It was a beautiful day, the sun was out, the birds were singing and the clouds were playing peek-a-boo over the far mountains. Hwan, Daim, Jay, Ha Ni, Jin and Kyun pilled up into the company van heading off to their separate place. Ha Ni and Daim were guest starring on Brain Rush, Jin was shooting a CF for Olay, Hwan and Jay were going on a variety show “Meet Star’s Parents” for a Mother’s Day special and finally Kyun was going on a radio show. Later on they would all meet up at Music Core for their performance. Jin groaned quietly, holding on to her side her hip bone was killing her and she felt fatigued. She knew what was wrong and wished it would go away

“What’s wrong?” Ha Ni asked noticing Jin was in pain

“Nothing just cramps” Jin lied. She hated lying but that’s all she could do at the moment

Ha Ni nodded her head and looked within her purse “I think I have pain medication you can-“

She stopped mid sentence when Jin grabbed her wrist “No that’s fine I’m okay.” Ha Ni was surprised but didn’t say anything and went right back to listening to her iPod. Jin sighed rested her head in the palm of her hand. “Why me?” She asked looking at the clouds passing by in the sky

With Jin

They pulled up to Jin’s stop and she got out taking her belonging with her. She walked into the studio greeting everyone there. The scene was set as a modern day bathroom. Blue tile walls, a clean with bathtub, a white marble sink, aquamarine towels, a vanity mirror and dark blue candles. They quickly got her out of her clothes and wrapped a towel around her and her head. They put little make up on her so she could look natural. Jin walked to the set some males looking at her angelic beauty and the director telling her what to do. She went into actress mode and was ready.

Jin sat on the edge of the bath tub the camera zooming in on her face as she made pouty and angry face on cue she started to talk “Aissh~ I hate this soap. It makes my skin dry and it doesn’t even smell good.” She threw the soap on the floor and it broke emphasizing the dryness. She got up to the leave the bathroom when she noticed a bottle of Olay. She gave it a confused face wondering and picked it up reading the back “Guaranteed to make your skin softer, youthful and give it a healthy glow.”

She smiled widely hugging the Olay. She jumped in the bath tub the camera zooming out as she “bathe”. The bottle of Olay on a container the slight sound of water in the background as an announcer says “Olay, love the skin your in”. It took 10 takes before they perfected it but the end result was worth it. Jin said goodbye to the people and waited outside for the van to pick her up the sharp pain still in her side and become even dizzier.

With Ha Ni and Daim

Ha Ni and Daim got out of the van at their stop which happened to be Lotte World

“I missed coming here” Ha Ni cooed

Daim nodded “I wonder what we are going to do.” He grabbed her hand and walked to where they would get ready. The people put on matching green shirts on them which had big yellow words that say ‘Brain Surge’. They had the microphones hooked up and everything. Ha Ni rolled up her pants and put on sneakers and Daim changed into khaki’s and converses. They saw Key and Minho from SHINee there also but instead of wearing green shirts they were wearing blue ones. Ha Ni walked up to them first

“Annyeong! Minho oppa and Key oppa” she said cutely bowing to her oppas who she had gotten to known over the past months

Minho and Key smiled widely at her “Annyeong Ni Ni” they returned her greeting. Daim walked over after tying his shoes

“Annyeong Minho and Key” Minho and Key bowed and returned his greeting “We wish you luck” he said nicely

Minho smirked “We don’t need luck” he said competitively

Key rolled his eyes “Thank you Daim hyung. You are so over competitive” he said to Minho

“No I’m not!”

