Early in the morning Aaron went to Gui gui’s house to pick her up. It’s been there routin
to go to school together. Aaron presses the buzzer and after a few minute a woman who
resembles with Gui gui came out. She lets out a smile,

“Good morning Aunty. Is Gui gui is still in her bed?”

Gui gui’s mother smiled back at him.

“Good morning Aaron but you’re already late Gui gui just left the house she said she had
something at do at school today. Didn’t she tell you?” she apologetically explains.

Aaron felt disappointed. But still he lets out a smile and respectfully bids his farewell.

Aaron’s POV: “That’s weird Gui gui never goes to school without me”

Whenever Gui gui needs to go to school early she’ll call and request (more precisely
order him) him to pick her up. Aaron can’t help but smile as he remembers her actions.

“Hi best” Aaron greets as he instantly place his arms around Gui gui’s Shoulder. It was a
habit he never fails to out grow. He sure feels comfortable having her near him.

“This is not your class, Aaron” Gui gui said in a cold tone.

Aaron disregards her comment. Her classmate were use to see the acting like that. Their
bickering was a common sight. Aaron look at her he somewhat felt something was different.

“How was your cold?” Gui gui ask in a concerned tone.

Aaron felt guilty and lets out a shy smile.

“I feel much better now.” He said while avoiding her eyes.

“Oh glad to hear that… how about your date, how was it?” Gui gui ask with a sarcastic smile.

“Oh it was… Wait how did you…?”

Aaron didn’t know what to say. He’s use to this kind of situation. He’s an expert in
making excuses yet when he saw the anger and pain in Gui gui’s eyes he suddenly become loss with words.

“Stop wasting my time and just leave me alone.”

“I – “

Gui gui glared at him. Aaron couldn’t do anything but leave. He knew very well that it’s
not the right time to explain to her and beside he still didn’t know how to explain. Gui gui
is the type of person who couldn’t see reason when mad.

“Gui gui wait” Aaron call as he saw her arriving at her house. He had been waiting for her for two hours already.

Gui gui look at him.

“What do you want?”

“I came here to explain…” Aaron start.

Gui gui took a deep breath. No matter what he’s still her best friend he’s still entitled to a
benefit of a doubt. Just one valid reason…

“Ok why did you go on a date last night?”

“I know I lied to you but I have my reason” Aaron admitted she again took a deep breath.

“D-did something happen last night?”

“I admit she tried but I swear nothing happen I – I back out by the last minute” Aaron confess.

“Why?”

Aaron looks at her.

“Why did you back out?” Gui gui ask with a blank expression.

“I did that because…”

Aaron unable to continue; God how he want to tell her how he feels is only he didn’t think of her reaction.

Aaron’s POV: “Because of you… how could I probably say that she’ll surely freak out?”

“I knew it. God Aaron I’m your best friend how could you probably do this to me? I
could have forgiven you even if you didn’t give me this lame excuses. A simple sorry
would have been enough.” Gui gui said in an angry tone.

“Gui gui wait” Aaron hold her arm. He could see tears forming in her eyes.

“If only I knew that your ain’t serous I wouldn’t have wasted my time. It’s fine with me
if you didn’t want to change but what piss me off is you lied to me and you just lost my
trust. Wu Genglin I don’t want to be your friend anymore.” Gui gui said as she shook her
arm off from his hold and enters the gate.

Aaron just watches her. He stands there stoned.
