Author's Note: Sowwie for the delay everyone. This chapter was suppose to come out way before but I've been a bit busy *cough* lazy *cough*.
Anyways... I also apologize if the teasers are a bit lame but please bear with me. We should all get to know everyone's personality before the fun part starts, right? ^^ With that said, please welcome...

~ S H I N  J O N G K O O K ~

Ms. Kim had ordered for a meeting at exactly 11:50 am. She called for her most reliable student and Issy headed for the staff lounge. As she peeped her head into the extravagant room, Ms. Kim was just beginning to stir her coffee by the coffee maker.

Issy flashed a smile at the young woman before taking a seat and getting ready for the meeting. To her surprise, another student entered the room as well.

“Is this the staff lounge?”

Issy whipped her head back to meet eyes with a female student. From the lost look in her eyes Issy inferred she must have been a recent recruit.

Ms. Kim nodded and took a seat at the head of the table. “Yes it is. Please take a seat Hyunrin.” Ms. Kim motioned Hyunrin to take a seat while sipping into her coffee mug. Issy’s brows creased together in confusion.

“Now where’s Yongjae? I swear if he’s not here in the next-“

“I’m here!” a body quickly entered the room. His chest was heaving in and out in a rather quick pace as if he had just finished running a marathon. He his bottom lip and smiled innocently while he raised his left palm out, waving at the two students before him.

Ms. Kim, on the other hand, wasn’t very amused. “Sit down Yongjae. And if you’re ever late again, I’ll never consider giving you this chance anymore.” He quickly did as told so Ms. Kim could finally begin to tell them the reason for the meeting.

“There’s been a recent call about a child with a special ability. Judging from the amount of aura she’s giving off, it seems like she’s had that power for a long time. Maybe even since birth.”

“How is this even possible? I mean, weren’t the first mutants injected? How could she be born with it?” Yongjae was immediately alert now and so was Issy. Hyunrin eyed the two sunbaes, then back to Ms. Kim, lost at the reason for her attendance.

“I’m not quite sure yet. The phone call seemed a bit rushed but for now, I need you guys to go get her. Issy, you know the drill and Yongjae, don’t screw up this time.”

He nodded and clamped his lips together remembering the last incident. Issy glanced back at Hyunrin, waiting for Ms. Kim to tell everyone the new recruiter’s role.

“Excuse my rudeness,” Ms. Kim apologized. “This is Park Hyunrin. She’s new to the school and don’t have much control over her power yet. Hyunrin, this is Issy and Yongjae. They’ve both been here for a year so they know quite a bit.” Ms. Kim introduced. “Hyunrin is going to be joining you two today. Teach her everything she needs to know, ara?”

The sunbaes nodded and Ms. Kim got to her feet. “Get back before 1,” she ordered before sliding a vanilla-colored folder towards them.

Jongkook slammed the front door of his house shut. Daggers shot out of his eyes and he clenched onto the soccer ball in his hands.

“Go and don’t come back, you hear me!?” his father’s loud holler was loud enough for even the neighbors to hear. Jongkook bit his bottom lip and skidded up the road to get away from the horrid place he called home.

Jongkook kicked the ball in the air and up again with his knees. His attempt to escape depression didn’t last long.

A couple of familiar teenage boys walked up the road, all in soccer uniforms. They high fived each other and made jokes until they caught sight of Jongkook down the road. “Oh? Isn’t that Jongkook?” one of the boys announced making all pairs of eyes land on the lonely teenager.

“It is!” another replied. “Let’s go mess with him.”  They all jogged towards him and Jongkook stopped moving when he noticed their presence.

“What’s up Jongkook?” One of them playfully slapped his arm. “I see you’re still playing soccer.”

“Where’s your mom? I miss seeing her beautiful face,” another teased.

Jongkook’s hands slowly turned into fists, “She’s not my mom,” he said in a low, raspy voice.

“What was that?” they cupped their ears pretending not to hear him. “Who is she then? Your sister? Your girlfriend?”

Jongkook lifted his eyes and glared at them one by one.

“Yah, Yongjae! Stop pushing me you idiot!” Issy elbowed him in the ribs making Yongjae laugh.

“Okay okay. I’ll-“

Hyunrin’s sudden gasp caught the attention of her sunbaes and she quickly pointed at the scene located half a mile away from them. “Sunbae, I think that kid is getting bullied.”

At the sound of that word, Issy jerked her head in that direction and the two darted towards them, leaving Hyunrin behind.

“YAH! Get away from him!” Issy screamed as soon as she was close enough.

“Who the heck are they?” one of the bullies cocked a brow while the rest of them shrugged. Jongkook too, was surprised as he eyed them suspiciously, trying to see if he remembered their faces from anywhere.

Finally, Issy and Yongjae made it to the scene. “What is going on here?” Issy crossed her arms and glared at the bullies in uniforms.

“5 to 1 isn’t really fair, don’t you think?” Yongjae joined in.

“Oh yea? And what are you gonna do about that?” one of them remarked.

Issy scoffed. “I can do a lot,” she threatened. “But I won’t waste my energy on little, immature brats like you. So beat it.”

“Who do you think you are, telling us what to do.” The same bully stepped forward in Issy’s deirection. This sparked something inside Yongjae and he softly chuckled.

Yongjae stepped in front of Issy and pulled her behind him.  “Not a wise choice little man.” Issy furrowed her eyebrows and looked up at Yongjae, “I can deal with them! What are you doing!?” But he ignored her and kept his stance.

Suddenly, all the bullies clenched their hands around their heads as if they’ve all been struck with an unexpected migrane. Slowly, they all began groaning in pain which left Jongkook’s lips ajar as he glanced at Yongjae smirking. His eyes were now a dark blue, something Jongkook hadn’t caught earlier.

They slowly recomposed themselves as the migrane subsided. “It seems like you guys aren’t feeling that well. Maybe you should go on home,” Yongjae insisted, brushing the kids away.

Jongkook tried stealing another glimpse at his savior again and just like he thought: Yongjae’s eyes were originally a dark shade of brown. 

Author's Note : Cameo alert! Haha. Jongkook has been training for 1 year, that means he has been in the school for ONE YEAR already. This is just a recap of how he got recruited. So basically, going into the past for a bit in this teaser.

If Jongkook wasn't the person they were going to recruit... then who is?