Back and forth they continued to bicker back and forth while Ha Ni and Daim watched them silently laughing. Together they all walked over to the MC who happened to be Lee Su Geun. They greeted one another then the camera started rolling

“Annyeong! Welcome to KBS number one show Brain Rushwhere celebrites test their lmemory abilities. I’m your host Lee Su Geun.” The MC introduced. Ha Ni and Daim clapped for him “Today we have special guests from top idol groups. First off is Minho and Key from SHINee!” The background music playing was their song Hello. Minho and Kibum did some steps to the song and said hello to everyone

“Annyeonghaseyo we’re Minho and Key from SHINee!” They waved and bowed to the camera

“Wahh~ so much charisma.” Su Geun said “Next we have our other guests Ni Ni and Daim from Juvenile!” Their song Electropop came on and the did the popluar popin move

They stopped and the camera zoomed in on them “Annyeonghaseyo! We’re Ni Ni and Daim from Juvenile!” They waved and bowed to the camera. Daim laughed and jokingly said

“Aren’t we charismatic too?” They laughed and contued with the show

“By now everyone knows the drill. We will tell you things to remember and while on the rollercoaster we will ask you the question and you will give us the answer” The idols nodded in agreement “Okay! According to my lucky hat the first people will be Ha Ni and Daim! Let’s start the show.”

Minho and Key stood on the ground with the MC watching Ha Ni and Daim as they got on the ride ‘The Pharaoh’s Fury’. They had memorized what they had to and thought as though it was going to be easy. They locked themselves in and waited for the ride to start. The camera in front of their faces

The ride started off slow and they easiest questions were asked

“True or false: Like fingerprints, everyone's tongue print is different.”

Ha Ni smiled confident knowing she knew the answer “True!” The bell dinged indicating she got a point. Daim smiled at her happy that their team was going to win. The ride started to go faster and they felt as though their hearts dropped

“What is the strongest muscle in the human body?”

“The tongue!” Daim yelled to the camera afraid for his life. The ride went up higher and Ha Ni felt her feet lift up

“Ahhhh~!” They screamed in unison. Minho and Kibum laughed loudly after hearing Daim scream like a little girl

“What is 111,111,111 x 111,111,111?”

Their eyes opened wide and they looked at eachother in fear they both were tied with 5 points each

“Umm I remember!” Ha Ni yelled “12 34 5 6 78 98 76 5 4 321” she said the numbers slowly and one by one. She waited for the ding and clapped excitedly when it came the excitement turned quickly into fright as the ride went high “Akkkkkkggggggghhhhhhh”

“Wahhhhhhhhh” Daim closed his eyes and put his head in Ha Ni’s shoulder. The people burst out laughing at his feminine acts. The ride was slowly coming to an end and the last question was read

“True or false: The cigarette lighter was invented before the match.”

“True!” The ride ended and Ha Ni and Daim got off the ride. Daim sad his manliness was taken away from him; sad music played as he walked slumped over to the others.

“Aigooo, I think Ni Ni might be more manlier than Daim” Key joked

They laughed and Key and Minho got on the ride they just got off of. The locked themselves in and tried to keep their composure as the ride started.

“True or False: Does sound travel in space?”

“False!” Key yelled clapping excitedly as he heard the ding earning him 10points. Minho took a deep breath trying not to focus on the ride

“True or False: Hara kiri is an impolite way of saying the Japanese word "seppuku" which means, literally, "belly splitting."”

“True!” Minho yelled into the camera, smiling childishly. He heard the ding and did a wave

“True or False: 1 million seconds = 13.5 days.”

“Yah! What’s up with all of these true or false questions?” Key asked the camera jokingly while he said that competitive Minho decided it was time to swoop in and take the point from him

“TRUE!” Key was surprised and hit Minho on the head. The ride went faster and faster their hearts were beating quickly

“Yaccckckkkkkkkkk!” The screeched scared that they would fall out

“How far can pollen travel in a day?”

“500 miles” Key said before Minho had the chance to

“How many people die by a vending machine each year?”

“More than ten people.” The ride came to an end and key came out victorious much to Minho’s dismay. They all walked to the Gyro drop. Key and Ha Ni walked over to the table being the last players.

