Why would I even offer him money to be my surrogate? It doesn’t even make any sense! Why am I making it like he’s the only one who can carry my child?

I have to admit that I was very shocked when he accepted my check. I really thought he’s the kind of guy who likes to earn his own money because the way he speaks shows how much of a strong person he is.

What even shocked me the most is that all of my beliefs went out the window when he rejected being my child’s surrogate. Even though I’m rich, I have never once used my money to get something I want. Never in my life did I use money to solve my problems or to achieve success. But how come I did it with Kyuhyun? What is it about him that made me do such thing and thus making me hate myself right now.

Was my hunch that strong to make me do something so unlike myself? Am I going to regret it later on? Is Kyuhyun the appropriate person to give me a child?

 

With that in mind, Choi Siwon thought it was best to meet with Kyuhyun again to get to know him a little better. Maybe not on a personal level, but at least the things that could affect the process of their contract, but since he didn't have his number, he decided to call Heechul.

“Heechul-ssi”

> Siwon-ssi... I just talked to Kyuhyun. He told me you’re still going with your choice? <

“He said that?”

> Yes of course. Let me assure you that you won’t regret it. Kyuhyun is a good candidate and I know he can give you a beautiful and a healthy baby <

I see he didn’t tell you about the extra money...

“I hope so”

> Are you calling to confirm it? <

“That and I would like you to set up another meeting for us. Preferably outside work because I still need to ask him some questions”

> I think you two need to get to know each other better so let’s do that. First, we need you back in Sapphire Hope to sign Kyuhyun’s contract <

“I’m free tomorrow afternoon”

> Sounds good. See you at 2pm? <

“Ok”

> Great! See you Mr.Choi <

When Siwon hanged up, he leaned on his chair with a deep sigh while loosening up his tie. His mind was working fast and even though he decided to go with Kyuhyun, that something about him that he couldn’t figure out before, was still lingering in his head.

I’ll see you soon, Kyuhyun.

What Siwon didn't know was that when he was talking to Heechul on the phone, Kyuhyun was actually listening to the whole conversation.

Thirty Minutes Ago:

When he left Siwon’s office, Kyuhyun felt really bad about accepting the money and how things turned out for him and he needed someone to cheer him up.

When Kyuhyun arrived at Sapphire Hope, he was glad that his friend was free to see him. So barging into his office like he always did, because Heechul’s secretary had a little crush on him, he found him immersed in some documents and he immediately felt a bit guilty to disturb him.

“Oh Kyuhyun-ah, come in”

The older exclaimed once he caught on Kyuhyun stepping into his office. He placed the papers in his hand back on the desk and leaned on his chair.

“Hey hyung” Kyuhyun greeted him while taking a seat on the armchair next to the older’s desk. Heechul could sense something was wrong in his dongsaeng’s tone especially when the latter was avoiding his gaze.

Should I tell him? He will be so disappointed in me... I’m starting to regret accepting that money, maybe I should return it? But if I do... aah I really don’t want to think about it.

“Kyu? Is everything okay? What did that Siwon guy say?”

Heechul worriedly asked, snapping Kyuhyun out of his thoughts as he flashed the older a faint smile.

“He said he wants me to be his baby’s surrogate”

Heechul cheerfully clapped his hands together, happy about the news. However, his excitement soon vanished when Kyuhyun didn’t look happy about his new offer.

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy about it?”

Ok this is it Kyuhyun... You’re gonna tell him or not?

“I’m okay, hyung. I’m just a bit nervous I guess”

Kyuhyun smiled, and even though it wasn’t completely from the heart, but still it was sincere because he was glad his hyung was happy for him.

“Don’t be! I’ll be by your side through it all” Heechul assured him before stepping from behind his desk and walking toward Kyuhyun. He crouched next to him and pulled him into a hug.

I’m sorry, hyung... I didn’t mean to lie to you but I don’t want you to hate me...

“Thanks, Chullie hyung” and I’m really sorry...

The sound of ringing interrupted their little moment and Heechul had to pull away to reach his phone.

“Siwon-ssi”

Siwon? Choi Siwon? Why is he calling? Is he going to tell Heechul hyung about the money he offered me?

“I just talked to Kyuhyun. He told me you’re still going with your choice?”

Kyuhyun was nervously listening to the conversation, curious to why Siwon was calling Heechul. He rubbed his sweaty hands together while holding his breath as he intently listened to each word his hyung was saying.

