Chapter 8: School in Uproar
 

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock mercilessly ringing. Time for school and it was Monday again and it’s time for another boring day to start. I shut the alarm clock slowly while rubbing my tired eyes.

I sleepily went out of my bed and fixed it. I was still yawning when I entered the bathroom. I quickly changed into my uniform which was ironed neatly by the maid.

I wore my heavy rimmed glasses and tied my hair into a messy two braided ponytails.

(A.N: Don’t mind her outfit, just imagine her, wearing the school Uniform)

I looked like a nerd while I was wearing my glasses with my hair tied to two braided ponytails while my fringe covered my face. But it didn’t bother me; this was my everyday get-up at school. Oh well, whatever.

I quickly grabbed my bag and went out of my room. I didn’t bother myself to look in the mirror anymore.

I went downstairs, fully awake now. I found the maid cooking breakfast. I already knew my Mom was still sleeping.

As soon as I sat down at the chair the maid quickly served my breakfast.

 “Young Miss, your chocolate milk.” the maid said while serving me, my favorite drink.

 “Thanks.” I said while blowing on the mug to make it cooler.

I love chocolate milk very much. Especially, when I drink it in the morning; it helps me energize.

I quickly ate my breakfast and brushed my teeth. I decided to watch the Television for a while, to entertain myself while waiting for Jae Min.

“Young Miss, your classmate is here.” the maid told me as she cleans the table. I quickly switched off the Television and headed out.

“Yo!” I greeted Jae Min as she waved at me.

“Yo!” She greeted back with a smile.

I rubbed both of my cold shaking hands, and tucked it inside my sweater to make it warmer. Jae Min and I were walking to school. We were already near the school, and Jae Min was still blabbering about my Dream guy.

“So how is it with your dream guy?” She said with a grin on her face.

“You’re in love~” She teased more.

“Tell me more about your dream about him”

Okay. She’s getting annoying now. She won’t stop bothering me since I told them that day. This was one of the reasons that I didn’t want to tell them, especially her.

“I now have something against you~”

I abruptly stopped on my tracks and she did too. I quickly whipped my head towards her with one of my brows raised.

“Really?” I said with a poker face, as usual.

“Yup~” She said with a grin as she skipped toward the school which was already in sight. I just face palmed and trailed behind her with a heavy sigh.

Both of us headed straight to the School’s hall. That’s our favorite hang out, when the classes haven’t started yet. We always meet up at that place in the morning.

I saw Ran Yeon and Seo Hyun talking in the corner of the hall, at the usual favorite spot. We loved corners very much which is weird to other people.

The hall was pretty empty except for some students who were chatting also; it’s still early in the morning, so I’m not shocked if most of the students were still sleeping.

“Morning~” Seo Hyun greeted us, and we greeted her back. “Morning~

We were in our own world again; making noises again, squealing and spazzing.

“YAH!”

Somebody suddenly shouted. I looked around to see the person who just shouted but I didn’t see anyone staring or pointing at your way. Aside from our group, they were seniors talking too in the opposite side of the hall. They looked like they were minding their own business so I just shrugged.

We continued to talk, making noises as usual.

“YAH!”

Somebody shouted again. Now all of us were getting irritated and became silent after that. We were looking around the hall, when a guy suddenly popped out of nowhere. We knew right there that he was the one who was shouting to our group as a wide grin was plastered on his face. He happily approached the seniors who were snickering from his actions.

We were shocked to see that he was the only guy in the group and immediately knew that he was gay. Our faces grew dark.

“Some people just don’t know how to shut up” he said with a loud voice, loud enough that we could hear his annoying voice. His friends agreed also as they were laughing and high-fiving with each other.

Oh no, he is provoking our group. That’s a very bad move, I repeat, a very bad move. I shook my head in pity. We don’t let other people push you around. Our group wasn’t popular for no reason.

We respect elders and also respect people who act that they should be respected. But if somebody acts as if they don’t want to be respected then we’ll follow that. It’s not that hard.

