Chapter 15
A-PlusI walked to the door, putting on the security lock before opening it. “Oh!”
I quickly opened the door, ushering him in. “What are you doing here this early morn?” I asked, surprised.
“It’s already noon, Ruby,” Jaejoong said, taking off his sunglasses and face mask.
“Oh geurae?” I replied sheepishly, my hand went to the back of my head. “Heh.”
“I brought brunch. I knew you guys won’t wake up this early,” he said, showing me a big brown paperbag.
“Komowo!” I beamed, taking it from him. Placing it on the counter, I began taking the food out. “Oh! Joah!”
There are 3 cups of coffee, 3 muffins and a big bowl of salad. Wait 3? How did he know Jongsuk stayed over?
Jaejoong took a cup of coffee and drank. Oh. He didn’t. Aish.
Looking up, I said, “This will not feed my army. Take a seat, I’m gonna make some pancakes.”
“B..?”
I looked up and saw a groggy Key walking like a zombie towards us. “Oh? Hyung? What are you doing here?” Key asked. Holding his head, he groaned. “Noona, appo,” he said.
Great, the only time he called me noona is when he’s sick or he wants me to do something for him. Seemed like it’s both. Taking the cooked pancake off the stove, I went over to Key.
“Oppa, dya mind tending to the stove for awhile?” I asked Jaejoong. He smiled and walked over to the stove.
“Kwenchana?” I asked, feeling Key’s forehead.
“My poor baby. Sit down. I’ll make for you some honey water.”
Key obliged and sat. I was making some when I felt hands enveloping my waist. I turned around and saw Jongsuk’s head on my shoulder. My baby number 2.
“Noh kwenchana?” I asked, wriggling my shoulder to wake him up. Jongsuk still had his eyes closed. I sensed Jaejoong staring and looked up.
Jaejoong has his unreadable face again. I scrunched my face. I tried smiling but he went back to putting batter into the pan. I shrugged.
Jongsuk shook his head and tightened his hug, gaining back my attention.
I pat Jongsuk on the hand and said, “Go sit with Key.”
The tall guy dragged his feet with his eyes still closed and sat beside Key, who is now leaning his head on the table. Placing the drink in front of them, I said, “Drink up you two.”
Walking back to the stove, I took the spatula from Jaejoong. “Thanks, you go on and sit over with them too. I’ll be right up.”
With my hand on my hip and the other holding a spatula, I finished making the remaining pancakes. I felt an arm snake around my waist and subconsciously blurted, “Jongie, hajima. Go..”
“It’s oppa,” Jaejoong said, interrupting me. I tensed.
“O-oh,” I tried to sound normal. But this is not normal. I don’t think I have a close enough relationship with him for him to be doing this. I cleared my throat and calmly replied, “Wae?”
“Nothing, I just wanna hug you. I can, can’t I?” he asked, his face facing mine, dangerously close. I tried to focus on the task at hand. That is to make sure my pancakes don’t get burn.
“Jongsuk can,” he said, accusingly.
“Uh..s-sure,” I said. I think. If I didn’t know any better. I’d think he’s still groggy too. Or possibly jealous.
Nah.
“You have a smooth stomach,” he commented, rubbing mine. I in, feeling conscious. “Bwoh hae?”
“It’s flat too,” he said again, “I don’t know why you kept saying you’re fat.”
Finishing the last 1, I switched off the stove and quickly walk away, taking his arms off me. Ignoring him, I placed all the food on the counter and nudged the still sleeping kids off the table.
Key was eating a muffin with his eyes closed and Jongsuk, well, he’s still stoned.
“Jongie, ireona. Eat something,” I said. Feeding him some pancakes. Instead of opening his eyes, he opened his mouth instead. Aish, this kid. What happened to the suave man yesterday?
Seeing that Jaejoong was still standing, I said, “Oppa, take a seat. Have some pancakes,” I said, putting some on a plate and placing it in front of him.
Key finished his muffin and said, to basically no one, “I’m going back to sleep. Chalja hyung.”
Jaejoong and I laughed at the young man, who is now walking slowly to his room. Jongsuk who is chewing on hi