“In these three envelopes there are three different games since Ha Ni had the least points she will choose” Ha Ni walked up to the table and picked the green envelope. They opened it “Street Wise! I will give you letters to remember that spell out a slang word and you must remember the letters and figure out the slang word.” Key and Ha N nodded “Remember these words R H UI”

They got on the ride Key giving her hand a squeeze as the got in the ride. Ha Ni smiled at him. The ride started by going up slowly until it hit the top where it stopped for a while

“What were the words, you have 10 seconds” They laughed knowing how easy it was but the ride slam down in full speed

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!” They shrieked gripping on to the handle bars

“H!” Ha Ni screamed the first word

“8”

“7”

“R!” Key yelled as the ride went down “Whooo~”

“6”

“Uuuuu aahhhhhhh!” Ha Ni screamed as the ride went up

“3”

“I!” Ha Ni yelled the final word the ride went down for the last time before going up again

“What is the slang word and the meaning?”

“Hiru.” Key said

“It means long time no see!” Ha Ni yelled angry Key took the word from her. The ride ended and Ha Ni did her happy dance at the fact that she won. The others clapped for her even Minho the sore loser.

“Congratulations Ni Ni the only girl here and the only one to win.” He gave her the gift basket she won “Since today is mother’s day would you like to shout out your mother?”

“Umma thank you for giving birth to such a handsome person. Grandmother be well, I will visit soon. Happy Mother’s Day!” Key smiled at the camera and blew it a kiss

“Yo yo yo Mommy it’s Damien your favorite person in the world. I finally got you a gift!” He chuckled at the thought of his mother rolling her eyes at that statement “Happy Mother’s Day!”

“Umma it’s Minho even though I didn’t win I am still your strong little boy. Happy Mother’s Day!” Minho smirked and looked down trying not to show his embarrassment

“Umma! It’s Ha Ni! I love you so much. Umma I bought a lot of chocoooolate~ and I won! Aren’t you proud? Happy Mother’s Day!” The camera turned off and they all went and changed so they could go back

With Kyun

Kyun walked into the radio station and bowed to the host Jung Juri. “Annyeonhaseyo Jung Juri unnie!”

“Aigggooooo you’ve finally come” She gave her a hug and they sat down waiting “Annyeong everyone thank you for tuning in to Jung Juri’s Segychogouladion this beautiful day” Jung Juri said “Today is May 8^th Mother’s Day I hope you got your mother’s something good. Today we have a special guest Sangkyun form idol group Juvenile.”

“Hello everybody” Sangkyun’s smooth voice said “It’s nice to be here.”

“Wow it’s so good to have someone so young and youthful here! The average age of the whole room went down”

Kyun laughed “Only by a little though” She did a hand motion showing that off

“Later on our listeners will have the chance to ask you questions but for now let’s listen to Park Bom’s  You and I”

Kyun pushed her hair back and texted Hwan

Messgae: Baby, I miss you :(

She sent it and brought her focus back to the station. The song was soon over “Wahhhh~ We have so many callers. Hopefully you aren’t calling from inside your car. Talking on the phone inside your car without a Bluetooth is dangerous and against the law.”

“Wow! That’s smart.” She pressed a button “Okay listener number one you’re on”

“Really! That’s great! I just want to know unnie what are your body proportions” The listener asked her high voice almost piercing their ears

Kyun blushed deeply “Oh my gosh well last time I checked it is 34-28-36”

The listener gasped “Unnie wow! I want to be just like you!”

“What about me? Im 36-42-43” Jung Juri jokingly asked

The listener coughed “Sorry I have to go” she hung up and the whole studio burst out laughing.

“Next listener you’re on” Kyun said

“Noona,” Kyun blushed, recognizing Hwan voice “What is your ideal type?”

“Someone who is sweet, caring, protective and would love me even when I get ugly”

“Noona you could never be ugly” Kyun giggled like a maniac and hid her face in her sleeve

“My ideal type is someone like Zac from Juvenile wahhh he is handsome. Can I have his number?” Juri stated out loud

“Sure!” Kyun wrote down the number for her “Zac wherever you are you owe me I just got you a girlfriend!”

