busy” He said while frowning

“oh? Is that so? I haven’t noticed”  I said, I really didn’t know that I haven’t been practicing lately, maybe I was too busy

“Aish, yah fishy! You’re so clueless!” He suddenly blurted

I tilted my head to the side

“huh?”

“W-What? N-nothing I said nothing” he said while looking at the ground

I honestly have no idea how I got so close with this monkey, if it was a month ago I would’ve probably stuttered and blushed at every word he says, I can’t believe we actually got this close

I giggled at sudden stuttering

“Hyukkie! Would you want to go with me later? I found a great café, 5 minutes from here” I said remembering the café where I tasted their amazing blueberry cheesecake.

“Oh? Sure! I’d love to go” He said

I smiled at him in return as we walked down the hallway

Sungmin’s POV

I was planning to go to the cafeteria to buy some sweet pastry for lunch later, but when I passed by the music room, I heard faint noises that sounded like the piano playing, it was a sad melody, and as I got closer I heard a deep mellow and soft voice filling my ears, for a second I was frozen on my spot, as if the voice was too beautiful and if I moved I wouldn’t get to listen to it clearly, after about 5 seconds I finally gathered my wits and started walking towards the melody and the voice, as I slowly inched closer I saw a lean figure playing the piano, I didn’t recognize who it was as he was facing opposite to me, I walked inside the music room, but the figure didn’t even notice I was here, he was so immersed in singing, I closed my eyes as I listened to the voice, but as he sang, The voice suddenly got familiar, My curiosity was getting the best of me so I walked towards the figure and when I was inches apart from him I reached my hand out ready to touch his shoulder but when my hand was centimeters apart from his shoulder, My hand suddenly stopped, shivers ran down my spine as the figure shouts out of frustration, piano suddenly sounding pained as he pressed random keys in anger, pulling his hair in frustration and punching the chair he was sitting in hardly, causing the chair to crack, and causing his knuckles to bleed and redden at the impact, I froze on my spot with my hands reaching out on the figure as I felt fear taking over my body, in my horror the figure moved and brushed against my hands, the figure stopped as he felt the touch, and slowly the figure turned, I was still afraid of the figure so I backed away a little, but when the figure turned completely facing me, my eyes widened and so did his.

“Sungmin?” he spoke, almost a whisper

I didn’t move and I just stayed in my spot, fear in my eyes, he noticed this and stood up to walk towards me, I backed away with every step he took.

“hey, Sungmin come here, I’m not going to hurt you, how long have you been here?” he spoke softly

I relaxed hearing Kyuhyun’s soft voice

“K-kyuhyun? W-what’s wrong?” I asked remembering his thrashings earlier

“That was nothing you don’t have to worry about that” He said as he walked towards me, this time I didn’t back away

Kyuhyun’s POV

I walked towards Sungmin, I can see the fear in his eyes, I cursed mentally, why did he have to see that?

I held his hand and smiled at him

“Come on, let’s get out of here” I said as I brushed away a piece of hair covering his eyes

I felt relief as he smiled back at me and nodded his head, we started walking towards the classroom

I spaced out as I remembered the scene earlier, My lips twitched into a scowl

What the does he want this time?