“Yes of course. Let me assure you that you won’t regret it. Kyuhyun is a good candidate and I know he can give you a beautiful and a healthy baby”

“Are you calling to confirm it?”

Yes please...

When Siwon asked to meet Kyuhyun, Heechul was silent for a second, eyeing Kyuhyun and thinking if it was a good choice to let them meet outside work since he was very protective over him. However, so to not risk Siwon changing his mind again, at least before they signed the contract with Kyuhyun, he agreed.

Kyuhyun on the other hand, was biting the inside of his cheek, noticing how Heechul was sharply looking at him and it really gave him goosebumps thinking that Siwon told him about their little exchange.

“I think you two need to get to know each other better so let’s do that. First, we need you back in Sapphire Hope to sign Kyuhyun’s contract”

What? Know each other? What did he say?

Kyuhyun’s eyes popped out and he wanted to know what Siwon was saying.

“Sounds good. See you at 2pm?”

“Great! See you Mr.Choi”

Kyuhyun jumped from his seat and was soon standing in front of Heechul waiting for him to explain whatever Siwon had told him.

“Don’t be so nervous. The man wants to meet with you again but this time it’s to know you a little better”

Kyuhyun could finally let go of his breath since Heechul didn't sound mad at him and so it only meant Siwon didn’t tell him about the money.

“B-But why? I don’t want to see him”

Kyuhyun cursed himself mentally for that, especially when Heechul narrowed his eyes, seeming suspicious about his words.

“Why? Did he do something wrong?”

“No. I just don’t like rich people, you know that”

Kyuhyun tried to cover it up while smiling at him and Heechul kept staring at him for a couple of seconds before deciding to shrug it off. He knew how Kyuhyun felt about rich people so he didn'twant to keep talking about it.

“Well, you’re going to have to endure it for a while... nine months to be precise”

Kyuhyun slumped back onto the chair, hiding his face behind his hands as the thought of having to deal with that man for nine months seemed annoying to him.

“He’s going to be here tomorrow at 2pm, you guys will sign the contract and then you can decide where to go after to ‘get to know each other’”

Heechul explained, adding the last sentence with his fingers doing the quote thing, emphasizing on it and leaving Kyuhyun rolling his eyes at him before standing up again and taking a deep breath.

“Fine. 2pm tomorrow”

Heechul patted him on the head a couple of times, earning a slap on the hand which he only received with a smirk.

“Now go, I have work to do”

“As in calling, Hangeng hyung?” Kyuhyun , leaving the older blushing and kicking him out of his office while the younger was heartily laughing at him.

The next morning, Siwon didn't go to work and instead headed to the clinic as he had a lot of tests to run. Sapphire Hope had given him a list of tests he should do to see if he was healthy enough to have a baby since he would be going with his own , and so it needed to be tested to know if it was not sterile or infected.

Blood test, DNA test, STD test... Siwon had no idea that it would be that complicated but he kept in mind the baby he would be having and that gave him strength. Kyuhyun also came up to his mind a couple of times, imagining he also went through a lot of tests for the sake of carrying his baby, which made him remember a certain article he read the other day about how there was a chance for the surrogate to reject the embryo, but when he asked his doctor, he said it’s a long shot for that to happen.

So, finally done, he still had to wait a bit more for the test results, which his doctor was kind enough to talk to the lab to work on them as soon as possible. Almost an hour later, he was called to his doctor’s office who informed him that everything was good and that nothing was holding him from having his own child.

The afternoon came by quickly for Kyuhyun and he was then dragging his feet to Sapphire Hope to sign the contract.

Once he stepped into the meeting room, he couldn't help but remember the first time he met Siwon and that made him laugh a bit at how stupid his client looked that day, but as he recalled their second meeting, he couldn't help but frown at the memory.

Walking toward Heechul, he took a seat next to him and a second later there was a knock on the door, followed by Siwon entering the room.

“Good afternoon”

Kyuhyun kept his head low, eyes on the table as he tried to compose himself before looking at his client. He didn't want to look weak especially after how things went out the last time they met.

“Good afternoon, Siwon-ssi. I see you brought someone?”

Kyuhyun’s curiosity won over him as he peeked his head to see who Siwon brought with him but he regretted it right away because his gaze met Siwon’s instead. The younger immediately straightened up his pose, putting a strong look on his face.

“Yes. This is my friend Lee Hyukjae”

Hyukjae bowed before the both walk to the seats that Heechul motioned for them. The latter was sitting on the head of the table, while the guests sit across from Kyuhyun.

