She is crying his heart out. It felt like it had been broken into a million pieces. Her mind is blank and all she knew is that his leaving.

“Gui er what are you doing here in the dark?”

“None of your business.” She retort without looking at him.

Why it had to be him? Why is he the one beside him now and not Yu wei. She felt tears starts falling from her eyes again.  

Aaron moves closer to her yet she never gave him a single look. He curses under his breath as he watches the tears fall from her eyes. He clenches his fist as silence filled the air.

Gui gui felt something warm touch her cheeks gently brushing away her tears.

“Go away!”

“I don’t want.”

“I don’t have time for you.”

“You always don’t have time for anyone than him.”

“A girl’s tears are priceless that’s why it should rarely be shown.” He bit his lower lip to control his anger.

“A man who doesn’t know your worth is not worth any of your tears.” He stared at her wet cheeks and sigh.

“It’s not like he wanted to leave me… it’s just that…”

“Stop making excuses for him. He’s leaving you! If he didn’t want to leave he can stay; no one is forcing him to go. It’s his decision.” Aaron shouts at her but he regrets it as soon as soon as tears fall down her eyes again.

He didn’t want to hurt her; he just wants her to understand. She needs to accept the fact that Yu wei is leaving. Again he felt rage towards his cousin.

“He’s stupid.” he said then stared at her.

“He’s so stupid. How could he do this to you?” He shuts his mouth and brushes his tears.

“I could never be Yu wei I never intend to be. But I could also be a friend if ever you need me.”

Aaron turned his back at her. He can’t take seeing her like that any more. Maybe she needs sometime alone even for just a while. He stops when he felt someone tagging his sleeves.

“Don’t go.” He heard her whisper. “I don’t want to be alone.”

Aaron felt the back of his shirt getting wet. Her head is now resting on his back while his hand is holding his sleeves. They stayed in that position for a long time. After a long stressful day she found comfort in the least possible person. Gui gui smile in between her tears.

“Thank you Aaron.”

Ever since that day Aaron remained in Gui gui’s side. Gui gui found the a friend in the most unexpected way but she is very happy. She learned to value him and laugh with him when ever his teasing her. Soon she had regained her playful and happy self. She may have been hurt but she still believes in love and it’s all thanks to her Best friend.

Aaron on the other hand kept going out with girls. Every time his with them is try to find something. He tried to find her in every girl he met cause he knew no matter how close she is he would never have her.
