Aaron can’t sleep that night no matter
how hard he tries. Tomorrow he’ll be
separated from her.2 months… 2 whole
months without her. Gui gui promise to
stay contact with him but still it is not
enough. He wants her to be here with him. 
He gets up of his bed and look at the clock. 
It’s already 10:45 PM he took a picture beside the side table. 
It’s their picture; it was taken in his house. 
Gui gui was wearing a cute white tops
and faded blue jeans which was torn in both knees. 
Her shoulder length hair is as black as the night. 
He is hugging her from behind. They are both smiling. 
They look so close in the picture. Aaron smile. 
He suddenly finds himself driving his car on a very familiar road. 
His mind is only field with thoughts of her. 
He just needs to see her.

Gui gui’s house was dark and quiet. 
He cross the open yard and scaled the house. 
He smiles upon seeing the secret ladder
that is connected to Gui gui’s room. 
Gui gui love to sneak out of her house
when she’s bored he’s the only person
who knows about it. He looks trough the glass window. 
His breathing suddenly stops. 
He saw her in a small bed her cover was
on the floor and her sheet is twisted around her legs. 
He watches her twitched restlessly. 
She wasn’t a sound sleeper it was an obvious thing. 
He could still remember how often she
hugs him when in her sleeps. He felt
ashamed of himself watching her toss
around her bed like a peeping tom or
maybe worst a lot worst. He’s mind is
telling him to go back home but his body
seems to have a mind of its own. 
The window wasn’t lock yet it’s stuck due to long disuse. 
He slides it slowly while cringing at
each paint groan of the metal frame. 
He eases himself slowly in the half open window. 
The room was small. Disorganized yet clean is the best description. 
She’s just like a kid in so many ways.
Books are filled on the floor; 
on a corner he saw her CD collection. She loves Korean music. 
Different sizes of Stitch stuff toys and
memorabilia was arranged around her bed. 
He remember some of them some of it came from him. 
The same picture his staring a while ago
in his room is hanging at the wall. 
Then he looks at her he felt so stupid not to immediately notice her beauty. 
They had been together that it made him blind. 
But seeing her right now she’s far from ordinary…
Her dark hair tangle and wild around her white face. 
Wearing just a simple over size shirt
with a cartoon character design and tatty sweat pants… 
He never imagines any girl could be y in that kind of dress. 
Not until his Gui gui.

Her lips is slightly parted it took him a
great amount of control not to touch it right then and there. 
With so much difficulty he moves away from her, he need to. 
His mind is running into a direction that
could cause him to be in so much trouble
than what he already had now. 
He sat in an old chair in the far corner of the room. 
His eyes never left her face.

“Aaron”

He stared at her unopened eyes. 
He froze. Had he been caught? 
What should he tell her? 
She still looks asleep yet her voice had been so clear when she called his name.
After a short moment she sigh a silent sigh and begin to toss again. 
Her face is now facing him.

“Aaron” she mumbled softly.

He stared at her and came to a conclusion. 
She’s dreaming. She’s dreaming about him. 
He could feel his heart beating fast still his breathing was uneven. 
He saw agony flood through her face. 
He doesn’t understand what that means.
Is she having a nightmare?

“I’ll miss you…” she sighs then a tear fell from her close eyes.

“Gui gui” he called her in a low voice almost like a whisper. 
He wanted to rush to her side but in the last minute he decided to stay.

He stared again in her unconscious face.
She’s sleeping more peacefully now. 
Her face more relax and a slight smile on her lips. 
He sighs and focuses on the view in front her. 
Before the sun rise he took one last look at her and went out of the window. 
He went back home and took a short nap.