“Oh” Hyukjae suddenly exclaimed when his sight landed on Kyuhyun, causing everyone in the room to fix their eyes on him, watching how he was staring intently at the younger.

“Is something wrong?” Siwon asked in somewhat a whisper, causing Hyukjae to snap out of it and explain his sudden reaction.

“I’m sorry. You just look like someone I knew” Siwon’s gaze traveled to Kyuhyun and he was welcomed by a very sweet smile that was making him question if the boy he met before was the same one in front of him right now.

However, when Kyuhyun felt two eyes on him, he shifted his gaze to find Siwon staring at him and soon his smile disappeared and was replaced by a thin line while his orbs turned fierce leading to a frown to paint Siwon’s forehead.

“Is it possible to find someone as beautiful as this little guy here?” Heechul dramatically exclaimed, trying to brighten up the mood and it earned him a playful smack on the arm from his dongsaeng.

Kyuhyun rolled his eyes at his hyung with blushful cheeks while a bright smile was decorating his face which only made Siwon all the more confused.

Here you go again acting all sweet... Is that who you really are? But then if you were you wouldn’t have accepted my money.

Siwon closed his eyes for a second, gathering his thoughts together before he cleared his throat and spoke “Shall we start this thing?”

Kyuhyun glared at him instantly and it didn't go unnoticed by the older. Heechul and Hyukjae were just staring at the two with question marks on their faces, not daring to ask.

Luckily Heechul’s secretary, Sungmin, interrupted as he brought them the papers that needed to be signed. He walked over to Heechul first, handing him a copy of the contract then another one for Siwon and a last one for Kyuhyun.

The girly like secretary blushed when Kyuhyun playfully winked at him, emanating a small gasp from him before he hurriedly bowed and left the room as his heart was about to explode.

Heechul and Kyuhyun exchanged knowing looks before they started chuckling, not noticing how the whole scene had made Siwon tense up as he let out a mocking laugh before commenting.

“I see you have a secret admire, Kyuhyun-ssi” It was more of a statement than a question and it managed to make Kyuhyun glance at him with a sarcastic smile before they both fell into another stare battle.

Hyukjae was the one to break the awkwardness as he pinched Siwon’s thigh to get his attention. The latter looked at him and understanding what his friend wanted, he sighed before shifting his focus to the contract.

Kyuhyun didn't need to read the contract because he trusted his hyung and he knew he could never do something that would hurt him. Thus, he was bored to death waiting for Siwon to finish his slow reading. He glanced at Heechul from time to time muttering ‘slow’ and ‘is he really a businessman?’, and he blushed when Hyukjae caught him, causing him to shyly bend his head low in embarrassment.

Heechul on the other hand, was holding his laughter because of Kyuhyun’s childish comments since he didn't want to seem unprofessional.

Fifteen minutes later, Siwon finally pulled out his pen from the inside of his blazer and signed the contract. He needed to read thoroughly each word because this was more important than any business deal he had ever made. This was his child we’re talking about and he needed to cover up all the rights especially Kyuhyun’s rights toward his child which the younger already signed a document giving up on his parental rights over the unborn child.

Handing the contract back to Heechul, the latter clapped his hands together under the table in excitement for his dongsaeng more than it was for the company. Kyuhyun on the other hand, swallowed the limp in his throat because now that Siwon signed the papers, it felt more real.

Heechul passed Siwon the other copies to sign as well and a few minutes later it was all confirmed and Kyuhyun couldn't help but feel nervous. Siwon obviously noticed because he stood up and stretched his hand for him.

Kyuhyun looked at him dumbfounded before he stood up as well and hesitantly shook his hand. However, when the latter smirked at him and tightened his grip, Kyuhyun’s hesitation was gone and replaced by determination instead, especially when Siwon spoke.

“I hope I won’t regret this”

Siwon calmly stated, causing Kyuhyun’s eyes to pop out a bit but he gritted his teeth together and giving the older another fake smile while tightening his hold as well.

“Likewise”

Once again, if Heechul didn’t clear his throat, the two males would’ve stayed in that position for who knew how long.

“Siwon-ssi, when do you want to start the pregnancy process?”

That made Kyuhyun free his hand and cross his arms over his chest, trying not to look nervous because that question was seriously freaking him out.

Siwon looked at Kyuhyun for a second, sensing something strange in the orbs that were trying to avoid his gaze, then putting his hands in his pockets, he turned to face Heechul.

