Chapter 4: Unfortunate Visit
 

I was surprised to see my 3 best friends standing outside my house. It seems that they decided to visit me all of a sudden, so I let them in.

It’s Saturday again. One week had already passed since I dreamt about my Dream Guy. Time flies by so quickly.

I haven’t told anyone, not even my 3 best friends, about my dream. Well, I’m pretty afraid that they’d just laugh their butts off at me, saying that’s ridiculous and crazy or stuff like that.

I have been thinking this past week, and I’ve got the answer to my entire question. The reason that I was acting so familiar to him in my dream is because he’s my boyfriend. Sounds crazy right? But yeah, I think that’s it. And in my dream, it seems that I have come to visit him that night and I don’t know why I got there. But maybe in the future, it will probably come true. So, I decided to hopefully wait for that day to come.

It seems that in these past few days, I’ve been zoning out a lot due to my thinking and figuring out the questions about my dream. And I’m not the type of person to zone out. My best friends seems to notice my odd behavior but they haven’t asked me about it yet, but I know that one day, they’ll bombard me with questions, so I’ll jut wait for this one too.

Speaking of friends, I slowly turn my head around only to find them spazz so hard. Sigh. I’ve been zoning out again. It seems that they were spazzing of what they were watching on the Television.

I turned my head on where the Television is, Oh its Boyfriend. 

I quickly looked for Youngmin which is obviously my bias. A smile slowly crept up my face while watching him dance.

 Kyaa~ He’s so cute and handsome~ Now, I was trying to stop the grin that was forming on my lips. I snapped back to reality when I heard the ruckus my best friends were making.

“kyaa~  Minwoo-ah is so cute!” Ran Yeon stated as she focus on the Television.

“I know, but Jeongmin-ah is way cuter~” Jae Min said while shaking the person who was sitting beside her.

“No! Kwangmin-ah is way cuter!” Seo Hyun retorted as she let Jae Min shake her hard.

Oh boy, they’re being noisy big time. I thought as I watch them squeal like rabid fangirls.

 “Guys, please keep it qui-”

Before I could even finish my sentence, Mom came waltzing in.

“Could you girls keep it quiet here?!” Mom hissed as she eyed us girls one by one.

Mom can’t stand a noisy place. She doesn’t like it if were disturbing the whole neighborhood but she doesn’t mind that my friends are here, as long as I can work later on.

“Neh~” My friends sang together as wide grins were plastered on their faces. Oh gosh.

Mom nodded as she walked outside my room. As soon as they heard the door shut, they laughed all of a sudden. They were being noisy, alright. Mom doesn’t like it when you disobey her rules.

Uh-oh~ I smell trouble in the air. I shook my head, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."

I expected Mom to barge in my room again, which she totally did, now with an irritated face on.

“What did I just said?”

“To keep it quiet here?” Ran Yeon said innocently, having no idea that she just made a wrong move. I just face-palmed.

“Is that a question or an answer?” Mom is clearly annoyed.

“A-An Answer.” Ran Yeon stuttered, clearly scared. In fact, we were all scared.

I already told my friends that they can’t hang out in my house (but I kind of hoped that they would visit me more often) because it’s no fun in my house. They can’t shout, spazz, squeal, or anything related to being noisy, and because I can’t really entertain them that long because I still have work to do. But no, they didn’t listen to me, they were just plain stubborn. Probably today, they’ll learn a thing or two.

“We’re terribly sorry if were causing too much noise. I apologize on their behalf.” Our leader said as she bowed 90 degrees.

Seo Hyun’s leader instincts quickly kicked in. It’s really no wonder why she’s the leader.

“It’s good that you know. Better obey my rules, if you want to hang out here” Mom said with a face as she left my room.

Moments passed, and there was an awkward silence in the air. One of my friends decided to break the silence and that was Jae Min.

“Aigoo. . . Your Mom is so scary.” Jae Min said as she turned her head to me and patted my back.

“You have no idea.” I responded as I swatted her hands off my back.

They really don’t have any idea on how scary my Mom can be. Well, I’m still getting used to it yourself.

“Hey, let’s go to Jae Min’s house! It’s no fun here” Ran Yeon whined as she pouted her lips. Then she suddenly turns her head to me,

“No offence.” she said while waving her hands side to side and shaking her head.

“It’s OK. I know.” I laughed dryly.

I’m only kind of disappointed that they’ll have to leave so early. I wanted them to stay longer. But that would be so selfish of me.

I just noticed that they were being quiet and that’s weird.

“What?”

“Can we?” Seo Hyun spoke up.

Oh, they were waiting for my permission.

“Sure you can! I don’t mind but seriously girls, you don’t have to wait for my permission” I said cheerfully, trying my best to hide my disappointment.

“You sure?” Jae Min asked, her brows furrowed, not believing my words.

I just nodded vigorously.

“Okay! Let’s go!” Ran Yeon motioned us to stand up.

I shook my head, “I can’t go with you girls, sorry”

“Why?”

“Well, I’m sure my Mom won’t let me and I have to help her manage the store, remember?”

“Just make up an excuse. You have to come with us! You need to have fun once in a while; you are always locked in this house, and in your store!” Ran Yeon tried to convince me.

My friends aren’t being a bad influence to me, they just want the best for me and in this case, they want me to have fun, for once. What Ran Yeon told me had a point, I’m always locked up in the store or house. I rarely go outside, mall or anywhere. My usual routine everyday is wake up, eat, go to school, go home after school, work, eat, sleep and repeat. It was like I’m a robot but I have feelings and a heart.

“Sorry guys, I really can’t.” I sighed.

Ran Yeon and Seo Hyun started to nudge Jae Min. Oh No.

“Pwease come with us~ Pwease, Pwetty Pwease~?” Jae Min said while doing her puppy dog eyes to me. It never failed on persuading me to do something and no one can resist that cuteness of hers.

Great! I.Must.Resist!

1…

“Pwease~”

2…

“Pwetty Pwease”

3…

“Fine!” I sighed in defeat.

“Yehey~” They erupted in cheers.

“So, what should I tell her?”

“Tell her that we have a pair activity in Math, and we haven’t started on it yet” Jae Min said.

“But we already finished that at school yesterday, remember?” I retorted as I remember it, and it was not really a good memory. Both of us went home a little bit late than expected from the library. When I went to the store or rather my ‘third-home’ as I call it, I got lectured by Mom, because I was late.

Both of us had a hard time doing the activity that our teacher gave us and Math is not exactly my favorite subject and it’s my weakest subject so I actually had a hard time doing the activity even though it was in pairs.

“I know! Just use that excuse, she doesn’t know about it right?”

I bit my lip. Well, my Mom doesn’t know.

“Okay. I’ll just change my shirt”

Once I finished changing my shirt, all of us walked out of my room to head to the mini-store, where Mom is.

“Mom, we have a paired activity in Math and we haven’t started on it yet, so I’ll just go to her house, so that we could start on it, okay?” I excused smoothly while pointing to Jae Min who froze up on the spot.

“But you could do it here.” Mom tried to reason out.

“No, the materials that we need are at my house, so we need to go there.” Jae Min helped me.

Mom was left with no other choice but to agree. I smirked.

 “Fine, but you must be here before the sun sets, okay?

“Okay! Bye~”

And with that we hurriedly walked out the mini-store.