Hwan pouted and faked cried as he hung up the phone. “Sounds like the listener was jealous that I might be taken by such a handsome person like Zac!”

Kyun chuckled as Juri pressed for the last listener before the break “Noona when I get older will you marry me?” A little boy asked

“Of course.” Kyun told him sweetly

“If that’s the case just marry me.” Laughter over took the room and even the boy was laughing.

“I just want to say Happy Mother’s Day to everyone with a mother, aunt, sister and grandmother. I hope you enjoy it.” Kyun said sadly wishing her mother was alive. The rest of the show went smoothly and it was much fun. Kyun left and waited for the van.

With Hwan and Jay

Hwan and Jay were in a furious battle of Chicken Fight. Hwan had beaten Junho and Jay had beaten Onew. There mother were opposite of them also engaging in as equal furious battle of Chicken Fight. Yells, cheering and screams from the idols on their team encouraging them more

“I can’t look like a wimp in front of my mother!” Jay yelled as he finally beat Hwan who was now lying on the floor. He got up and wiped the sweat from his frow defeated. He saw his mom was still in the game he perked up and started cheering

“Go Mum!” He said in English with a British accent

Hwan’s mother, Kimberly, looked at him and smiled putting all her strength into the chicken fight. She won and ran to her son attacking him in a hug “I did so well out there son. Did you see me?” Hwan nodded hugging her tightly

Jay’s mother, Chan Mi, pouted and went over to Jay “Son I lost but you won! Yay!” They high-fived eachother smiling widely. They other members competed in the games and they all sat down so they could talk and eat. Jay’s mother fed him some sandwiches. Hwan ate by himself his mother sometimes telling him to wipe his mouth.

“I think we all had a great time today. Let’s ask some questions before we go” Myungsoo said. He asked all the parents questions and it came to Kimberly “If you would allow your son to marry anyone in his group who would it be?”

Kimberley stopped eating and thought “I think Jin she seems mature and caring.” Hwan tried to hide his disappointment she didn’t choose Kyun his real girlfriend. The others nodded and Myungsoo turned to Chan Mi

“Why does Jay always carry a teddy bear?”

Chan Mi laughed “Joey is his other half. Ever since he was little wherever Jay was Joey would be too.  I could never separate them so I let him keep it.” The ended the show shortly after. The guys said goodbye to their mothers who were picked up by their husbands an then the van pulled up. Everyone was inside and they drove off to Music Core.

At Music Core

They got their pretty quick. They ran out and got ready for their performance. They were dressed in the concept outfits and they went on stage. Jin was weak and weary put still smiled in the face of their fans. The song started off slow, the faint sound of the piano played in the background. They sung the song like usual but Jin’s vision got blurry as the other groups got on stage. The feeling from her legs went away and before she knew it everything went black.

Everyone stopped what they were doing. Daim helped pick her up and the other members followed as manger got the van ready s they could head to the hospital

At the Hospital

Jin lay in the familiar hospital bed. She saw Dr. Kim and Manager Tae Hyun standing there talking. She knew what the conversation was about and she hated that fact. The words ‘Acute Leukemia’ ‘Chemotherapy’ ‘Death’ were thrown around

The finally noticed she was awake. Manager Tae Hyun was crying and it could be seen “Why didn’t you tell me?”

Jin sighed “Then I wouldn’t have been able to debut.”

“Are you stupid?! Your life is in jeopardy and all you care about is debuting?!” He stood up furious at the fact she would choose her career over life. The doctor saw the scene and placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down

“Like I was saying Mr. Kim it would be best to start Chemo as soon as possible.” Manager nodded and Jin cried silently knowing she would be able to promote anymore. Outside the door the members sat waiting to know what happened. They didn’t even change their clothes. Kyun held on to Hwan’s hand

“Baby I’m scared” Hwan rubbed her shoulders trying to comfort his traumatized girlfriend

“I now Kyun Min we’ll get through this soon.” He kissed her hoping it would help. Somehow he knew it wouldn’t.