“The sooner the better”

Something in the pit of Kyuhyun’s stomach twisted at that answer. He could sense the confidence in the older’s tone and it made him believe that Siwon really wanted this baby. But yet again, it also made him wonder to why a rich, handsome guy like him would need surrogacy to have a child. Something was making him suspicious but he shrugged it off because no matter what the reason was, he needed this chance and he was going to give it his best until the day he delivered the supposed baby.

Walking outside the office, Heechul and Siwon were upfront discussing some details, and Hyukjae and Kyuhyun following from behind.

“He’s not as scary as he seems”

Hyukjae exclaimed when he noticed how Kyuhyun’s eyes were digging holes into his friend’s back. Kyuhyun fidgeted, blushing for being caught again, but he couldn't t help but feel comfortable around Hyukjae. He didn't have that weird aura like Siwon and he made him feel just like when Donghae was around.

“I really doubt that” He mischievously said with a slight roll from his eyes, causing Hyukjae to chuckle while patting his shoulder a couple of times.

“You have nine months to be sure”

Kyuhyun smiled at him with a slight shake of his head. He liked this Hyukjae and he couldn't help but wonder how a person like him could be friends with a person like Siwon.

Before he could analyze that question, Heechul nudged him on his side and when he looked at his surroundings, he found them already standing in front of the elevator. He felt relieved that the meeting was over and that he would have a Siwon-free afternoon. However, to his dismay, that was not the case.

“So where are you two going?”

Heechul asked, making Kyuhyun knit his eyebrows trying to process the question. The younger pointed with his index finger to his chest while asking “me?”

Heechul nodded before speaking “You and Siwon-ssi”

Kyuhyun’s eyes bulge out, shifting his gaze to look at Siwon who was typing something on his phone, uninterested of what he had to say.

“W-why?” He stutteringly asked, emitting a tsk from Siwon who didn't even raise his head to look at him.

“Remember? Getting to know each other a little bit?”

Heechul explained, causing Kyuhyun to silently curse at himself for forgetting about it. He pleadingly looked at his hyung to get him out of this, but the latter squinted his eyes at him before nudging him again.

The younger pouted, showing his best puppy eyes, and at that moment Siwon decided to look up and see what was going on. His eyes widened when his sight met Kyuhyun’s adorable face and his mind was confused once anew, yet again finding himself wondering about that something that he still couldn't figure out about the younger.

Kyuhyun sighed after checking his watch. He then looked up at Siwon but he ended up narrowing his eyes when he found the latter giving him a weird look. Siwon quickly cleared his throat and averted his gaze away.

“Shall we go, Siwon-ssi?”

Kyuhyun asked between his gritted teeth while forcing a smile on his face, but Siwon pressed the elevator button, not minding to answer the question. The younger grunted in irritation before whispering ‘you owe me’ to Heechul then stepping inside the lift.

Once in front of the building, Hyukjae excused himself because he had work to do and he needed to go back to the office, leaving the two men, who obviously weren't so fond of each other, to just stand there aloof.

A few seconds later with no words, Kyuhyun stomped his feet in annoyance, looking at Siwon with pierced eyes before walking to the parking lot.

The older, bewilder, just followed him and when he was him stop, he realized what the younger wanted. So he walked to his car, unlocked it and stepped inside without even speaking a word to Kyuhyun.

The latter just stared at him with mouth agape, throwing his arms in the air in disbelief. First at the way the latter just walked away from him, and second, because the man had a white Audi r8... as if he wasn't arrogant enough.

Please god, help me... How am I supposed to get through nine months with someone like that?... I hate rich people!

Kyuhyun made another stomp but harder this time, accompanied by an annoyed growl before approaching the car and getting inside as well.

Watching the younger venting out his frustration on the poor seat belt, Siwon tapped the steering wheel, waiting for him to tell him where they would be going. However, Kyuhyun only focused on the side window, a few curses falling out of his mouth but they were inaudible so Siwon wasn’t able to understand what the younger was mumbling.

“Gangnam street”

At last, Kyuhyun could speak. He turned to look at Siwon when the latter wasn’t starting the car yet, finding him staring at him with a blank look on his face.

“There’s a coffee shop there”

He explained, but Siwon was still just staring at him. However, before the younger could snap at him, Siwon turned to face the road as he started the engine and drove off.

When they reached the said street, Kyuhyun motioned for Siwon to park the car in front of a small coffee shop called ‘Cup of joy‘.

Stepping inside the shop, Siwon examined the interior, tilting his head to one side as he scanned each detail of the somehow crowded coffee shop. Being an owner of a big coffee chain, he couldn't help but check out his competition even though it didn’t look like one at all.

