I reached her doorstep and rang the doorbell multiple times.
“C’mon.. C’mon..”

No one was answering.

Then I remembered her words before I left the room.

‘I’ll wait for you.’

“Shibal! Is she still- Aish!” I banged the door in frustration.

I got on a bus.

“Hurry up.. Hurry up..” I tapped my foot.

Due to traffic, the bus was running very slowly.

“I’m getting off!” I told the driver and got off the bus.

I ran as fast as I could towards the hospital.

Reaching the lobby, I rested my hands on my knees and tried to catch my breath.

I went to the info desk.
“Excuse me. Has. Kim Hyerin. been discharged?” I asked out of breath.
“Kim Hyerin? Hmm.. Ah nae. Just 3 hours ago.”

*! She couldn’t have waited that long, could she?!* I started to panic.

I thought of looking around the hospital to search for her.

After a while, I started to lose hope when I couldn’t find her anywhere.

*There’s still one place I haven’t checked yet.*
I looked at the hospital’s map and headed for the garden.

I prayed for her to be there.

Just as I stepped outside to the garden, I saw a small figure sitting at the edge of the fountain.