“It’s so disappointing that the one who shouted at us doesn’t know how to talk politely even though he’s-” Ran Yeon glanced at the boy before returning her attention back to us. “-Or it . . . wait what should I call-”

“Call it ‘IT’.” I answered her. Ran Yeon just nodded in agreement

“OK, as I was saying. IT doesn’t even know how to speak politely even though IT’s our senior” Ran Yeon said flipping her beautiful hair while giving him a deadly glare. Wow, if looks could kill, he’s probably dead right now. I snickered.

“Hey, we should show respect the OLD ONES.” Seo Hyun said as she said the last two words with force.

“We know that, and we should love our own kind too, but in this case it’s different, he’s a human too but it’s not that really obvious.” Jae Min said.

Then we heard gasps from him and he walked away with his friends-pretty embarrassed as other students witnessed the happening, we completely offended and humiliated him in front of people but we didn’t care. He started it first.

“Ha! In his face! He thinks that he could just push us around? He just messed with the wrong people.” Ran Yeon said while pumping her fists.

“Still, our day has been ruined.” Jae Min said fuming with anger.

There was silence in the air. Minutes had passed and the school bell rang, breaking the tensed atmosphere.

“See you later~” Seo Hyun and Ran Yeon said while Jae Min and I just nodded.

 Both of us hurriedly went to the hallways to get our necessary things at your lockers for our first period. I could hear students, especially girls squealing and spazzing and once again I just looked at them in horror and disgust.

“Kyaa~ they’re so handsome~” A girl squealed.

“I know right?! I hope they’re in my class” Another one squealed.

I can’t help but to be curious. Why is the school on uproar toda-? My thought was cut off when Jae Min dragged me to the classroom.

Both of us were sited at the left corner of the classroom next to the window as usual. I was sited at the right while Jae Min sited at the left where she was the nearest one to the window. The front, side and back desks near ours were empty; no one dared to sit there too.

Jae Min couldn’t get over of what just happened and she was blabbering about the thing that happened earlier when our teacher came in.

“Class I have an announcement to make” our teacher said.

Jae Min was talking to me as if our teacher hadn’t arrived yet.

“Someday, I’m going to pump his head to the ground until he’s knocked out-”

Our teacher was staring at us and Jae Min was still talking to me, now with a loud voice, not minding that our teacher is announcing something and thus, both of us were catching attention from our classmates. The teacher just shrugged off her with a sigh.

“As I was saying, they’re new transferees in this school-”

“Then, I’m going to pour alchohol+salt+lime on his wounded head-” Jae Min continued to talk to me, not bothering to stop talking even though she knew that the teacher was talking in front. I was just glancing at Jae Min and to the teacher with an amused expression.

Luckily, our teacher was already used to her personality now and she just ignored Jae Min and continued on her announcement.

“And some of them were put here”

The class suddenly grew in noise, girls were squealing. Happy? Maybe? I blinked at the commotion, and the boys started to groan in irritation. Why? I tilted my head to the side.

“Lastly, I’m going to chop their heads off and feed it to the alligator . . .   no wait, crocodiles are much bigger, so I’ll feed it to them.” Jae Min grinned.

I looked at her with amusement in my eyes. She was rather enjoying imagining the things she just mentioned earlier, in her mind, then she finally noticed the ruckus our classmates we’re making.

“They’re boys right?” a girl in class suddenly asked.

Jae Min who was so pissed off answered her question.

“NO, they’re gays, shut up!” she said out loud. “Where was I?” Jae Min said as she faces me.

I grinned at her, “Nice move dude!” I said giving her thumbs up. She grinned back.

The girl just glared at Jae Min; of course she couldn’t answer back because she was afraid to be embarrassed in the middle of class. Jae Min just pokes her tongue out to her.

Our teacher just face-palmed and heaved a heavy sighed.

“You could come in now~” our teacher hollered.

The door quickly opened and 6 boys came in.

My eyes widen and my mouth gaped open a little bit at the sight of them.

Whoa, so that’s why the school is in uproar today…