When he was done with his observation, he turned to his side to find Kyuhyun wasn’t standing next to him anymore. He let his eyes roam around the place, and finally he caught the younger already upstairs in the second floor, sitting on one of the tables that was overlooking the window.

He took a deep breath before heading upstairs as well and taking a seat across his surrogate. The latter had his arms crossed over his chest while he was looking outside the window, just watching people passing by the busy street.

The older didn't say anything at first. His eyes were fixed on the smaller man in front of him, with eyes narrowed as if trying to read what was on his mind. A few minutes later, he decided to start a conversation.

“Why di-“

Kyuhyun was looking at him waiting for what he had to say, but before Siwon could finish his question, he was cut off.

“Kyu! What are you doing here?”

A tall handsome waiter excitedly asked, his sight was only on Kyuhyun who smiled at him before answering.

“Chang, this is Choi Siwon”

Changmin was still looking at Kyuhyun, but when he processed that name in his mind, his mouth formed an O as he remembered Kyuhyun telling him about the surrogacy job and the client.

He shifted his gaze to look at Siwon and his eyes kind of popped out when the man was nothing like he had imagined. Of course Choi Siwon was a very well known businessman and he had seen his pictures several times in magazines, but he never saw him in person. Changmin had to admit that the man was indeed handsome and those pictures were real and not photoshoped as he thought.

“Nice to meet you, Mr.Choi”

Changmin bowed at Siwon, and the latter just nodded his head at him. The waiter then turned to his friend and muttered something along the lines of how hot Siwon was, and that left Kyuhyun blushing as he stepped over Changmin’s foot.

The latter winced in pain but the glare he got made him clear his throat and pull out his tiny check pad to take their orders.

“What would you like to have, Mr.Choi?”

Siwon started reading the menu since earlier he was busy trying to read Kyuhyun’s thoughts. A couple of seconds later, he looked up at Kyuhyun, who was waiting for him to make an order, and asked.

“Since you seem familiar with this place, what’s good in here?”

Kyuhyun couldn't help but tsk and roll his eyes at the question that even though it seemed innocent, he knew there was a tint of mocking in it. However, before he could answer, Changmin beat him to it.

“Kyuhyun actually works here”

Siwon was clearly surprised as he didn’t know Kyuhyun had another job other than being a surrogate. He shifted his gaze to the younger, who was once again looking outside the window trying to stop himself from retorting at him, before he turned to look at Changmin.

“So you’re colleagues?” He unsurely asked, scolding himself mentally the second that question came out of his mouth since he wasn't supposed to care about the waiter’s relationship with Kyuhyun.

“Yes slash best friend thank you very much”

Siwon looked back at Kyuhyun who was now looking at him as well, curious yet confused to why the older was asking such thing. The younger couldn't seem to figure out how Siwon could turn from interested to uninterested in just a matter of seconds.

“What he said” He confirmed, emitting a tiny squeal from Changmin who looked very happy right now.

“Wait until Minho hears it. He’ll be so jealous” Changmin blurt out before sitting on the edge of the chair where Kyuhyun ws sitting and draping his arm over the latter’s shoulder.

Something inside Siwon twisted at the view. Even though they clearly said they were friends, still he found the way Changmin was acting around Kyuhyun very disturbing. He wanted to throw a witty comment about waiters slash customers rule, but he didn't get the chance when Kyuhyun spoke.

“Chang, if you don’t take off your hand right now, I swear I’ll break it”

That statement made Changmin withdraw his arm immediately and protectively hold it against his chest while pouting his lips. It also made Siwon smile on the inside as he surprisingly felt relieved somehow.

The surrogate checked his watch and realizing his shift was going to start in thirty minutes, he decided to get this meeting over with.

“I know you think this place might not be as good as your coffee shop, but it's not bad either”

Kyuhyun truthfully spoke his mind, causing Siwon to knit his eyebrows together clearly offended. He didn’t say anything about this coffee shop and he was upset that Kyuhyun thought that bad of him. Isn't he the one who accepted money from me? Why is he speaking like he's full of pride?

However, not in the mood to argue, he took a deep breath before ordering an espresso. Changmin rose from the chair, writing down the order and turning to Kyuhyun “The usual?”

Kyuhyun nodded with a faint smile and Changmin left them to go prepare their orders.

They kept silent for a few minutes until Changmin came back with their drinks, but this time he disappeared right away as he sensed the weird aura coming from the two.

Siwon glanced at Kyuhyun who picked up his cup of hot cocoa, blowed on it before taking a sip and pulling away with a satisfied sound that left the older amused by that little act. 

“Why are you working here?” He finally dared to ask, causing Kyuhyun to put his glass back on the table while letting out a bitter laugh.

“To make a living obviously”

Siwon’s eyes turned sharp at the sarcasm in the younger’s tone. He was trying to start a normal conversation but Kyuhyun was making it difficult.

He took a sip from his coffee, letting its taste linger in his tongue and thinking it was actually not that bad, before he looked back at Kyuhyun and asked again.

“Obviously... but you’re a surrogate. Isn’t that enough?” and you took a big check from me...

“You know, not everyone is born with a golden spoon in their mouth”

Kyuhyun blurt out before turning his focus back to his drink. If one thing he hated the most was rich people and how they always use money to get what they want. So far, Siwon had proven to be one of them.

Siwon was furious by that sentence and he could only tighten his grip on his cup of coffee, trying to calm himself, while the younger was oblivious to how the older's face expression had tensed up.

“You don’t know anything about me” Siwon whispered in a cold tone, drawing Kyuhyun’s attention back to him. The latter stared at him, noting how the older’s dark orbs were turning sharp yet something in them was making him confused.

“Well, you don’t know anything about me either”

Their eyes locked on each other, no one was daring to look away. Their faces were confronting different kinds of emotions but no one ws willing to give up. Suddenly, Changmin came back to their table and that was how Kyuhyun broke his gaze and noticed the worried look on his friend’s face.

“What’s wrong?”

“Jonghyun is hurt and Yesung hyung told me to come and get you because we need someone behind the cash register”

Kyuhyun stood up, worry written all over his face “Is Jonghyun okay?”

"He hurt his wrist but he'll be okay"

Siwon couldn't t help but wonder how many names were there in Kyuhyun’s life and he wasn't liking it that much. He still wanted to talk to the younger even though it wasn't going the way he imagined, but looked like the surrogate had an important matter to do.

“Siwon-ssi?”

Siwon looked at Kyuhyun when he heard his name, and he was surprised by the look the younger was giving him and thus making his orbs soften again, forgetting what they were talking about earlier. Kyuhyun sounded like he was asking permission to leave, which was very unlike him in the older's opinion.

“Do what you have to do”

Siwon simply said as he put his hands inside his suit pockets. Kyuhyun then motioned for Changmin to go ahead, telling him that he would join him in a minute. He then sat back in his previous chair and looked at Siwon.

“When do you want to... you know” Kyuhyun asked, a blush creeping on his cheeks when he thought of what was about to happen.

“Get you pregnant?”

Siwon bluntly asked, leading Kyuhyun’s face to turn even redder. The thought itself was scary but saying it out loud was very frightening

“Yes”

“Whenever you want to”

Kyuhyun tilted his head to one side, trying to figure out a date because he needed to get this over with.

“Well, tomorrow I can’t because it’s a weekend and the shop will be busy. How about the day after tomorrow?”

Siwon slowly nodded his head while trying to recall if he had something important that day because obviously he should accompany Kyuhyun to the hospital. Besides, he also needed to give his , which he didn't want to think about right then.

“Ok. Sounds good”

Kyuhyun nervously rubbed his hands together with an ‘Ok’ before standing up again to leave. However, before doing so, he turned to look at Siwon again and said.

“You don’t need to pay. It’s on me”

Siwon was startled by the sudden kindness that was yet again showing another side of Kyuhyun, but even so, he couldn't accept it.

“It’s okay. I’ll take care of it”

Kyuhyun sighed deeply before bending down, hands on the table to support his body, then looking straight into Siwon’s eyes, he said…

“I know you’re rich and all, but don’t worry it’s not that expensive as your coffee. So I’ll pay, can’t you just go with it?”

Their faces were close to each other for the first time and Siwon couldn't help but find himself mesmerized by the younger’s features. His eyes wandered all over the latter’s face, noting a cute frown between his eyebrows and feeling pleasant because he was the one behind it.

“If you insist”

Kyuhyun was going to retort at him, but he decided to let it go. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in and out before opening them again and forcing a smile on his face. He then straightened up and started walking away. When he reached the stairs, he turned around and said “Don’t forget to leave a tip for Changmin. I’m only paying for the drinks”

He didn't wait for Siwon to answer as he disappeared down the stairs leaving the older staring at his back with a kind of content expression on his face.

Cho Kyuhyun... You’re quite feisty, aren’t you?
